At one time, they were pretty big and bulky (look at Richard Gere's phone if you ever watch the movie Pretty Woman. That movie is from 1990). They removed the cellulite that made them so big, but the "cellu" part stuck. Why isn't there plastic that's higher than #7 (inside the recycle triangle symbol)? -
I didn't get any material stuff, but I did get to spend some time with Diana awhile ago. That's kind of rare nowadays because she's so busy and not around much anymore. But I don't mind not getting anything. There really isn't much that I want or need anyway. Eric

Because in her neck of the woods, blondes don't have to obey stop signs. Why did they put Christmas on the calendar at the same time when the malls are at their busiest? -

No, it was a Greyhound. But up north in a blinding snowstorm, who could tell the difference? Is there anything about El Pollo Loco's chickens that we should know about, as in, how loco are they and how did they get that way? -
^ No, someone fell asleep on their keyboard and look what came up! Eric

^ With all due respect, as a 20-year ACE member myself, I, too am ashamed of the antics of a few members of the club. As with any organization, it only takes a few "bad apples" to ruin it for everyone. Some facts: ACEers do indeed chow down at ACE events. I've been there. I know. In recent times, there have been incidents at meals/events where there was a noteworthy speaker who was all but ignored because those in attendance just couldn't put their forks down/shut up/pay attention long enough to listen to what was being said. So, you may wonder, why do I stay a member? The same reason I belong to a few other organizations. Among the bad, I can usually find the good. And there are some good people in ACE. And I enjoy riding coasters. I also do some SFMM-bashing despite the fact that I really like the place and wouldn't have known what to do had it closed a couple of years ago. It's sort of like poking fun at yourself. Eric

It's what skunks drink to *AHEM* recharge... How did they come up with the name "Verizon?" -
^ On the winter wonderland note...it has been know to snow in Valencia, thus covering SFMM. Rides wouldn't likely be operating in such conditions, but people could still come in to shop, eat, etc. if they had a craft fair or something along those lines. One of the hills could be covered with snow to provide sledding if they chose to do that. Eric

^^ Riddler would look better if it had a coaster intertwined with it. As Robb inferred, there is more room in that area than you think. Eric -

Because it has an "x" right in the middle of its name. Since I have 200 casino job credits, what should I do to celebrate? -
Our outlet mall needs some sort of pedestrian control. It's almost impossible to get in or out because there's a constant stream of people crossing the entries/exits at all times---especially at this time of year. I say put in some signals or get a crossing guard...something has to be better than what we have. Eric

Actually, if too much squirts out, ketchup is a mess. How do cup manufacturers know whether to make cups out of #5, 6, or 7 plastic? (That's the number in the recyclable triangle thingie.) -
Gas is starting to creep up again around here. I paid $1.85 today, up 16 cents from last time. But I won't complain as long as there isn't a 4 in the first digit of the price. Eric

No. Alpine, Panasonic, Bose, etc. are stereo types. Why couldn't our blood have been blue or green instead of red? -

Well, duh? If she can see the moon from her house, she ought to be able to see Russia. It's a lot closer. How does Mars get the chocolate to stay inside the candy shell of M&Ms? -

Honestly, I'm hoping that The Space That Once Belonged to Flashback will provide room for a good Hurricane Harbor expansion. That park is about due for one. About SFMM's 2010 coaster, remember that Freefall left behind a nice chunk of open space. I suspect that's where it will go. Eric -

Natalie, your great TR made me realize how much I miss Epcot. It's already been two years since I was there. "Thank you! I use a Canon Rebel XT." I'm looking into getting a Rebel XTi. All I have to do is save a few bucks. Eric -

Tonight, our club had its annual Christmas party at Marie Callender's in their upstairs banquet room. When I got there, I asked where the upstairs room was, and someone pointed it out. It was upstairs---up two stairs, to be exact. I thought they'd at least have an elevator. Eric

Because wherever it is, it's native to that area. Why is rolling of the eyes considered a negative reaction to something? -
This Photo TR was quite amusing. One of these days, provided I have the time, I need to do something like this. There are several ideas floating around in my head. That could be dangerous... Eric

We'll continue to do so until Congress establishes a system of National Parkways, thus forbidding vehicles to drive on them. And we have to park in driveways because before you get out of your car, you put the gearshif in Park, don't you? Why can't most restaurants offer both Pepsi and Coke products at the same time?
