  1. Two events come to mind here: The first, at BGW in 1992, during ACEDay- A friend of mine and I were the only two people on Nessie for almost an hour- while everyone else invaded the 'new' Drachen Fire (I'd already ridden it earlier that year during it's opening day; and spent more valued time on Nessie). We were the counterweights to keep Nessie going- and it was great- There was even hangtime in the second inversion! The second, many years later, was at KD on Volcano during the early morning walkback era. Being handicapped, I rarely got to ride Volcano in the front seat, and arriving at the ride early enough to be able to go into the handicapped access pathway, I found that the platform was -empty. The operators gave me a one-off chance to ride in the front seat- something that to this day was an amazing experience. No screams, no waits, and some intense me-only ride time. (I give a big round of applause to the operators on Volcano that day- as for me it was one of the greatest rides I've ever had on any coaster anywhere- and letting a handicrapped person such as myself do it- that was even better!)
  2. Here's my entry into the TotW contest- "Moeibus TwisterRacer" This six train gem works great in any park where you need a thrill without the bills. To activate it's racing capabilites, build the coaster in the park of your choice. Start the ride 'testing' and wait for train 4 to enter the platform, then shut off the coaster- but let the trains return to the platform. DO NOT REMOVE THE TRAINS FROM THE TRACK! YOU WILL LOSE THE RACING CAPABILITIES!. Resume testing with SYNCHRONISE PLATFORMS activated in the mechanical menu- After Train 1 returns to the right side, you should be ready to open the ride up to willing guests- and give them a new type of thrill. R.D. Moeibus TwisterRacer in Game Exchange Read the description posted with this ride- there are instructions on how to get the six-train racing capabilites to work for you. (Pg 3 of the Track of the week thread) SCR44.BMP Python coils SCR43.BMP The turnaround element. SCR40.BMP Most of the layout of the ride itself.
  3. K- My apologies! I'll correct the points in your accounts- Thanks for your understanding over this- R.D.
  4. That might be one of the single best re-uses of a Boomerang on the planet. A great way to give a standard ride a decent personality.
  5. OK- thanks for that- we're trying to see the links to the rides themselves!
  6. Woohoo!
  7. Not quite... You get 25 pts. for the link to the exchange.... But you need to make it ONE OF YOUR TRACKS, PARKS, or RIDES! I'll give you half credit though- put a link up with one of your parks to download, and you'll get the rest of the credit! R.D.
  8. YES! (And your 50 points have been added!) R.D. Games Forum Moderating Team
  9. OK- it's up and ready: Matt, could we place it in 'Announcements' for the time being? Also: I think a FB plug for it would be a great tie-in too; who do I contact for that?
  10. Hello TPR Games Forum! Today we're starting a new points bonus for those who use Facebook. Starting NOW, post a pic of your TPR Games Exchange file linked via facebook and get... 50 POINTS in the exchange! You heard it right- 50 Points JUST for post a TPR Game Exchange track to your Facebook page, and then uploading a pic to the forum. It should look something like this: Robb's already GOT his 50 point bonus- Why haven't YOU? Once you've posted your pic up here, 50 points will be added to your account! GO FOR IT! 50 points is waiting JUST FOR YOU!
  11. Thread is now closed- but hopefully we'll see his works in the future!
  12. Very good- With that said, the winners would be 1) Popular vote: SoCalCoasters 2.) Mods choice (Second place): nin I think that should cool down the populous- and let us move onto the next challenge.
  13. I can tell you (Via their motions, etc.) two people who are heavily involved with it- 1.) Coupon (Who also has the Screen name 'Blah!') 2.) ThelegendaryMatthew - He's been a persistant problem with quite a few users of the forums for a very long time; I've had my issues with his ego getting out of check. I have my suspicions on others- but those I'm not quite sure of as yet.
  14. K- I think I'll post the "Post us to Facebook" as you set up and see how she flies- Mind if I use your 'display' example?
  15. So we now will give out two TPR prizes? 1 for the most votes, one as an 'Mod's choice?'
  16. I like it- When can we run it? I.E. Should I post this right away?
  17. For us, unfortunatly, we're fighting a battle on a two-sided front- at least for now. I know that a few 'splinter' members of TPR's games forum/exchange have been promoting their own site through us- and I have a suspicion that they might be doing more harm than good- Will their site survive? I really don't think so- as the ego factor of teenagers can never be underestimated. I've been keeping a mental list of this- not out of paranoia, but rather, people that I fhink might be causing more harm than good for the exchange- This is our baby- and I'm being a bit of a protective parent over it. But the TOTW contest is a good start- even I've uploaded a track for this weeks contest (See the preview thread; yes, it's a simple Moeibus Wooden Twister Racer, but hey, when in the mood, build a GCI)
  18. Actually: Idea just came across me... How about we do a 'test' run tommorow or thursday: Post on FB "Upload a coaster to the exchange in the next XXX hours, and get 50 points bonus to your account. Make sure when you upload your file to the Exchange, you put "I saw this on Facebook" in order to get the bonus points." Or combine it with Twitter- same message, replace it with "Twitter" Easy to do, can be tracked quickly- and adjusted almost as fast-
  19. Voting is now closed- and the MODS are next up to vote- A winner will be posted tommorow night- so stay tuned!
  20. I kind of like the idea of having a promotion like that- Post your track and a picture of it, plus the link- get 50 pts. I'm not too familiar with Twitter (Yes, I know, I'm the LAST person on earth not to have it) so I'm not quite sure how that works- But the facebook idea would work nicely, I think. How would we track how many people actually put it up, though? Is there a way of tracking that via TPR's Facebook page? I've seen the success of other contests TPR has done via Facebook- and those work quite well- so I'm trying to visualize the idea of crossing the exchange over-
  21. ^ I actually like that... However, if that doesn't fly: I think the MODS should get a 10 point vote- in which we each pick one park, award it 10 votes, and go from there- If everyone likes that- let's do that; I can setup the winning 'thread' tommorow morning prior to work. Either way, I think those are good solutions.
  22. Hi there- A friendly MOD warning of sorts- If pictures aren't posted soon, I'll be forced to close this thread- Not that we don't want to SEE your park- but you need to make sure you are following TPR guidelines. If you want to upload a picture, it's simple: Down below, (Yes, look down at the button marked 'Post Photos or File')- go to there. Then, where you see 'upload image' find your photo on your computer (Wherever you put it- you're on your own for finding it!)- then put a small caption with it in the empty box. Then click 'add the file' and VOILA! You have uploaded a pic! Thanks in advance, and I hope to see your work soon- R.D. Games Forum Moderating Team.
  23. Hmmm... another pic fell out... SCR42.BMP Twisting Drop... Airtime Pop... It WON'T STOP>
  24. Something fell out of my "top Secret" files today... Care to take a ride??? SCR44.BMP Python Coils... side by side... Thrilling ride...
  25. WTF! I have -dreamed- about an element like that since I'v ebeen playing RCT II- as it looks like some sort of twisted half-batwing/cobraroll element... But if I'm looking at it correctly- do you qualify for being upside down once, or is it twice/three times as it appears?
