  1. The intamin looks really nice. That first drop ...
  2. Coaster express at parque warner. It's basically the beginning of a long boring rough helix.
  3. The launch track doesn't look that long either (intamin's accelerator coasters need that extra space for the catch car to slow down)
  4. Interesting. I wonder if there's a chance they'll be floorless.
  5. Wow that's quite funky looking!
  6. Looks really nice. Given that they're already building a non inverted loop at Ferrari World I'd like to see this one being a "normal" one but I can't complain either.
  7. Looks like a fun idea. But I wonder (given that LSMs already use a significant amount of power) how much it would take to accelerate those boats with all the drag from the water. It'd obviously be cool to see someone building on, though.
  8. Where did you hear that? I've heard people saying it's only the spine, only the supports or both so (even though I feel it's both) I don't really know but I'd never heard anyone mentioning the rails. It doesn't seem too complex, I think. Maybe they will incorporate the rail for the chain and the ratchet thingy in the track.
  9. ^Oh, thanks. I assumed that was just the paint coming off as the track got used (never noticed new coasters had those too)
  10. Wow what's that?? Is it a non inverting loop?
  11. I also haven't really been on many quality woodies so my favourite right now is CĂș Chulainn's drop in the back (at Tayto Park)
  12. ^That's what I thought. I've always wondered if filling B&M tracks with sand doesn't make it a lot heavier than normal and if they have to take that into account when designing the ride.
  13. ^I remember them saying (when Helix opened) that 2016 would be big too but I wonder what attraction would make them remove these three.
  14. I'm sorry if I sound ignorant but which white friction strips?
  15. That's what I thought too. And maybe for the brakes/drive tires sections it would be easier, but I guess they'll be the ones who evaluate if it's worth it or not.
  16. That's a very nice set of rides they're getting. That plus the fact that they have the world's fastest coaster should make the park a must visit.
  17. ^Me too. I had hopes they would make it just another area with no separate admission but that'd be too good, I guess.
  18. And the way it delivers its strongest air near the end is awesome (and unexpected). I'd say this one (for its intensity) or shambhala's for its length and sustained air are my favourites.
  19. I have always found Magnum's airtime to be extremely painful and unpleasant. That being said, I actually don't find Skyrush's airtime painful at all. Interesting. I find both pleasant but for me skyrush's is a lot worse. Not because the restraints are worse (they aren't) but because the air is much stronger. I think skyrush with magnum's restraints would be unbearable. That being said, I do enjoy both rides (especially skyrush)
  20. Thanks. It gives a better idea of where it will be.
  21. What's so annoying about this is that these people will always find a way to complain/make these statements. Because I could totally imagine this very person (like many others) saying that old rides are dangerous. This is the same thing that happens on other occasions, like with cars vs airplanes. We all know airplanes are much safer and still while there are plenty of people who fear they might crash you don't see anyone fearing for their lives as they enter a car. Some stick the idea in their head that roller coasters are dangerous and there's nothing you can do/say to change that.
  22. This really depends on the programmer of the ride's control system. I guess it's possible that some motors are more efficient if they never fully stop while others are the other way round.
  23. ^Looks more interesting. And 3.9 Gs doesn't sound too bad.
  24. Yes, I did get that. What I meant was if this track will be able to do things others couldn't before (not that there's that much left to do but still), in other words, the result of aspects like increased structural strength.
