Under $2 a gallon gas has reached Camarillo! I saw $1.91 yesterday at one of our 76 stations. Eric

^ Unsure about the "something about the next poster" part of the game. < Unsure about next year's employment. V Unsure about next year's skunk population!

We waited in line yesterday for X2 and it broke down just before we got to the station. Fortunately, I've ridden it a few times, but two people in our group hadn't ridden it at all---even when it was just X. Eric

Actually, I do have a pair. But I never wear them because it never gets cold enough. Have you ever been fired from a job?

I gived it some thought, and I decided to go to Daphne's for dinner. Eric

Tonight while I was cooking a sirloin burger pattie on my George Foreman grill, I was reading the package it came in, which said that it was a "Product of the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and Mexico." See? I do eat ethnic cuisine! Eric

Use one, no. But we still have the one we got in 1984 with the part that pops up to insert the VHS tape! Is there some chocolate in your future?
-
Very much so. I wish I had the time and money to do more and get a really nice camera. Do you still use floppy disks---even occasionally?

Nice Photo TR of one of the nicest parks I've been to. Your "didn't get to ride SheiKra" was like the one time I was there and didn't get to ride Kumba, even though it was open for some of my visit. Someday, I'll get back there. Eric

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride

^ Still called Cyclone Bay as of my last visit (last month). For whatever reason, I think that'll change. But we will never see the Spillikin name again. That was under the pre-Six Flags ownership. Their idea of a craft village was a good one, but unfortunately, the crafts just slowly died out over time. Eric -
Does TPR seem to be getting a little up tight?

I'm a tech writer, so guess who has to be on top of spelling and grammar? Keeping it clean is the best way to go. Eric, Westcoaster Spelling and Grammar Nazi -

OH NOES!!1! TEH ONLEE OPPERAYTING DAYJA VOO IN TEH HOEL WRLD ISNT OPPERAYTING!!1! Eh, whatever. It would be nice if it were rethemed/repainted to fit in with the Terminator theme in some way, as would the entire area. Somehow the "Cyclone Bay" theme just won't fit anymore. Glad to see it coming along. I have a feeling that this will be worth the wait. Eric -
Best of luck to you, Colin. I think this is a great project and deserves as much attention as possible. Make sure a few newspapers---and definitely your hometown paper---pick up on this. Perhaps a local reporter can cover it. At this time, I don't know what I can do as far as financial support (funds are pretty low around here and we're barely getting by). But do know that you do have my support at least as a friend and fellow TPR member. Eric

Maybe Six Flags is onto something. Think of all the ACEers that will line up for this. "Dude! I just got this coooool coaster cut..." Eric

"...Toy Story f**king mania..." (Guy T. Koepp) When did Disney change that ride's name? We're all looking forward to this ride...shouldn't we call it Terminator Salivation? Eric -
A page or so back, I mentioned that gas around here is about $2.30. Just tonight, I filled up for $2.03! I'll bet it's under $2 down in Orange County, where gas tends to run cheaper than around here. Eric

Earlier, I headed out to Carl's Jr. for dinner and ended up at Jack in the Box. Then I headed over to get gas at Mobil and my card was rejected, forcing me to go to 76 instead. Gas at Mobil was $2.199; gas at 76 was $2.039, so maybe that was a good thing. [/evening adventure] Eric

"Cool but not sure how this would work with guests with pacemakers." (about the magnetic climbing wall) I guess you just have to have the heart for it! The Flogo is a great idea. I don't know how expensive it is to have them set you up, but it's a good way to introduce your business or product. Imagine if they'd done that with the "No on 8" campaign here in California! Nice TR. Hopefully I will attend an IAAPA convention sometime. Having it in Las Vegas at least makes it just a few hours away. Eric

^ If you could read tomorrow's paper today, that would be even more interesting. Eric

SeaWorld Orlando (SWO) Discussion Thread
ebl replied to disneygurlz2s's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
"I think its really cool that theyre gonna have the ride go through an aquarium, I wonder what the fish are going to think about that" (BkkMan13) Maybe they'll think it's some sort of "flying fish!" I have not been to SeaWorld Orlando, but my guess is that the steep lift is to minimize the amount of space it takes to climb to the top. With Tatsu, it's mainly because of the location of the ride, but it also makes for a very scenic climb. So far, I've been to Orlando twice without visiting this park, but maybe the third time's a charm. Eric -
^ Don't forget the old guy...ME!!! Dan and I talk about this on a regular basis, by the way, being that we share the same problem. I was diagnosed as Type 2 back in 2002, but I've moved on to become insulin dependent a couple of years ago. So far, so good. I get an occasional high reading, but for the most part, I stay within an acceptable range. As of my last bloodwork (August 2008), my a1c is 7.2---a bit higher than the desired 7, but not as bad as two years ago when it was 12 or 13. My weight is holding at about 170 (I'm 5'-8", so that's just about right for my build). I really don't miss the donuts, fries, and regular Coke. And I know I'll be better off for it in the end. Good topic, and I hope everyone, diabetic or not, takes the time to read this because I have a feeling that this is an epidemic whose time hasn't come yet---and it's pretty bad now. Eric

^^ The new Timberliner trains are made by the Gravity Group, not GCII. Also, it's already been announced that a pair of GCII's own Millennium Flyers will run on Terminator. Eric -
Two jars of almonds and two jars of Chocolates of the World at Costco...nearly $50 worth. But, oh so worth it... Eric
