Mass ride removal trends
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to megametal's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
if Kentucky Kingdom ever does re-open, you better get your butt over there and ride it when you have your last chance!!. Aroow Loopers are next to go. I love the hell out of Vortex and Anaconda, but they will die ;(, everything that gets installed will be removed one day, unless it's a classic. Those B&M stand-up's like Vortex at CGA, and Carowinds will probably go too, even though Apocalypse was 'new" this year. Loch Ness Monster is also really old, i could see it going soon. -
What is the best floorless?

I like the Medusa's / Bizzaro personally. I think Hydra at Dorney Park is f*&('n awesome! I also like the one at fiesta texas. -
I don't see how that's a big announcement. They can add and name anything they want. (As long as they have the copyright claim, or whatever that lease mumbo jumbo is.) Six Flags America has Superman: Ride of Steel in Gotham City. D.C. Comics area and Gotham City are pretty much the same thing. Six Flags has most of their rides themed after the Warner Brothers film charecters. (i.e "The Jokers Jinx," "Batman: The Ride," "The Riddler's Revenge," ect.) It would be cool if they ahd an Inception themed coaster, and re-named the area to "W.B. area" or something. They left out Poison Ivy it would be awesome to have a coaster called, "Poison Ivy's Venom Rage" or something. They should have named Full Throttle that if it was in the D.C./W.B. theme d area, because Full Throttle's name is also a drink's name, just like Mind Eraser, lol.

I haven't updated this thread in a while. I e-mailed Vekoma in the summer to see if they ahd any information on Two-Face, and surprisingly, it's not scrapped, and going to a park in Italy. Here's what they sent me: Hi *******! You are correct, it has been dismantled and is on its way to a park in Italy. At this moment no additional information can be released as the park will make the announcement when they are ready for it. Thank you and best regards Charlotte Charlotte van Etten Account Manager

Worst Coaster Ever?
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to Mind Eraser's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Steel: Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens. Wood: Grizzly at California's Great America -
Six Flags located in the Baltimore/ Washington metro area is an amusement park that features 8 thrilling coasters including: Jokers Jinx , The Mind Eraser, Batwing, Superman: Ride of Steel, Roar, Wild One, and the brand new Apocalypse: The Last Stand. This is my home-park. I like it, and think it could make some improvements, what do you guys think about Six Flags America?

Favorite Coaster Sounds
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to TheAmazingCP's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Jokers Jinx at Six Flags America is so loud, and it sounds like a ghost, it makes the ride sound. -
I thought the ride never re-opened after that accident? I do know it was gone well before SFKK closed for good. It was eventually demolished, but there are plenty of videos of it running after the accident and the video owners claim it was filmed after the accident. Idk maybe, to me it was way more danger than a hydraulics line bursting

Two face was sold overseas almost immediately upon it's removal so if SFSTL wants an invertigo they'll have to purchase a new one.Two face was a fairly decent ride that only developed reliability issues by 2002/2003 as that was when it suffered the first incident that made national news when it stalled on the lift....had the park taken better care of it(or had the funding to do so) it might still be there but alas that's not the case. What I'm suprised with is the fact that stinger is having so many problems lately since DP claims to have solved most of the problems that plauged the ride while at CGA. Shapiro was the one who axed Two Face. The season Two Face was removed was actually the season Two face had just finished an extensive rehab during the off season and was actually in the best shape it had been since it opened. Shapiro axed the ride when it was in great shape. I think he intended on selling the park around that time. Also unfortunately, anytime two face broke down it would be exaggerated beyond belief by the news. The fact that it made national news really hurt its image. However, the unfair thing is, that Two Face Broke down like many rides do... however, SFA is just unfairly criticized. As you saw, CP had its windseeker cable issue... and the park is hardly given the same level of bashing...some rides are just plagued with issues... doesn't mean the maintenence men suck. Yes, park budget's do play a role! Knotts had the cable incident with Xcellerator where people were actually injured, Hell... Shockwave at KD has had people Die on it and its still not given a bad rap like Two Face... Same goes with Superman at SFNE. Lets not forget Demon at Great America getting stuck upside down... Yeah, I think the main reason the news surrounded Two-Face at SFA during the very last incident it had was because of the rider that used their cell-phone to call 9-1-1 when it was stuck. That pretty much got the news crew going at it. If it got rehabbed,I wish if Shapiro gave it one more chance to prove that it was a good ride. It's sad to see that such a unique coaster was lost because of something as simple as the over-exaggerating media, it wasn't even the malfunctions itself, it was with the media bullying Two-Face and SFA. Your right, I remember a girls feet were severed at former Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom on the Superman: Tower of Power from snapped cables, and that still ran until the closure of SFKK, but Two-Face is a "death trap" because it ripped a hydraulics line and caused "minor back and neck injuries". Thanks a lot media, thanks a lot Fox 5 news.

I feel like there is something wrong with the layout of these Invertigo's . Although, there's probably not because Triops at Bagatelle Parc in France never broke, not even when it was Tornado at Sommerland Syd.,and King Islands never really did either

My grammar seems fine, and understandable.Sorry if it was not. Your punctuation is not however. See what I am doing between each sentence. I am putting two spaces. Please do that. Your previous post was nothing but run-on sentences which was made worse by your lack of using the space bar properly. Sorry, I don't usually notice when I'm in a rush.

Many of you guys know of the Two Face: The Flip Side Coaster that was removed from Six Flags America in 2009.It was one of the four Vekoma Invertigo's in the world. It was a great ride but the current whereabouts of Two-Face are unknown for some reason even tough the ride was removed way back in 2009. The pieces were seen in Brazil apparently . They said it had disappeared, and the purchase was simply canceled and sent to Italy ( From CMBR). I honestly think it was either sold for scrap metal or is in Storage somewhere. What are your thoughts?, do you think there could be another possibility.
