I know the title sounds kind of confusing, but what I mean is what was your favorite season/ year with amusement parks? Mine are: 2001- My first amusement park visit that i remember. 2006- first roller coaster ( that wasn't a kiddie model.) 2009- became an enthusiast, and went to SFA & KD (home-parks) a lot 2012- So many new exciting coasters came this past season, and I went to so many amusement parks, and went to my home parks a lot.

^ This is a good example of funny screaming. I honestly don't care if people scream on rides, it makes the ride more fun sometimes. I scream sometimes- LOUDLY for fun, not because I'm scared. Anyways, people can't really can't control their emotions when their on a roller coaster, so things come out, whether they like it or not, screaming is just a natural instinct for some people. What IS annoying is when during Fright Fest or Halloween Haunt, the GP get scared of those zombies, and they start screaming, running, and trying to push through you. it's kind of funny though sometimes, especially when it came to the Chainsaw guys, and this one big thing I saw.

Age restrictions on rides?
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to andre8's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think parents should be with young kids on those rides, or at least drop them off at the station. It's not safe to have a child alone on a ride, because the child could have a health problem, or had a recent surgery, and doesn't know they can't ride roller coasters during that time. Parents should be with them to make sure it's safe for them to ride or not. -
The Tornado at SFA scared me really bad at one point. I remember traveling a little bit through the tubes before dropping into the funnel, and completely forgot about the funnel. I was backwards, so when we fell into the fun, it was overwhelming . The Bahama Blast at SFA also scared me the first time becuase we were in pitch dark, and you see nothing, all you hear is running water :a

Age restrictions on rides?
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to andre8's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree with you, some people look younger than the age they really are, you just can't tell. As long as the younger children are with an adult- which they usually are, then they should be fine to ride. -
Age restrictions on rides?

It's okay, it wasn't until I was 10 when I rode my first coaster . -
Probably Two-Face at SFA. All the stations at SFA has some form of decoration, but Two-Face had nothing but a blue roof, although the umbrella's were nice on a hot day when the line got long. The station looks even worse today: I took that photo recently at the ride's old exit. Another boring one is Possessed at Dorney.

they are worth riding 1 or 2 times, I don't care what anyone says, but everyone gets scared their first time on. I remember ridding the one at my home park SFA for the first time, and when I was being lifted, everyone in the food court, and mid-way was staring at me, and I got nervous. when it dropped it was so scary because I had nothing to hold onto, and I was just flying over Gotham City, and I remember having the fear of the cord breaking. It's also kind of weird when a bunch of people in the midway are looking up and pointing at you when your flying over . Overall, it's a fun , and scary experience the FIRST Few times, I don't find it scary as much anymore, but it's still fun, and if you feel shelling out the $15 is worth the try , then do it!!

I love this park so much. I used to think it wasn't changing. I know realize the struggles Cedar Fair had to go through to change this park. Cedar Fair really does want to make this a great park. People always say Cedar Fair only wants big coasters for Cedar Point, but that is not true. Cedar Fair cares about all their parks, otherwise they wouldn't own them.

Underrated Coasters?
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to Yero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I agree! Defiantly the best and most comfortable standup out there today. I was just thinking the same thing. Rode it many times in a row, because in the morning everybody rushed over to Goliath. Lucky me... Yeah, some people didn't even know SFOG has a stand-up coaster. I think Six Flags Over Georgia is an underrated park as a whole. I think it's amazing, and has many unique thrill rides. It should be known as one of the best. I honestly think SFOG is one of the top 5 SF parks out there, but everyone seems to ignores it...but I guess it's good in some ways, becuase there are less crowds there. -
Favorite Theme Park Game
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to wplover's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
At Six Flags, I loved playing that one balloon dart game. There was this other game I remember, from the carnival when I was younger. The objective was that you had to throw balls at fish bowls, and if it landed in them, then you got a free pet goldfish. I won, and mine died after a week . -
Okay, so I don't remember them all at the top of my head, but here's what i do remember: Two-Face: The Flip Side: SFA Rattler- SFFT Son of Beast- Kings Island Big Bad Wolf- BGW Great American Machine- Six Flags Great America I've been on many rides that have been relocated, but when it comes to coasters that are actually defunct, that's all I remember for now.

Most Complicated Restraints
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to tribar's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Don't forget Jokers Jinx, and Poltergiest at SFA and SFFT. The guests get mixed up about where the seatbelts are. -
Most Complicated Restraints
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to tribar's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Vekoma Flying Dutchman. You have a vest, and a lap bar. The new rule at SFA for Batwing is that the ride op's. will fasten your lap bars for you, and your not supposed to do it by yourself. -
Stupid Moves that Parks have made
ArundelHigh Coasters replied to tribar's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm gonna put the blame for that one about 10% on the park, 40% on the insurance companies, and 50% on the piece of half-sentient trash that though it would be amusing to throw rocks at people on the other coaster and cost someone their eye. It's definatly 100% the riders fault. The park can't control it when guests decide to bring objects on the ride, and throw them. What is so fun about hurting people?, I just can't beleive someone actually brought rocks on the ride, and THREW them!!, that's terrible. The park should not be blamed when someone irresponsible was trusted to go on a roller coaster by themselves. They can't check rider's pockets for rocks before the ride, and they couldn't control what happened either. If someone stab's someone at a grocery store, is it at the fault of the store owner?, no, it's not. Same thing applies to this situation, when someone throw's rocks in the middle of a ride, the park couldn't control it, and it's not their fault. To prevent anything like that from happening again, it occured to them they had to discontinue dueling the coasters because not everyone is mature enough to handle dueling coasters, which furthermore does not make it a stupid move, the stupid move was the move the rider made. I agree with the vast majority of what you're saying, but I'm not blaming the park for what happened. I put some blame on the park because I don't think stopping the rides from dueling was the way to handle the situation. It was the rider's fault; that was assault ending in serious injury. But it wasn't the coaster to blame, and they didn't stop any other dueling coasters from dueling when it could have happened just as easily on any one of them. The coaster was the scene, nothing more. Sick people that want to hurt someone else are going to do it no matter what; the only thing ruining the coaster accomplished was to take away one of its best features from its fans; almost certainly done to appease the ridiculous US insurance companies (which, to be fully fair, shifts some of the blame to the public as well, because the insurance agencies are partially so insane because of the sue-crazy US mindset...). ^ I guess your right about that. I swear, they are going to eventually need to take a test to see if you are eligible maturity-wise to ride roler coasters. They should call it the "Riding Liscense," lol. I get where your comming from, there could have been other choices made, but for the sake of guests safety, stoping the dueling untill an idea was found would have been a great idea. -
This one of those, "If you like it so much, then why don't you marry it?" moments, lol. Anyways, as weird as I find this, I've seen weirder fettishs'. There was this guy who had a fettish from sniffing woman's shoes, which is also akward. When comes to sexuality , I'm not the one to judge people based on their sexual oreintation, but this is really akward. It's not really a bad thing, and I'm happy he/she found what he/she was looking for. Also, does this mean that he/she will have to sleep at Knobels every night?
