  1. Nice! That looks like a fun event. Very party atmosphere.
  2. ^ Steel Vengeance is still pretty new. Except for those of us who live in the Midwest, even a lot of Americans won't have had a chance just yet. But I agree with you, those two next to each other makes that frontier area even better than it already was. Just needs a log flume, and it'd be perfect.
  3. If you want to buy a cool 150th anniversary T-shirt then wait. Otherwise just go this year. There is absolutely no way Cedar Point would do something so stupid as to build a very expensive, highly marketable ride on a year that is already highly marketable.
  4. If it's what I think you're talking about, it's a restraint number to recheck. Either 1 or 2 for which seat, then the row number 1 through 14. The computer tells them one isn't locked all the way, so they do that to quickly point the ops to the trouble spot so they can get it to lock correctly.
  5. Yep, exactly right, on both counts. Although the beer selection at Melt is pretty great.
  6. Got that in exchange for the Grizzlies?
  7. Nice, I'll have to check out Brick Oven when I'm there next. Cameo is really good. Been meaning to try Chet and Matt's at some point also.
  8. I still maintain that Famous Dave's is not actually good barbecue, just good for Ohio. But then I live within four hours of Kansas City, St. Louis, and Memphis. Seriously, if'n y'all haven't been, go check out Q39, Jack Stack, or Gates in KC. Go check out Bogart's or Sugarfire in St. Louis. Go check out Leonard's or Central in Memphis. Now those are good BBQ. But by all means, when you're at Cedar Point, go to Famous Dave's. Just realize that it only stands out because of the mediocrity of its competition.
  9. Zero. Not with the only two in the US being in Chicago and Branson.
  10. Water's what ya use ta clean the floor, right? Then it's clean!
  11. I wouldn't want them to remove Joker. It's a gentle enough ride that all my kids will go on it. Only my son wanted to go on Riddler Revenge. Six Flags has a small enough selection of big, gentle rides as it is. They shouldn't lose another.
  12. Yeah, a Giant Discovery would fit in Ninja's location. Ninja is a compact coaster, but it's still pretty big. I would be very ok with having a Giant Discovery at our park. Riddler Revenge is fantastic.
  13. Fast Lane + is very much recommended at the end of July, as it's always busy that time of year. The first hour is really great, even if you'll have FL+ the rest of the day. I generally stay offsite in a cheap but acceptable hotel, then get a Platinum Pass. It gives you Fast Lane + for the regular Fast Lane price, plus one hour early entry, plus parking, plus waterpark admission too. Best deal there is if you're going multiple days.
  14. Oh man, this looks fantastic! https://www.kctv5.com/news/worlds-of-fun-debuts-largest-summer-event-in-park-history/article_7666d148-a18b-11e9-b118-47def6bcdf4d.amp.html
  15. You guessed it! That's City Hall, and yeah, it's a really cool old building.
  16. I have deferred to the expertise of my wife, and with her permission to share all this, she says you'll probably have no trouble on Monster. She is a size 16 and has no difficulties at all on Monster and likely at an 18/20 you'll be just fine.
  17. And that is accurate, to do it justice. The more time you can spend here the better. Just don't skip it because you think there's not enough time.
  18. ^ You can do everything at City Museum in about an hour. You'll want to spend all day, it's that great--but it's easy to squeeze in even if you don't have a ton of time.
  19. Glad you really enjoyed the City Museum. The ride signs and additional video monitors are a bummer but expected. Telling you you can't do something for your own safety completely goes against the MO of that place but again, expected. Sorry you couldn't experience it in the raw bit hey, running on 3 cylinders, it's still good.
  20. Reuben's Swashbuckling Adventure is a fun short musical. Good songs, good choreography, good plot that makes lots of left turns and ends up in a surprising place. Got some new construction photos too.
  21. We will 100% certainly see something for the 150th. I'm guessing probably 150th T-shirts, 150th hats, a message on the electronic marquee at the entrance stating that it's the 150th season. Lots in store.
  22. I'll have to take your word on that. I have no desire to ever be in New York in the winter.
