  1. I was going to mention that. It sort of cuts off No Way Out completely.
  2. Minetrain at Ocean Park has a breathtaking view.
  3. The entrance of Tower of Terror at Dreamworld is in an awful spot. The actual ride is obviously easy to find as it can be seen from miles away, but the entrance is in a tiny section of the park which you can only get to by either walking through the Dreamwork's kids area or Wiggles World. Hmm. The Vortex at Thorpe Park is almost completely hidden from view. Most people don't even know its there until they see it from the restaurant. However this is somewhat a good thing as due to it's hidden location it gets virtually no queues, at least in my experience.
  4. Looks great! I especially love the look of the GCI looper. EDIT: GCI looper? WTF? I mustn't have got much sleep that night.
  5. Favourite steel: Nemesis, Alton Towers Nemesis got a full 10/10 from me and knocked Superman Escape from my top spot. Riding in the front was fantastic, but I felt as if Nemesis didn't quite live up to its reputation for me. However, a ride in the back seat cast any doubt from my mind - Nemesis kicks serious ass. My Mum thought it was great, but prefers the Swarm at Thorpe Park for some reason. She's a bit odd. Favourite wood: Grand National, Pleasure Beach Blackpool Even in the wind and rain, I loved Grand National. It was quite violent and I seem to remember yelling "My organs are bleeding" at some point in the ride, but the airtime was incredible. My Mum hated it though, she says she still has bruises. I tell her she's just old.
  6. Danny Bhoy and Michael Mcintyre.
  7. 9gag. Loljk, 4chan. Eurofighter or El Loco?
  8. Aw, he was funny. It was hilarious how many people actually thought he was serious.
  9. Riding Megafobia in the back seat I could swear I almost got Shaken Baby Syndrome. Not sure if the back seat is always that rough or if the ride was just running badly that day, but Jesus it hurt.
  10. Today at Pleasure Beach Blackpool. Not at all the park or it's staff's fault, simply because of the horrendous weather (and the horrendous Blackpool public). We only had one day at Pleasure Beach, and it just so happened to be an extremely cold, rainy and windy one. This contributed to many rides being closed (PMBO, Wild Mouse and later the Avalanche after a test train almost didn't make it through the circuit), and the ones that were left open were less than enjoyable in the harsh conditions. I felt like I was going to freeze to death and/or be blown off the structure on Revolution's station. This wasn't helped by the fact that a girl and her pig faced brother in the bay next to be decided to change to my row, making me miss my ride and try to stand another 5 minutes in the rain and wind. In the end I only got a total of 4 rides in, once on Big Dipper, once on Nickelodeon Streak, once on Grand National and once on Revolution before me and my mum were soaked to the bone and had had enough. It's a shame, because the park really did look very cool and had a great classic feel to it. Hopefully we'll be able to visit in a couple of weeks on our way down from Glasgow to London if the weather's better.
  11. On Coasterforce's Nemesis POV: Really? I mean, really?
  12. I've only been on Saw the Ride and Speed No Limits and out of the two I preferred Saw. I know many call Speed the greatest Eurofighter on Earth, and I do love its first drop and insanely awesome airtime hill, but the incredibly rough transition from the over bank turn into the vertical loop is unforgivable for me. Saw's theming and dark ride section give it the upper hand IMO, and in my experience with the two rides, Saw was overall the smoother of the two. Sure, it doesn't have Speed's OMFG AMAZING airtime hill, but it still has a very decent airtime hill of its own.
  13. I love the ending to Colossus at Thorpe Park. Four inline twists and another sneaky inline twist. The rest of the ride is rough as hell, but the inline twists make it worth riding.
  14. These are the Intamin trains on Iron Wolf, correct?
  15. Positive: Apparently 5.5G on Detonator at Thorpe Park.
  16. Saw the Ride scared the crap out of me in the indoor section and on the vertical lift. First time in ages I've been seriously nervous about a ride.
  17. Great TR, I was just at Thorpe Park today (and yesterday). I agree about Swarm, it's a lot better than most people give it credit for. As for Saw, I got two rides on it today and while my first was quite smooth, I experienced some real head banging the second time which I still have a headache from. One ride that was really running rough was Colossus, that thing knows how to cause a migraine.
  18. Hair Raiser at Ocean Park yesterday. My first B&M, great coaster though surprisingly a little rough.
  19. Awesome, thanks for the tips.
  20. I just found out we own the X Men series the other day, and I started watching the first three movies pretty much back to back. I really really liked them, awesome series!
  21. I really liked Epic Movie... I'm probably in the vast minority here.
  22. Holy crap that was fast construction! Suddenly the opening date of the 22nd doesn't seem very unrealistic!
  23. I love Revolution at Blackpool's support structure, especially with its new paintjob. Very industrial.
