  1. Mine would have to be Corkscrew at Silverwood. I went two days, and the first day I did all the others than the next day rode Corkscrew first.
  2. Windseeker would like a word with you. Windseeker is not an observation ride in any way you look at it. It just has a nice view.
  3. So here is the artwork showing the water feature I saw. Hopefully this is the actual water feature inside a rock tunnel with waterfalls going in the middle of the helix, because it looks pretty amazing! Also, Lagoon just released a teaser for Cannibal on their Facebook page! Definitely helps build up some anticipation. [fbvideo] [/fbvideo]
  4. X-cars, Gerstlauer like Lynet, DDD or Anubis, etc. I don't find the trains pretty, but I think it will ride great! Cannibal is definitely a ride I'm waiting for. And it has some themed parts, too! The tunnel is right under two huge temples, and the water feature has a rock tunnel as well in the helix (there's some picture of the final plan somewhere.) Definately will help with the ride as well having it!
  5. This does however say it's only concept, so the trains could be completely different as well as the layout it shows.
  6. Because an in-house coaster would totally have Zamperla trains.
  7. So I can't find anything on it, but didn't you say Rob that Merlin had some type of announcement? Because I can't find anything of it except it was going to happen on the second day.
  8. I do beleive it's for this: http://www.chancerides.com/rides/freestyle.html That's exactly what it is for. An updated Wipeout. Chance is also selling their full catalog again (they sold a Zipper at IAAPA), so an updated Chaos might happen... So they also have an updated Zipper too?
  9. You know, with beast, I can see them contact RMC to change a few dead parts on Beast and give it topper track, but other than that Beast is very good as is. It's just a few of those parts that are dragged out way too long.
  10. For those who are wanting some kind of update, I'm planning on heading out there next week to get some photos from Lagoon Dr.
  11. This park never opened until after the Olympics, so expect this to be a Hard Rock Park scenario in the future, without the coaster and/or rides going anywhere.
  12. All of it is needed. Hands down. Where it got pointless is what needs to come first, reason why I stopped. Besides that, any new construction updates with the webcam?
  13. Robb, can you tape some of Strike-U-Up at IAAPA and release it on YouTube? Seems interesting. Am I missing something? What is so interesting? What has been released besides the name? The details of the ride is being released at IAPPA
  14. Not that I'm nitpicking having one or the other, as I LOVE Air Race models, but does Air Raid mean the screaming swings attraction isn't happening anytime soon?
  15. You stated yourself they are already doing a waterpark expansion and fixed some of the major walkways for better crowd flow. They are in the process of all you have stated and a coaster in no way would hinder that. They could completely change a dead end with a new coaster. They could add new restrooms with a new coaster. They could cover most of these by the time the new coaster comes around. All of this will take years to finish anyway, so why not add a coaster with all of this? To the GP eyes, they will see a new coaster with inversions a reason to go to Valleyfair. They wont be willing to go again for wider walkways and better restrooms. They would want to STAY because of that for a better overall experience. Yes, they are also needed. However, so is a coaster. Besides, major flat rides would take a few years to get a nice collection for Valleyfair. It again states my point of why not add a coaster if the funds are there for it and it would bring in the GP. There's no way one inverting coaster when the last major coaster was five years ago, and the last inverting coaster was back in the 80's. We are not getting a new major coaster every two or so years like other Cedar Fair parks. For this park, one major inverting coaster can't possibly hurt a thing.
  16. From an enthusiast point, yes. From a business and GP point, a new inverting coaster at VF will only make the park better, and fills a void that has been there for quite a while. Everything else either can be done in an off season, or done after the one major coaster. Basically, the park is trying to bring in the customers first, then the years after (hopefully) will keep the customers around with the other improvements you listed.
  17. A bit late, but the best would be the Olde Time Grill in Pioneer Village.
  18. How about they just clone WMG here and put it in the old Pirates building? The problems with that ride seem to be worse than a regular dark ride. How rough the turns outside the mountain are rough, the themeing for the ride is unfinished, the guns don't work many times, and the synching for the ride is now off. I would rather see a classic dark ride with animatronics than a WMG "clone" at Cedar Point.
  19. yes, yes they are. You agree with what I'm saying though right? I guess, but with Cedar Fair's current spending habits, it doesn't seem real that they would do two major projects like so. With that, I still don't want to see another B&M. Give me a Mack or RMC.
  20. Well, if Cedar Fair is looking at improving multiple parks in one season, B&M is not the right manufacturer for every coaster when every coaster they have constructed has been about $20 million each, and the reason why we have only seen one coaster a year with Cedar Fair for quite some time now. If they are looking at two coasters for two parks, (Valleyfair and CW) they need to look somewhere else for at least one of these coasters that would be more cost efficient. I'm seriously not trying to burst your bubble or counter anything you say but Canada's Wonderland is probably going to take up $30 million dollars with this expansion, and my reasonings do make sense; 1- Construction for this ride has started earlier then leviathan and park management has said to expect a "VERY LARGE project and if you see what they've built over the past several years expect innovative and big". 2- Canada's Wonderland is the most attended regional park in North America. 3- they removed a looping coaster from our coaster count and 2016 falls under the every 4 years Cedar Fair adds a big coaster to CW. Now in support of your idea of Valley Fair getting a big coaster in 2016, you'll notice Cedar Fair didnt build much for 2015 or any big coaster, and our construction here at CW has started really early. So the cost of this 2016 coaster for CW may fall under the 2015 additions cost and not 2016 as they usually have to pay up when construction starts. Just satying that sounds logical but I could be wrong, however I'm sure anyone who follows coaster projects can agree this is going to be a $25 million dollar+ coaster project and I can link you to articles that say this is "A VERY LARGE PROJECT" Fury 325 is not a big coaster?
  21. The main reason that Cannibal isn't getting much talk is because the park made the announcement at a small event. They haven't released that many details, or even a video of any type. It is a very intriguing project, though. And to be honest, it's the best we would ever get out of Lagoon. If they could, they wouldn't do any type of announcement until a week before the season starts.
  22. Because it's my home park, Cannibal! But I don't get how people aren't more excited for this ride. It's the second largest coaster opening in the U.S. with a very unique layout (that we know) and manufacturing. For a new coaster outside of my home park, I would have to go with Batman. Those S&S Free Spins look like what a 4th Dimension Coaster should be.
  24. I wish Cedar Fair would go with something other than a B&M. They have saturated their parks with B&M Coasters and I'm ready for something else.
