  1. IMO, if SFStL were to receive a Giant Discovery, it would most likely replace Excalibur. So, great as it would be, it would still suck to lose a flat as a replacement. It could replace the go karts. I remember hearing that there was an expansion plan involving the go karts' removal for a new ride plaza for Boss and some new flats.
  2. I went on the one at Little Amerricka just because it looked so weird. It was not good in any way. I'm thinking there's a very good reason that ride type died out.
  3. Lol! Oh Knoebels, why must thou be so far away? Of parks I've been to, Holiday World is the best, with all 3 just phenomenal. Voyage is the best non-RMC I've ever ridden. Runner up would be Six Flags St. Louis. Boss, Screamin' Eagle, and American Thunder are all great rides. The steel coasters there are hit and miss, but the wood ones are consistently great.
  4. Timber Twister at Spirit Mountain Adventure Park in Duluth, Minnesota. My first alpine coaster!
  5. Kings island didn't steal anything..... Of course they did. It was payback for Cedar Point stealing the dive coaster from Canada's Wonderland. Paramount parks gotta stick together.
  6. Agreed. I appreciate Excalibur being there, as it is rare, but I've never ridden it and I doubt I ever will. A Giant Discovery is a different story. I would definitely ride the heck out of that.
  7. Pretty standard. Coasters run in the rain, not with lightning. Mr. Freeze will probably run in the rain, since the LSMs are indoors, but it can close if the rain affects the holding brake at the top if the spike. It's really the only iffy one. Also, I've heard that New Revolution doesn't operate in the rain. No personal experience with this, as strapping a cell phone to my face is not going to get me to go back on Ninja.
  8. I thought Rougarou was great through the first half, but nothing special at all after the MCBR. It just kind of wanders. I'd rank it last among floorlesses I've been on.
  9. What St. Louis has is a system where you can pay once and sign in and sign out to the fluffy bunnies near each ride as you want. So they're all day, but always near you. The question is really whether Magic Mountain has that system, or whether you have to pay individually for each fluffy bunny rental near the rides.
  10. ^ Two days at KBF is a great plan. Have fun! My #150 will likely be at Magic Mountain. I know, I need to get out more. See? I'm getting out more. First time to the West Coast!
  11. It's whatever you want to do. Everyone counts differently, and ultimately it's your list. The main purpose is for you to remember the experiences you've had. If you want to count both sides to remember that you had both experiences, go for it. If you feel Matterhorn Bobsleds as a whole is one experience, that's cool too. Well, counting coasters isn’t really cool, per se, but you get the idea. We're all nerds with you.
  12. You need to go experience Shivering Timbers. The rest of the park is merely okay, but Shivering Timbers is one of the best wooden roller coasters out there. You're really only going to that park for that one ride, but it's totally worth it.
  13. I don't see how anyone can disagree with this statement. Yeah, well, try being stuck on the brakes in the flying position for 15 minutes barely able to breathe. Superman can go die in a fire.
  14. I agree. (Feel nickel and dimed to death). I'd be okay with paying like 10'bucks with the ability to drop in and out of all the sets near rides... We have that at Six Flags St. Louis. Does Magic Mountain not have the floating fluffy bunnies?
  15. Are you not doing the Magic Mountain day of WCB?
  16. Ohhh, it was such a good ride. So much airtime, and lateral forces. I wish it could have some how made its way to SDC. Yes, that one went before its time. My personal favourite GCI, out of about a dozen total. At least we got Outlaw Run as consolation.
  17. Obviously they're 25th anniversary rocks. Because we all know how Cedar Point does special things for anniversaries.
  18. The S&S Free Spins have been 120', so unless they can get a custom one at least 20' shorter, that idea is out.
  19. Front Row... Outlaw Run... After Dark. It will change your life!! Agreed. Also, since you'll be there until midnight, get a night ride on Powder Keg as well. The pyro effect after dark is amazing.
  20. Adventureland! I'm as excited as the news guy in my avatar!
  21. I thought Vortex was a lot of fun. I think some of the kids that grew up on laser-cut, computer-designed, glass - smooth coasters just don't understand it. It's an old school big, intimidating beast that pushed some limits in its day. It's way more forceful than Banshee too.
  22. No. Is it stupidly hot today where you live?
