  1. That's such a Six Flags thing to do, lol. In the words of Sisqó... Those tong-to-tongs-tongs-tongs. This is the stuff the world needs today (how did this end up in the BGW thread? The world may never know.)
  2. Jackbox Party Pack 7 comes out October 15!
  3. It's always been my dream to be one of those Halloween bungee people. I've been a scareactor at a local haunt, but that bungee stuff is next level awesomeness. Then again I'm sure it takes a lot of strength... and... yeah. Being a ride op on the B&Ms is great! Other rides checking lapbars are not always that fun cause you gotta slouch over, and, you know... work. Or you can just stamp everyone all day, like you said. lol.
  4. *Does not compute* Oh wait... you've been drinking the water at Darien Lake based on the username. Never drink the water at Darien Lake I could see how crowds play a factor but never in a million years would I hear anyone say they enjoyed La Ronde over CW. Granted I haven't been there since Goliath opened, but not a whole lot has changed from what I can tell. I know operations were ridiculously horrible when we went, and Bill has told some wonderful stories of the place, so I'm glad you had some decency there. Goliath's equivalent is Behemoth, and I will say I do love the B&M invert clones, but other than that, I just don't get that place other than the names of everything being fun to say Hey, a park is a park... I guess.
  5. Started playing my first new game in a long time today... "Fall Guys" on PS4. A fun casual game that gets intense with 60 players. I can see how it could get stale after a little bit but hopefully they add more free content. I don't know much about how it works since my wife bought the game. Edit: just saw some others post above lol
  6. Baby I'm back III - PLUFFADUFF -- mashup of a bunch of pop songs
  7. Labor day* -- yeah, I'm that guy. For two rides I don't think you'll have any issues. Then again, I haven't visited this year... sooo... good luck! Avoiding Vengeance is probably a good idea all-around given the circumstances. As you know, holiday Mondays are never really as bad as everyone always thinks they are gonna be. Enjoy your trip!
  8. Well, "Class Action Park" has been released on HBO MAX and despite some things probably being exadurated there is a lot of actual video footage that backs up what people are saying. Go watch!
  9. American Authors - Brick by Brick BT - The Lost Art of Longing (full album)
  10. Calling Coasterbill, log flume enthusiast: https://www.ebay.com/itm/254695474672
  11. With no hand stamp, how does a single day ticket holder get back in? Unless they swipe a photo for single day ticket holders too. Any other way would be completely abused to get other people in the park without paying. You can't scan a single day ticket more than once. And what would stop a membership/season pass holder from getting an exit ticket and giving it to someone else, and getting into the park again with their own pass? Unless I'm missing something obvious.
  12. " I suggest stopping at guest services prior to re-entry and with a little patience and another supervisor visit (another 15 minutes extra) they issued comp tickets for re-entry." Wouldn't you just get a hand stamp for reentry in this situation? Just like any daily ticket holder would? Most parks (before photos) used to only allow one scan per day anyways and always issued a stamp. I'd assume that's still a thing?
  13. Assuming you mean Covid-19... no. Have you ever taken a photo of yourself eating a roller coaster? (thanks to TPR for their post today on Facebook to remind me that this may in fact be a thing... lol)
  14. Yes, heavy rains last night with some flooding in the area. Have you ever held up a sign while on a rollercoaster showing how many credits you've been on / credit milestones?
  15. I had a Frozen Wegmans mushroom no-meat burger thing. SO GOOD!!! Just kidding. Yeah... never again. My health is deteriorating so I tried something new.... ugh. I need a real burger to get this awful taste out of my mouth....
  16. Back in Black - AC/DC -- on Viper lift hill at Darien Lake circa 2010 when the ride was repainted black again. I thought it was clever. It was very hard to hear due to Arrow anti-rollbacks.
  17. We have a new member of the family! Still no name...
  18. No Bayern Kurve... no deal. Why is everyone up in arms about Steel Curtain, Bayern should be the real ride to cry about. *HOOOOOOOORRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN* Edit: Nevermind it's not on the closed list. I was just going based on the post above. In that case, let's go!
  19. I have a feeling they will open it before the new year, regardless of what they said during their quarterly call... though I never heard the exact quote of what was said and I didn't hear what attendance was like or anything like that. Besides, it wouldn't be the first time they lied to their investors. (Zing.) I suspect they need the attendance **NOW**. While it makes sense to most to advertise a new ride next year, I feel like they probably aren't anywhere near capacity (unlike BGW where it makes sense to wait -- the demand is already there) I would expect a soft opening before the year is up. This is all just my gut talking.
  20. It was posted here back in 2009... but now you can view it in 60FPS / HIGH QUALITY!! PICKLE SURPRISE!!!!!
  21. Great reports and pics! I always like to hear a first timers account of Holiday World (for whatever reason, I think it surprises people) and glad you had a good time at all 3 parks. Pretty crazy about the collision, though. Glad nobody was hurt. I don't know how the braking system works for that ride but it's my guess that they were holding the brakes open at the panel instead of letting it stop on it's own and then releasing. I know when I used to work Silver Comet (completely different manufacturer, ride type, and everything) the panel had to release the brake at the final brake run after it stops but for whatever reason people think during training you need to hold the button to stop the ride... luckily there was only one train on that ride but taking that last little dip into the station at full speed is scary too. Point its, people who don't normally operate rides sometimes seem to think they need to "do" something to make it stop. Anyways, thanks for the time typing all that up. lol @ being impressed by the shed
  22. Put on some headphones and close your eyes for 5 min. Guaba - Sultan & Shepard
  23. Facebook social media team killing it again... lol. "Every 10 likes we will Photoshop Deep Water Dive taller! [emoji23]" Weeeeeee...
  24. It's sad because it's been so long and I honestly can't remember
