  1. My mum says "the" in front of every ride name. I explained to her not to put the "T" word in front of ride names, but she just ended up getting stroppy and telling me she can say what she likes. I was just getting tired of hearing "The Nemesis" "The Stealth" "The Colossus"
  2. Unfortunately that would never happen as the stand up gimmick makes the ride more interesting to the GP.
  3. Bootleg has some amazing theming, and the area around it is stunning, however I think the ride itself looks a bit "clumsy". But it's pretty hard to make a realistic Intamin wing rider in RCT3 due to the large trains that aren't made for tight transitions, but you've probably done the best that is possible to do with that CTR so well done
  4. Well they did stop being built in 1999. Up to that point, every inverted coaster they'd built pretty much had a 100% success rate in terms of intensity. If B&M built another, it could easily be a forceless ride.
  5. You should ride Revolution at Blackpool now, Silky smooth when I rode a month and a bit ago. It's refurb really has been worth it. I noticed that too when I was there last month. Maybe it's thanks to the new coat of paint, but Revolution was insanely smooth with zero roughness or headbanging. I know it doesn't make any lateral movements so it shouldn't be rough anyway, but some Arrow loopers manage to be rough through straight track and vertical loops.
  6. Nemesis. It's a fun, intense ride in the front seat. But in the back seat, OMFG it's totally insane. The corkscrew into helix into zero G roll combo is the most intense section of coaster track I've ever ridden.
  7. Haven't ridden either, but since I prefer steel coasters to woodies I'll go with Diamondback. Also I hear that Beast is fairly rough these days, and I have a pathetically low tolerance for roughness. Coaster Express or Bandit?
  8. Considering Arkham is an SLC and Superman is an Intamin Accelerator, I'd go with the latter. If I were to call my home park the closest park to me, then my home park is Aussie World and the best (and only) coaster there is the fairly decent wooden wild mouse. However, I consider Movieworld to be my home park, and my favourite coaster there is Superman Escape.
  9. Granted, but the ride malfunctions and is down all day. I wish I was on the New Hotness Tour.
  10. Smelling like a wet fart. What's worse than SOB being traded for Bandit at Movieworld Germany?
  11. I'm very sorry it took so long for this update, I've been away at a friend's place without my laptop (where all my pics are stored), but better late then never I guess! Park #6: Pleasure Beach, Blackpool Pleasure Beach was one of my most anticipated parks. I'd heard great things about it, most of which were true. However, I have to admit it wasn't as fantastic as I expected. Once you get past the charm and nostalgia of the park, the place really doesn't have an excellent ride lineup, despite having 10 coasters. Nevertheless, I had a great time at Pleasure Beach! One notable thing I didn't end up getting a picture of was the insanely creepy laughing clown in a box. That thing scared the crap out of me. Welcome to Pleasure Beach! This is the view from our hotel room. How many coasters can you spot? The first ride of the day will be the Big One, because who doesn't like riding a 200ft twisted coat hanger? The Big One was my first hyper coaster. It was pretty fun, but - being an Arrow - very rough. I think I may have digested my spleen on this ride. The final drop took me by surprise, it was the best part of the ride after the first drop IMO. The rest of the ride was pretty forceless with little airtime and plenty of roughness. One good thing that came out of riding this was we got to sit behind and have a chat with Richard Rodriguez - the nutjob who plans to ride this thing all day for 100 days for a world record. He seemed pretty cool, but I can't imagine how bruised he'll be when he's finished Coasters and Burger King. I can die happy now. Next coaster of the day - Revolution. More Arrow! Surprisingly, Revolution was REALLY awesome. Very smooth, fairly intense and delivered insane ejector airtime in the back seat on the first drop! Ejector airtime through the trees! Time for Steeplechase - even MORE Arrow! I know Steeplechase is TPR's favourite coaster at Pleasure Beach, but I really did not like it. At all. I guess racing with friends would be fun, but riding alone all I could focus on was the discomfort I got from the seats and restraints. I couldn't wait for the ride to end. Finally something not Arrow - Avalanche! Avalanche was ok. It delivered a pretty cool out of control ride, but it was also quite bumpy and very short. River Caves was the only one of Pleasure Beach's quirky dark rides it's famous for. It was actually pretty cool! The theming was very substantial and created a fantastic atmosphere. Oh the embarrassment... First woodie of the day was Nickelodeon Streak, which was was, erm, very orange. Overall it was a fun ride. Nice and smooth, but sadly devoid of airtime. Maybe this woodie will be a bit better. I liked Big Dipper. Despite being the oldest woodie of the trip, it was surprisingly the smoothest! It had a nice layout with some decent pops of airtime. Uh oh. I spy pain. Yep, it's an SLC. I've only ridden one SLC before, and it was awful. So, being the idiot I am, I queued for Infusion. After all, it's meant to be a fairly smooth SLC right? Wrong. Infusion was just as rough and painful as Lethal Weapon, and no fancy water effects could make up for that. I think the most painful part is that I queued 30 minutes for this piece of crap. Big One - through the Vekoma! After getting my head smashed, I went to get my spine snapped. And Wild Mouse certainly did that. It was the most insane, violent coaster I've ever been on. And I loved it. The laterals, airtime and out of control feeling made for an awesome ride! Even better and crazier than Aussie World's wooden wild mouse! Grand National kicked ass. It was VERY rough, to the point where my mum was in tears when she got off, but it was really quite awesome. The airtime was insane, I felt like I was going to be catapulted from the ride more times than I can count! Unfortunately the ride broke down later in the day, so I got no pictures of it running. No re-rides on this awesome woodie then One thing I regret the most about my trip was the fact I didn't ride Valhalla. Due to the cold weather and my hatred for water rides, I skipped it out. Which is a shame, as I hear it's a fantastic ride. We ended the day on Ice Blast, my second S&S spaceshot ride after Batwing at Movieworld. Ice Blast had a fantastic view, but unfortunately didn't have the airtime that Batwing does. Still a good ride, and a good way to end the day. We said goodbye to Pleasure Beach, and thus ended our UK coaster tour. I had tons of fun on my trip and can't wait for my next visit to somewhere overseas! Thanks for reading guys.
  12. I don't know if this is my most anticipated 2013 coaster so far after looking at RCDB. I've seen database entries for a Mack launched coaster with inversions for a park in Russia, plus a new Intamin LSM launch coaster at a park in Turkey. And that's only what's been confirmed! It looks like 2013 will be an awesome year.
  13. Granted, but it's late I wish people would stop complaining about SDC's new woodie, like seriously?
  14. Yes and yes. Anyone who doesn't like it is probably smoking something illegal. Have you ever ridden a good Vekoma?
  15. Am I the only one who doesn't understand people's disappointment? It has an 81 degree drop and a double-down double-up. Great potential for ejector airtime here! And of course it has the insane Camel Toe element and double barrel roll.
  16. Granted, but they still complain about how Skyrush doesn't have teh loop teh loops and how every (insert coaster type here) is such a copy of (insert coaster of same type at GP's home park here). I wish I'd made a wish before.
  17. No Intamin and no B&M. What's worse than El Toro being given trims on it's first drop and every one of its airtime hills?
  18. Granted, but every update will consist of photos of goats and only goats. I wish I had a goat.
  19. Apparently they will. They've had a demolition application for Bermuda Triangle approved.
  20. Just wondering what people's opinions of the two Death at a Funeral movies are, if anyone's seen both of them. I've seen both, and although it is essentially an unnecessary remake of the original, I prefer the American version. I just preferred the humor in the American version. Particularly, I thought James Marsden as Oscar IMO was much better than Alan Tudyk as Simon. Both had me laughing out loud, but some of Marsden's lines were really hilarious (while others were copied). Maybe the main reason I found James Marsden so funny in the movie is because his role is so vastly different to his role as Cyclops in X Men, which was the last movie I saw him in. To see him first as a serious, fairly boring character and then suddenly as a hilariously drug- influenced person at a funeral was a bit of a shock for me. Anyway, I know most people can't get past the fact that the American version of Death at a Funeral is practically a line-by-line duplicate of the original, but I just found the American version more enjoyable personally.
  21. Looks like it's pretty much been confirmed after Sea World Australia posted this on their Facebook page where the 2013 water coaster will be going!
  22. A park with slow ride ops and attendants and crappy coasters. What's worse than being hit in the face with a pigeon on Kingda Ka?
  23. In response to a picture of SDC's new woodie.
  24. Granted, but after buying it you're not allowed to touch, use or look at it. I wish I could be a famous actor.
