  1. I don't think you know what "literally" means. Literally. http://theoatmeal.com/comics/literally Actually, Webster's Dictionary changed that within the past year or so... "literally" literally no longer means literally".. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/literally That is sad... It seems improper use of words are turning into an art of changing the English language.
  2. I wonder why on SFM is the only park receiving one this season? I know of two other parks who could really use Skyscreamers as well. (SFMM and SFA)
  3. Very interesting. Would CGA keep the special 49ers plaza open during the games or would that be closed as well? I would hope not, as that was the main reason for that new plaza to get a profit from the 49er fans.
  4. What if they put the water slide to go over the entrance? THAT would be pretty sweet.
  5. That's what's making me a bit doubtful about a new coaster at VF in 2016/2017. Valleyfair is due for a new coaster, but so are Dorney, WOF, and MA, and if this one coaster per year trend continues (Banshee was the only new CF coaster this year), then we may have to wait even longer. I wouldn't be doubtful. Cedar Fair wants to make a huge investment at this park, so I see a new coaster at Valleyfair coming. I just hope they also add another new coaster at any place you listed as well. It doesn't need to be over ten million to make a statement.
  6. I think I would prefer a hyper over an invert. Kings Island got a hyper 5 years before they got an invert. Wild Thing is considered a hyper, so they are much overdue for an invert. Hopefully with the invert addition Cedar Fair could add a second roller coaster to another park the 2016 season. It seems Fury 325 is the ONLY coaster going into a Cedar Fair park this next season.
  7. Could this be because they saw a decrease in attendance and is trying to go back to the old 90's theory that thrill rides will bring in the crowds? The most ideal theory is that Six Flags has become THAT lazy now.
  8. The real problem I have is how you can ride one at every county fair for a few tickets, yet go to an amusement park and pay good money to find a "prettier" version. I don't think of that as a good investment anywhere except for a very small amusement park like Waldemeer or Quassy. I didn't like the Elitch Gardens addition, and especially don't like these being added to Six Flags parks. It screams cheap to me.
  9. Oh look, more teal track... I want to see some orange track for a change.
  10. Bad marketing, yet Cedar Fair calls a family ride a coaster, and not considered as horrible marketing ploy. At least, not as bad as what Six Flags ever gets.
  11. Or you could be positive for once and see it this way: At least three other Six Flags parks (Great Adventure, Over Georgia, and Discovery Kingdom) are rumored to be getting a horrible, low capacity carnival flat ride. Meanwhile, Six Flags St. Louis is replacing its rundown, low capacity dark ride with one that should be superior in every way. I think it's hard to think positive when your home park is SFSTL. YOUR GETTING A REVAMPED DARK RIDE AND NOT A CARNIVAL RIDE. Six Flags actually put THOUGHT into next year's addition for SFSTL, instead of another Boomerang. This time, SFSTL is getting a wise investment. If that isn't something to be positive about, I wonder if you actually WANT a Super Loop.
  12. Because SFA can call their ride a star attraction to their lineup as SFGAdv. can't and don't need to, thus creating bigger lines at one more than the other.
  13. This is Six Flags America, so I don't expect it. Considering this is expanding the Mardi Gras section, which was just added, expect this to be the only addition next season.
  14. I feel this is that careful what you wish for thread. Everyone wished Six Flags would add a thrilling flat ride. "Granted, but it's a super loop."
  15. It hasn't been announced yet. Word on the street we will hear something in a few weeks
  16. People keep saying get free ice water, but do know some parks don't offer free ice water. At Lagoon, I got the rude awakening as they told me I had to pay .50 for it. It definitely isn't breaking the bank, but scavenging for profit in a desert is not exactly a wise choice.
  17. You have just been fooled by KBrylczyk then. It's obvious every picture he posts saying it's a tweet that was deleted before he could take a screenshot of the actual tweet is in fact fake. Yes, their are REAL tweets from SFFT, but all of these pics revealing hints to Time Machine are not. Good job for trolling everyone btw, KBrylczyk! People believed it!
  18. Chocolate chips
  19. These additions Cedar Fair has been investing in are actually extremely smart, in my opinion. They might not have a spectacular ride for every park every season, but people will look at what Six Flags is getting and what Cedar Fair is getting. The GP will definitely want to go ride a giga than a smaller steel hybrid or wooden coaster, even if it's a B&M vs. RMC. Us coaster enthusiasts know RMC has been creating world class coasters while B&M's are "nice," but we are the 1% of the amusement industry; people don't care what we have to say.
  20. ... Are people being sarcastic or do they really think all of these "tweets" are real??
  21. To be honest, why are people SURPRISED about this and are only now complaining? You knew EXACTLY what you were getting when B&M came around and this being a giga if you followed this. It's exactly what will be eaten up by GP with the record and layout. What we should realize is B&M hasn't created any bad coasters ever besides a few stand-ups and (in my opinion) Gatekeeper. It's not like they just handed you a Volare and asked you to use your imagination. That being said, their are two pretty promising points in the layout. The low to the ground overbanked s-curves and the drop below the walkway. The rest seems like a definite cookie-cutter ride, but this is a giga custom cookie-cutter and not an actual cookie-cutter spinning coaster stuffed into a building with special paint. *cough* Hersheypark *cough* I personally am excited for the ride as it won't really disappoint as a giga coaster and will provide an amazing ROI for Carowinds. And the new entrance looks BEAUTIFUL in my opinion. Including the landscaped drop under the walkway. That looks like it will be pretty to walk over and really give a nice atmosphere before you enter. Again, this entire project gives exactly what the park needs. For the ones who say a wing coaster would be better, how many wing coasters have you heard get as many rave reviews as Leviathan? I don't understand how coaster enthusiasts think wing coasters would be a better ride than a giga? Remember guys, even though Thunderbird is a wing coaster, the only reason people are excited is because B&M is actually making a launched coaster. If it had a lift and a drop, I bet people would not find the coaster as glamorous. Not bashing Thunderbird, but lets look at what B&M has made and realize Banshee is just one coaster and not necessarily a "comeback." :soapbox:
  22. One roller coaster since they re-acquired a permanent ownership on the place (which was almost three years ago now) doesn't scream to me a major long-term investment. Not asking for another coaster, but maybe a family ride package or (better yet) a water park expansion.
  23. Hersheypark was able to market a cloned spinner as a world's first with glow in the dark paint. I bet Six Flags can find an even more gimmicky way to make a 4D coaster a world's first. They could even give it world's first semi-controlled 4D coaster. Marketing is not that hard to figure out most of the time.
  24. That only leaves Michigan's Adventure and CGA. Not surprising for MA, but didn't Cedar Fair say the three parks they are looking at for major improvement included California's Great America? Why hasn't their been any leaks about what could be coming to CGA for next year? The 3 parks with growth are Carowind's, California's Great America, and Valleyfair. Exactly. I'm wondering why their hasn't been any news on what California's Great America would be getting in the future, let alone next year.
