  1. Now there will be two parks in the company in Florida with elevator lifts. The other park of course Busch Gardens with Cobras Curse.
  2. Michigan's Adventure in 5 years, still nothing new except some new garbage cans or benches. Or possibly a small addition to the water park. The ride side will pretty much stay the same. LOL
  3. This thread is interchangeable with the Michigan's Adventure thread.
  4. There are B & M coasters much older still going strong. Unlike some steel coasters B &M coasters have a long shelf life. Aside from Hulk I see most these rides going on for many years to come. If the existing Arrow coasters can continue this long then Beemers can go as long if not longer. They're just better built rides.
  5. I noticed no discussion on the recent Chinese purchase of Blackstone's stake in the company. What are your thoughts on this? Can they turn this thing around where Blackstone and Manby have failed? I hope this means a brighter future for Sea World Parks.
  6. Sadly I don't see any mind blowing additions to MIA for a long time. They just don't seem to be a priority for a mega ride going in.
  7. Definitely Boardwalk and Baseball/Circus World. I spent many a day at this park and miss the hell out of it. It had such great potential but bad management did it in. I know it's proximity to Disney played a part but I do recall it was always busy on my visits. Shame Busch didn't see a potential for this park to flourish. Another park I miss is Six Gun Territory in Ocala, Florida. I remember going there as a kid and had a blast. Old western town attractions are fun and this one was unique. I believe it was built by the same people who created Ghost Town In The Sky.
  8. 1.Shivering Timbers(MIA) 2.Wolverine Wildcat(MIA) 3.Gwazi(BGT) 4. Florida Hurricane now Arkansas Twister(Boardwalk and Baseball) 5.Triple Hurricane(Cypress Gardens) 6.White Lightning(Fun Spot USA) 7.Wilde Beast(Canada's Wonderland) 8.Mighty Canadian Mindbuster(Canada's Wonderland) 9.Blue Streak(CP) 10.Mean Streak (CP) 11.Gemini(CP)
  9. 1.Raptor(Cedar Point) 2.Mantis(Cedar Point) 3.Kumba(BGT) 4.Montu(BGT) 5.Sheikra(BGT) 6.Kraken(SWO) 7.Manta(SWO) 8.Mako(SWO) 9.Hulk(Universal Orlando) 10.Dueling Dragons(Universal Orlando) 11.Leviathan(Canada's Wonderland)
  10. Took my son today for one of our regular visits. Beautiful weather and not too hot not too cold. Rides were short waits today sometimes no wait at all. What can I say about Mako? This ride really delivers the airtime. I don't think there was a moment throughout the ride where my butt wasn't off the seat. They had a food festival happening and Lynrd Skynrd was perfoming today as part of the entertainment for the festival. All in all a very good day to be at the park. So sad about Tillikum's passing, he was a very impressive animal in all regards. It was also refreshing to not see the dumbasses holding anti Sea World signs by the entrance. Sometimes I want to lob bricks at these morons. With Spring Break around the corner I would visit now while the crowds are light because I remember it being crazy busy during that time.
  11. When I go to my local parks with my son I often wonder what those behind the scenes tours would be like with the coasters and their operations. I can appreciate what that may feel like since I was once a member of the media and got to see some great things the general public didn't. It's a shame these complainers couldn't appreciate the experience and the extra effort put in by Robb and Elissa. I guess with some the entitlement mentality takes over and the brain goes into a slumber state.
  12. Sad to hear that Mr Morey died just a few days ago. His piers look like a blast, hope to someday visit them.
  13. Shame that some people are so full of themselves and not caring about the efforts of Robb and Elissa and the hard work put into these trips. I'm one of those that would love to be a part of those adventures but sadly my life situation prevents me from doing so. I remember some of those nitwits from the Rec-Rollercoaster forums and the swill that was spewed about TPR. I mean isn't the point of all of this is to share an interest and have fun together doing so? All those crybabies out there expecting everything to be handed to them on silver platters and to their desire alone. It kind of reflects a lot of what's going on in this country right now. Many morons rioting over whose candidate won the presidency. People wanting their safe spaces, free handouts without working for them, they want their rights recognized but only for them and not all. Robb I've never personally met you but based on what I have learned about you and your wife and the hard work you both put into this community here, I have to say you sound like the kind of people I would love to hang with someday if possible. I live just a little ways north of Orlando so who knows. I won one of those bags of crap during the video contests a while back. That alone was a very nice gesture on your part and I can imagine what the out of pocket costs must be just on shipping alone. Thanks again for that by the way! With that said, keep up the great work you do here, I enjoy chiming in from time to time and reading up on current Coaster happenings.
  14. Ha ha yea don't hold your breath for Michigan's Adventure to receive anything big. Maybe some new trash cans.
  15. You can add Funspot in Florida with their anouncement of a new woodie for their Kissimmee park. Looks to be a good one from the Gravity Group.
  16. Hmm, I would probably say Kumba at Busch Gardens. I have been a pass holder for over 15 years and have attended this park the most. Sea World Orlando is also a park I attend a lot and Kraken has seen me quite a lot too.
  17. I would have to say Blue Streak at Cedar Point being the oldest I can claim to have ridden. Everything else was built in the 1970's to present.
  18. My take is wait and see what happens. Rumors are a dime a dozen and until the powers to be make an announcement it's just another Dipping Dots worker rumor run amok. A little prayer now and then wouldn't hurt though.
  19. Looks like another home run for Funspot. My son and I love their parks and any additions are only a good thing I say. I think I'm ready to get an annual pass this coming year.
  20. I'm basically close to everything in Orlando and Tampa. Disney, Universal, Sea World, Busch Gardens etc..... About an hour's drive or a little over.
  21. I'd like to see some old Michigan Adventure pamphlets of its Deer Park Funland days. Some Boblo Island pictures would be cool too.
  22. Wow how far TPR has come since those humble early days. Just think of what this site may become in the next 20 or so years.
  23. Ever wonder what a RMC modified Shivering Timbers would be like? I mean another few years and this coaster may be ready for the upgrade.
  24. Rodney King said it best, "Can't we all just get along?" You're right though it's entertaining to read all the stupidity out there. You can't buy this kind of entertainment. Long live TPR!!!
  25. Is the VR really that good on a roller coaster? I never did this so I'm a little curious as to the overall experience.
