  1. My last ride of 2008 was Revolution last weekend. My first ride of 2009 was also Revolution, today, same train (different seat, though). Eric
  2. ^ If the meat came from sacred cows, it'd be holy crap! Eric
  3. I'd like to ride one of those Alpine slides. At some point, I'll do some research and find the nearest one to Southern California. Thanks for sharing the Utah one. Eric
  4. ^ Someone said your name. Now tell us all about your a1c!!! Eric
  5. "Its just the new name for the Big and Tasty." (bigstevet07) Perhaps out your way, but here in CA we have three different Third Pound Angus Burgers AND the Big and Tasty---two different things altogether. No doubt at least some of this stuff has been photoshopped or staged, obviously. Eric
  6. "I refuse to believe SFMM will never try Intamin again." (Manic Monte) Agreed. I think at some point, SFMM will get over whatever caused the rift in the first place. Intamin can do some things that could really put SFMM on the map, and I don't believe they'll pass on the opportunity. Perhaps not for a few years, but it'll come. And for all we know, the 2010 coaster is an Intamin. No one's said anything yet to my knowledge. Eric
  7. ^ Needs a watch. < Has a cool atomic time watch. V Has a cool atomic glow!
  8. I won't be trying it. No butts about that... Eric
  9. ^ and ^^ I was teasing. I'm sure they're counting down the last seconds of 2008 and the "2008" will change to "2009" at the appropriate time. Though I won't be there this time, I'll join in and say that this looks to be a great event, and hopefully will become an annual tradtion. Just another way that SFMM is improving from where it was just a few short years ago. Quite honestly, I'll bet there are more surprises in store for us as time goes on. Eric
  10. Why is SFMM counting down to 2008? Seriously, that's actually pretty cool. It'd be fun to go, but I have a roulette table to work tomorrow night. Since I have my 2009 pass already, I'll get out there soon enough. Eric
  11. I don't know where I've been, but that was the first time I read The Legend of the Title Fairy. Very interesting. Eric
  12. Watch this video. It beez teh funneh!!1! Eric
  13. Diana and I went aaaalllll the way out to SFMM today to renew our season passes, and all we rode was the Revolution. Ohhh wellll... Eric
  14. ^ Please share...I'd be interested in your knowledge. Eric
  15. ^ Thanks! I just watched it from right here in the thread, so I didn't see that. Eric
  16. ^ Was that your first ride in a police car? Sorry, couldn't resist... Eric
  17. ^ Generally, they make good pets. Chimichanga is our first one, and he's been a blast. With proper care, they can actually live into their 20s. They're shy around people they don't know and they'll move away from you if they don't want to be disturbed, but sometimes they'll all but jump into your hands so you can hold them. Chimi likes to sit on my shoulder as I walk around the house, but he's been known to jump off and run under a table or something; then I have to coax him out with a Craisin or his bath house! And do they love their baths! For more about chinchillas, try this site: ChinChat. Eric
  18. ^^ That was quite an impressive train. The thing is, though, trucks still have to take rides to the actual carnival site unless all of their carnivals are right next to the railroad tracks! Just curious, do you know where that video was shot? Eric
  19. ^ I thought about going yesterday...glad I didn't! But I do need to get out there to renew my pass at some point. Tomorrow, perhaps. Eric
  20. This is less than 100 miles from where I live, and, yes, it was tragic. Interestingly, this guy fled and was found dead not far from where my in-laws live (Sylmar). Eric
  21. ^ Cute name, but chinchillas are cuter. Eric
  22. About freakin' time I took a look at this. I only watched the Kentucky Rumbler video and had no problems whatsover loading and watching it. Having Verizon FiOS helps, as it's pretty fast. On a side note, I couldn't help but to wonder how much SFMM's Terminator Salavation: The Ride will be like the Rumbler. Not exactly the same layout, of course, but sustained speed, turns, and some airtime. Now that I've seen one video, I'll stop back and watch others as time permits. Eric
  23. Nerds. Because it rhymes. Where did the idea of exchanging gifts on Christmas come from?
  24. Hopefully, one of the "renovations" will be removing the OTSRs like most---if not all---other similar rides (Mr. Freeze, etc.). My only ride on Speed was in 2001. I'm glad they're going to keep it. Eric
  25. "...my account has been suspended. I wonder how long it'll be suspended?" (astroworldfan1) It'll stay suspended till it dries up and crumbles. Then you'll have to report it as a Code 5 and go to the dealer. Eric
