  1. RollerCoaster Tycoon World Production Blog Post #2
  2. lol you're right. There's so many coaster games in development now, it's hard not to mix them up.
  3. I'd be happy to tell you! My main sources of income are park entrance tickets, which average round $3000-$4000/month and food/drink/merchandise sales, which total around $1000/month. The rides are free, but I earn a rather negligible sum off ride photos, about $100/month, although that may increase slightly as newer rides are introduced with on ride photo systems (currently there are only two in the park). This further sells it for me. I think your model represents the most realistic income structure for most amusement parks. A "per-ride" structure certainly exists in some cases, but park entrance is still the best way to go when looking for a true representation. Still offers you the ability to thro in an occasional "up-charge" style ride, too! ^I do this also, creating a realistic financial structure for Valley Hills based upon the park's actual income. I've spent countless hours using excel spreadsheets to see what's being spent where to ensure I know, realistically, how much I can invest for the next season. Anyways, It's always great to see a solid woodie in every park, and Mammoth meets that quota to a T. It brought in a good early-season crowd, but unfortunately it looks like that hasn't worked out to well with the new attendance figures. It's a shame that the SAT's props have been removed. I always thought it was a unique attraction, but it is a somewhat "questionable" investment. At least Coyote still seems to be bringing in the guests, this must be a solid arrow suspended. Hopefully, things may start to look bright again. I pray that they don't sell out to Six Flags, those cheapskate's would milk this park into the ground.
  4. Wow, wasn't expecting this one. I wonder, how it will vary from RCTWorld?
  5. This park deserves WAY more comments, one of the best rct2 parks I've seen. The Space Invader Theater sound interesting. I for one, do not visit parks for the theaters, but you've somehow swayed me otherwise. Quite the accomplishment from a RCT park. The attraction does sound very intriguing, and is something new and unique for Frontier Forest. I also like how the old arcade was renovated into a new structure, as it took advantage of the current real-estate, as opposed to building it in some other corner of the park. I like how the Forest Arcade was added to a more sparse area of the park, to possibly increase foot traffic. It's the little, realistic choices like this that really add to the park's appeal, at least to me. As a RCT park creator myself, I can notice these little choices and really appreciate them as I know there is a lot of thought put behind every decision, such as this. Alpine Bobsleigh was a rather "different' choice by management, but I can see that they want to stay in competition and not lose out to Kings Dominion. I like the trend on unique attractions this park seems to be going with, this could possibly be what the park needs to compete. I hope the kiddie area can see some expansion soon. Looking forward to what's next to come in 93.
  6. From what I can see, Valley Heights looks like a great park to visit. The park has a signature ride, the wooden coaster, along with a few family flats, and a thrill ride, spread throughout beautifully, vegetation-heavy, midways. I like the overall layout, and I think it works well. This park has a solid foundation, and I'm interested in how things will go for this one. Looking forward to a great story to match. (can you make the pictures less pixel-ly, I'd like to view this park in a decent resolution, at least.)
  7. High Voltage sounds interesting. At 208' & 67 mph, High Voltage is the world's; 2nd tallest, and tied for 2nd fastest (with Alpengeist), Inverted Roller Coaster. An Intamin is surely going to be a crowd pleaser.
  8. The answer is simple. Intamin Link B&M Link If a client would want a looping coaster, then they would go for a "looping coaster" model, not a giga coaster. However, if one would want inversions, I'm sure the supplying company be more than willing to at least look into it. But then that defeats the entire purpose of a giga-coaster, since it would be completely out of the characteristics that make it a giga-coaster.
  9. Circus world looks great, one of the more unique areas I have seen. Big Top restaurant should be a hit, seeing as it is the largest eatery in the park, this should help even out the food options. Lots of family friendly rides around Sassaquin Pond Park, realistic for the time period. I also like how Cyclone utilizes the terrain to make a unique ride experience, that seems to be this park's signature ride. Keep these updates coming, and I hope the 70's are just as good as the 60's.

  15. Wow, some people cant wait their turn. Oh well....
  16. Six Flags Great America? edit: dang, to late
  17. This new dark ride looks really cool, I'm surprised this is coming to a SF park. Now only if the final product can be as amazing, smart money says no.
  18. ^When the company you work for spends tens of millions of dollars on something, you better protect said product with your life. Especially from those pesky enthusiasts
  19. What do you mean by "steering system"? I have never heard of this.
