Why do you love TPR?

It would never be the same without them . -
What song are you listening to?

Asking Alexandria- The Final episode. -
Crystal Castles is beautiful. I love their song "Empathy." I was trying to look for their albums at Hot Topic, but couldn't find it. I have them on my Ipod though. Do any of you like Indie bands like The Dandy Worholds, Miles Kayne, Pink Floyd, Foster the People, or Gorillaz?

Top / Best Amusement Park (s)
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to bodombeast's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd say probably Kings Island, Six Flags Great Adventure & Six Flags Great America are a tie for me. They have high quality top notch rides, and friendly staff. I absolutely LOVED X-Flight at SFGam., and I love Nitro at SFGadv. -

I love TPR because of how nobody's afraid to express themselves, they aren't afraid to tell the truth/ their opinion's about things, and everyone has funny personalities. You can be anyone, and have fun on here!! -
Six Flags America has a really nice set of rides, and they are usually well maintained actually. it just seems like most of the break-down's , and issue's happen on crowded days. I remember even when Two-Face was still running , Two-Face would always have problems, and I remember this once it got stuck, and everyone left the line, and we got to the front of the air gates. When it started running again about 7 mins. later, the same people came back in line , feeling stupid they left, lol.I feel like if they actually took good care of Two-Face, they could have re-opened it without a problem in 09'. the media had nothing to do with it, because whenever Two-Face is discussed with GP, I've only had one person know about the hydraulic accident. It was news to everyone else. Some people thought it cut someone's legs off, and that confused me =P, KI takes such good care of Invertigo, except with the new paint job,Xd, I miss the old colors .

I don't think so, Two-Face actually made CNN for being stuck, but that is a strong factor. I know someone who is from maintinence at SFA. She said it was mainly because of the # of accidents Two-Face had, not because of the media. She also told me they were originally intending on re-opening it for the 09' season, but changed their minds because she described it as the park's maintinence nightmare. She said that during the 07' season Two-Face had problem's with restraints, and had problems almost every day. She said the new "maintnence nightmare" is Batwing and Jokers Jinx. Whatever, I'm just glad Two-Face found a new home .

Apocalypse at SFA. Please send the bag-o-crap via mail -
I've never been there, but from what it looked like, I think the park is similar to SFA, and SFstl . I think we would have seen a re-located coaster there, probably Batwing from SFA. I also think a SkyScreamer would have went there, maybe actually a nice new coaster like Superman from SFDK too, and maybe a Bonzai Pipelines for the water park. I am sad that they shut it down, they should have just sold it to another chain...

Six Flags St. Louis doesn't seem like a bad park at all. They got a really good new wooden coaster not too long ago. They also turned Mr. Freeze around this year.I think for their size, the park is really good. They just might have had really low GP comming in the past two years or so to cause them to get this ride. Six Flags knows it's not worth putting in a record-breaking coaster in a park where not that many people show up, it's just a waste... Boomerang could be a nice addition to the park. Carowinds just recently installed Carolina Cobra, but nobody gave them this much hate for it. I don't think there is such thing as a "hand-me-down" park in any chain. Don't hate untill you try it , and cut them some slack, their trying to change things.

The two thatI rode, which scared me the first time were Two-Face and Jokers Jinx at SFA. Two-Face was my first roller coaster, and it went backwards, and the airtime scared me. I thought I was going to fall out!!, that's because back then,I didn't know your supposed to have airtime on coasters. My sister was telling me "You did it!", when we were comming down the lift back into the station, and according to my cousin, my face was "epic" during the ride, lol. Jokers Jinx scared me during the launch. I remember waiting in line for it for the first time, and it launched so loudly, I flinched, lol. I was so scared, and shaking when the op. said "All Clear, This Batch." The launch felt soooo intense back then. When I was in the tunnel, I felt like it wasn't going to be over for a long time. after the sidewinder/cobra roll, I liked it though, I was screaming, and screaming, and then I sudenly stoped, and put my hands up.

There are many great coasters and rides that got scrapped, or are being scrapped, and rides that are in storage, or the current status of the ride is unkown. Which one's do you miss the most? Here's my list: Son Of Beast: Kings Island Batman: The Escape: Defunct SFAW/ Darien Lake, (never rode it, but it looks cool.) The Jester: Defunct SFNO: (Never rode it, but it looked cool.) Big Bad Wolf: BGW Iron Eagle : SFA Great American Scream Machine: SFGAdv.

Vekoma Boomerang! A first?
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to GrapesLie's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
What if they made made a flying Boomerang?, lol. it would be cool if it was in the form of a GIB. People who hate inversions would not like that at all , they would be pretty much upside-down on the whole climb up the first lift. Which would answer one of GP's common questions: "Does that start off going upside down?" "Yes, it does. " -

ArundelHigh Coasters replied to MSLSM's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yes, they do. Technically, Wild One is almost 100 years old. Moving it from Paragon Park to Adventure World didn't make it younger. If you ride Wilde One then technically you rode Giant Coaster too, it's the same excact track, (with the exception of the helix, and turn-around.) The only thing that changed is the location, and in most cases the name. If you rode Apocalypse at SFA, then you rode Iron Wolf, if you rode Goliath at SFNE , then you rode Deja Vu, just at a different location. - Just because the park moved it doesn't change the coaster, and it's age. - When people tell me they have rode Goliath, but not Deja Vu, that doesn't make sense to me. If they say they only rode it as Goliath, that makes more sense -
Why don't you just film off-ride video's of the coasters? it's not a POV, but it's still a lot of fun, safe, and not against any parks' policy. I know I wouldn't want a camera flying 70 mph to hit my head. Did you know that a few months ago a boy got struck by a bird on the Kingda Ka and had to go to the emergency room? just imagine what a camera would have done.

It seems to me that Gotham Ops are the best. Also, is it true that the train at SFA is the same one from Astroworld? We were there on the 27th too. We are always there, it's our home park.Travel Channel was filiming. The lines got so bad at night. I remember there was about to be a fight in the line for Jokers Jinx becuase a bunch of ghetto kids cut in front of a mom. The security took like 15 mins. to get there, lol.

Vekoma Boomerang! A first?
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to GrapesLie's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode a Vekoma Invertigo ( the former Two-Face at SFA) before I rode my first Boomerang. My first Boomerang was at Trimpers Rides in Ocean City,MD. That Boomerang is actually different then the others. The modern Boomerang's are four feet taller than than Tidal Wave at Trimper's, because Tidal Wave was a standard Boomerang, Trimper's extended the track four feet higher to make it more like a modern Boomerang coaster. Although, the track came off Trimper's property, so the city of Ocean City decalred Trimper's to reduce the track. So Tidal Wave at Trimper's will always be one special Boomerang I really like the ride, I liked zooming around, and beleive or not, Trimper's Boomerang is actually really comforatble, and they really take good care of it. One Boomerang I had an unpleasent experience with is FlashBack at SFNE. Man... It jerked my neck around so bad in the loop.
