  1. Nice pictures. I know the park gets a lot of negative comments but I would really like a chance to go there due to their coaster collection. They might not have a lot of AWESOME rides (well, maybe next year that will change) but there are plenty of coasters and that does it for me.
  2. ^^No I rode it a year ago and it was pretty decent, actually (the forces were strong)
  3. ^When I first heard it I thought: Am I listening right? Are they really giving safety instructions?
  4. ^That's where I heard 85 degrees. But I don't know, the drop looks pretty much vertical.
  5. I've only ridden steel force and while it wasn't particularly awesome, I had a great time as I found it quite enjoyable (more than magnum)
  6. Nice photos! I remember stinger also had something like that (I didn't try the wild mouse though) and I too thought it was rather bizarre but quite funny.
  7. ^Nice! Will it be completely vertical? Because I remember hearing somewhere the number 85 degrees.
  8. This is something I would like to see. Especially with floorless trains and a decently forceful layout.
  9. ^I think that picture had showed up here in some thread before. I wonder how likely this is to happen.
  10. ^Yeah, so I guess that's not the reason.
  11. ^I'd never seen that. Honestly I would like to see vekoma doing something like this. I know they get a lot of hate but recently, as far as I know, their rides have been fine, so it's a shame that (apart from the GIBs) they haven't really been building any "big" coasters like this.
  12. ^Agree. I would consider Skyrush's restraints a design flaw as while the rest of the ride turned out great, I get the feeling that not much thought was put into designing them (and also because the solution wouldn't be too complicated). As I've said, the only ride I got on stampida was great so I can't really speak about the trains.
  13. ^Wasn't it B&M's tallest coaster then? Probably that had an influence.
  14. I've never had that experience. But I've had the front row for myself on superman at Warner which is kind of odd as that left 3 empty seats on the most popular row when there were some people elsewhere (and no, they weren't in groups of 4)
  15. It's 0,78 Gs if the launch figures are correct. I never expected a very forceful launch as: LSMs do not produce the fastest accelerations (as opposed to other systems), the trains have 5 cars (which is usually the maximum LSM rides have) and still must be heavier than average and also I don't know it it really matters but it's B&M's first.
  16. Great bear is my least favourite B&M invert but that's totally not a bad thing as I would classify all the others I've ridden as "Awesome" or "very Good". I would say it is a pretty good ride. My favourite at the park after storm runner and skyrush (fahrenheit is really close, though). Te pre drop helix is fairly forceful, the loop and immelmann are what you'd expect from a pre-2000 B&M invert, the zero g is surprisingly fast and for some reason I love the turn over the river as you get a slight pop of air as you enter it and it's pretty forceful. The only parts I'm not a fan of are the straights before and after the corkscrew (I think I would tolerate the one before if after the inversion there was something else (another corkscrew, a helix,...)
  17. My parents mentioned we could be going to the UK next year and if so, I'll definitely try thorpe park and hopefully alton (nemesis is on the top of my "to do" list)
  18. I've never got stuck anywhere I thought that sooner or later I would but maybe I'll have to ride a few more coasters/rides. The only experience I've had which resembles being stuck was when a water ride at Parque de Atracciones de Madrid stopped at the top of the lift for no reason, but it was only for 2-3 min.
  19. I was really looking forward to the "ker-chunk" when I went to Dorney and I have to say it didn't disappoint: it was just as violent and unpleasant as I thought it would be
  20. Me too. I found out there is one two hours from where I live which is pretty long (5045 feet) and pretty fast (80 mph). I have to try it out soon!
  21. ^It surprises me a bit how there aren't more flying coasters in Europe. You would think that, given how rare they are here, the GP would really eat it up.
  22. It does indeed look like a great ride. I haven't had the chance to try a RMC yet (hopefully in 2016 I will) but medusa may be my favourite (based on POVs). And your description seems to suit what I thought.
  23. ^I've only ridden stampida once (and it was in the front, I have to admit) and it was perfectly fine. Honestly, it wasn't any rougher than the average woodie (out of those I've ridden). I assume it was either the seat or I caught it on a very good day. So, out of curiosity, in what way do the trains give a terrible ride? Roughness? Seats?
  24. ^I'm looking forward to the layout too. This looks great now! That lift structure is really nice!
  25. Last Saturday. When was the last time you moved house?
