It still wouldn't be as good as a roller coaster on the moon. What if Jim Henson were still alive?

^ Yes, they have a satisfaction guaranteed policy. They will give you tickets to return another day if you aren't completely happy with your visit. Just one of the many things that makes this place so awesome. ^^ Don't skip the cave tour! It's absolutely a must do. Save an hour for it. Also, don't just run from ride to ride; there are so many little things you'll miss if you do that. This is by no means a "credit run." People sometimes treat it like that, because it "only" has 4 big coasters. Take some time just strolling through the park. Look at stuff that catches your eye. You really can have a great time here without riding a single ride. The rides are just a bonus. Enjoy your time in Branson!

If they get a new coaster now, they'll only boost attendance temporarily. Those who come back will only be pissed off at the poor food operations and lack of shade and not return. Then you'll have a park with ten roller coasters that still sucks. They need to fix what's wrong with this park, and the roller coaster collection is not what's wrong.

We went earlier this year. You're not missing much. Your money is better spend elsewhere at Silver Dollar City or Holiday World, unless you plan to visit Cedar Fair's other gems, specifically Fury 325 and whatever park it's in. On that note, If given the option, I would scrap our entire park from Screaming Eagle to Justice League for a clone of Fury 325, a beer stand, and a porta potty. You can even sell off the rest of the acreage to be used for the worst smelling landfill in the country and I would still visit at least once a year, as opposed to the current park. Tell us how you really feel. But seriously, I pretty much agree with all of this. We swore it off after 2007 due to a series of terrible visits, where they just simply couldn't get their sh*t together. I'm not one to require that everything be to my liking to enjoy a park, but when every little thing from the entrance to food service to the state of the rides is just that bad, a park I loved on the 90s had just become no longer fun. I'm sure experiences like mine were part of the reason for the 2010 bankruptcy. We gave it another chance in 2014, since gold SFStL passes were the same price as one day at SFGAm (weird Six Flags pricing), and I really wanted to experience Goliath. I was very impressed with the improvements to SFStL, and we kept the membership for last year and had a good time. This year we opted for Worlds of Fun with their new children's rides, and everyone has agreed it's been a far more pleasant experience. Their dining plan is headache free, and I never could say that about Six Flags. We paid about twice all told for the Worlds of Fun season pass than we did for Six Flags, but we've also used it about twice as much too. For us, both places are about 3 hours away, so the choice is clear.

The super 8 near Kings Island? Ew. we made that mistake once too. If you can still change your reservation, I stayed at the Baymont across the highway from Kings Island. It was cheap and actually a decent hotel. -
Ride Bucket List

That's the first time I've ever heard anyone complain about Nemesis. It's been consistently ranked higher than 12 every single year on the Mitch poll and most people prefer the old school restraints anyways. It's on my personal wish list too and for good reason. Nah, I prefer those type of restraints to the modern best ones like Swarm, but these ones are coated in a solid white paint. Rankings are not the most important thing, Helix is an awesome coaster and has not been up there. Don't get me wrong it is a great ride, but not a bucket list ride. Nemesis is on my personal bucket list because of awesome theming, being an incredible park, and the fact that if I'm riding it, then I'm in England! Making a trip to the British Isles is a bucket list item for me in itself. I'm sure if you live there, it's not as exciting. For me, England and Ireland are the home of my ancestors. America is such a collection of everywhere and everyone, which is awesome in itself. But I want to see where I come from. -

Larry, here's a picture of KK's Raging Rapids' entrance plaza, which includes the ride sign. Maybe you can crop ot, or just use it as a placeholder until you get a better one. -

^ Your best bet is to contact the park about getting a disability pass. Even if you can walk with crutches, it's not going to be fun to stand in lines with them. There's a bit of paperwork to fill out, but then you can go in the exits without having to physically stand in line. If you get the disability pass, they will make accommodations for you. -
ALT Goes to Lagoon
ytterbiumanalyst replied to ALT2870's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Lagoon looks like a lot of fun. Seems like just about everyone who goes there has good things to say about it. I'm a big fan of national parks as well, and Utah has some great ones. I'll inevitably get here someday when the timing's right. One tip for making a better trip report: You may want to refrain from taking pictures while driving. Better chances of being around to make more trip reports. -
