^ I'd like to hear that tale. I've never ridden Medusa (it was just starting its ground work when I was last there), but I have seen pictures. Not a color scheme. Green and purple have always kind of gone together in my opinion, though a darker green might have worked, too. But Kong...I did say the orange/brown was weird, but I liked that better than its current colors from the pictures I've seen. Eric

When I last rode Kong (1999), the track was orange and the supports were brown. Weird combination in my opinion. Glad to see it get a little lovin' from Six Flags. Maybe one day it'll receive one of X2 style makeovers with music, new 4D trains, etc. Eric

I noticed that oil is sitting at $56 a barrel---one-third of what it was earlier this year. Apparently, that price helped to trigger a recession in Japan, according to one report I read. Around here, gas is in the $2.30 or so range. It isn't going down as fast as it had been, but it's nice to see a "2" in the first digit of the price instead of a "4" or "5" like it was. I'm waiting for the "1" like several of you have noted. Eric

The last few times I've been to SFMM, I got the four free FlashPass tickets, but never used more than one of them. How? Because I was by myself, I used the Single Rider line. Never have I been refused. Even at Goliath, I just asked an attendant at the exit if I could jump into a seat if one was open and would wait (which seat didn't matter). My waits were a train or two at the most. But next year, during the summer, I'll upgrade if I have people with me. I've never used Q-Bot, but it sounds like the way to go if you have a group. Eric

Speaking of kids, today I took mine over to the car dealership to get her car serviced. While we were waiting, we got a couple of sodas in the Parts Department. The guy gave us our receipt, and it was an 8-1/2 x 11 piece of 24 lb. paper with company heading printed on it along with the two items purchased! Eric

Is it just me, or does the site of Terminator look like a big field with mysterious crop circles? I almost went out to SFMM yesterday, but the winds were up and I didn't feel like going out there in the wind---of course, I don't know if it was windy at SFMM, but didn't want to chance it. Sometime in the next couple of weeks, though, I want to get out there. Maybe even ride Deja Vu! Eric
