  1. They hit capacity at 8:52am this morning [emoji54] even sooner than I would have guessed. Sorry to those that don't have express!
  2. Holiday World. Voyage. Anybody who has been on it knows it defies all physics and somehow goes from a complete (except HWN) stop to crazy s*itshow in a manner of seconds. Not to say the part before it isn't intense, but it's unbelievable how it keeps its speed especially after that midcourse.
  3. They have hit capacity the past four days, the most recent at 10:15 am I believe. Usually the week from Christmas to New Years is the busiest time of the year. Anyone in operations in Orlando refers to it as "hell week". I would expect them to hit capacity by 10am each day, but that's just a guess. Good luck!
  4. The park has been hitting capacity on Saturdays and not reopening so get there early. Yesterday it didn't even make it past 11:30 and it's probably going to get worse on other days of the week as Christmas approaches and passes.
  5. ("only I didn't say fudge") Haven't been in this thread for a month.... and now I wish I had just let that continue and just skipped over the last few weeks. Can't wait to see the Darien Lake thread debate about THE Predator becoming a steel, hybrid, ibox, Titan, totally tubular, sensually seductive .... whatever you want to call it..... coaster. But that will be for another day. Just someone please private message me when that starts so I can stay far away. Anyways, anything to keep Lightning Rod more reliable, as others have said, is the most important. How it is classified... well, I'll just call it an RMC and call it a day. It doesn't matter.
  6. I think the upcoming season / whenever the park can get all the work done will be a weird/interesting/and disappointing season for some. I'm going to guess there is more smaller things going on that will come out of left field.. I think the biggest ??? to me is timelines. Even if they know what their plans are, time is of the essence and I'm going to guess if the park does open on time to the public next year, there is no way they will be able to get everything done that they want to, knowing how Darien Lake usually goes. We shall see... ? I'm really excited about Predator getting some love, I may actually WANT to visit the park once all is said and done simply based on that project
  7. New episodes of Animaniacs just got released on Hulu... anyone watch them yet?
  8. If it takes away from the experience and the surprise for you then why watch them?
  9. Anamanaguchi - Pixel Candle Love the sonic the hedgehog vibes.
  10. Holiday World posted a clue as to next year's theme in their HWN Facebook group... I couldn't pass up the opportunity...
  11. "I heard they were going to put [relocated and/or new coaster] across the street and build a bridge to it 'cause they own so much land!" --- Crazy Darien Lake people (aka 'Lake Monsters'?) circa 2001 through all eternity So we are getting NeWpReDaToR and a floorless b&m in one year? Let's also not forget about the next ride in history that got shipped to Darien Lake and never built... (the new water park ride for 2020) -- any bets on whether that will get built? And getting branded Hurricane Harbor? Wahoo Wave-it-goodbye! Or are we getting 3 new marketable attractions in 2021????? Welcome back to the 90's, Six Flags! Ugh, my brain is melting.
  12. Well at least we will get a new train out of the deal.... if I'm reading it right? According to the article you need a specific GCI train? Maybe they will send the current / Voyage train to Fantasy Island for the reboot... -- They are almost at $3,000 of the $1 million goal on the GoFundMe...
  13. https://www.dailyitem.com/business/great-coasters-international-seeks-patent-for-titan-track/article_b34d61f2-b70a-51d7-9da6-345f62d4622d.html Read carefully.
  14. Does Arby's deep fried turkey sandwich count? Saturday. When was the last time you played Roller Coaster Tycoon?
  15. I wonder if Knoebels is going to pick up the Bayern Kurve. There are shots from a few weeks ago of (old, ragged) parts of one on site on a trailer, I wonder if they will purchase this one and reopen it and use what they have now for parts. That would be amazing.
  16. Just came here to post this. So disappointing Source: official Facebook page https://fb.watch/1xpHh3P7vv/
  17. Absolutely love that shot of Windseeker at night! Tasting event looks fun, I've always like their brew and bbq, etc. offerings and agree they should do it every year. As much as I love the atmosphere I couldn't imagine going to CP and not do any rides. To each their own! I can also understand not wanting to wait in those lines I've read about... wowzas. Thanks for sharing!
  18. So I played all the new games on Jackbox Party Pack 7 the other night w/ a streaming party of 6, and I definitely think it's a great pack! I hosted on ZOOM and everything went really smoothly, surprisingly. Here's some info on the 5 new games: If anyone is familiar with the JBPPs I recommend picking it up!! or message me privately if you want to try to join in some night! It seems like they are still working out some bugs, but I didn't run into issues on release night. Even if you've never played any of them before they aren't too hard to figure most of the games out. Some are trivia with mini games, some are drawing games, etc. Only one person needs to own the game to stream it to everyone else -- some of the games would require audio/speaking at the very least so you would need a webcam, headset, or laptop to join in if playing virtually.
  19. Jackbox Party Pack 7 was released today! Excited to give these new games a shot tonight, I've been following the 5 new games pretty closely the past few weeks to get a feel for them and what to expect and they look like a lot of fun.
  20. Six Flags Darien Lake debuting Holiday In the Park after specifically stating they were closed for the season and during a pandemic when they've never done the event before.... that Darien Lake?
  21. Looks like tapatalk is working, I'm posting from it right now. I know in the past a lot of images and attachments and stuff I would miss out on and not always see with the app, so the mobile TPR site worked a lot better, and found myself going to "view in a browser" anyways quite a bit of the time, but we'll see how this goes with the new format. I'll spend time in both and see what works better. Thanks!
  22. Great to be back! Will there be any support for tappatalk moving forward? I know you display ads to get revenue to keep the site up and running, but it is my understanding that you can also display ads through there, too. Also, as a pro member or whatever they call it, supposedly they give revenue back to the forums you visit as well. I don't know how true any of that is. I have no problem visiting the mobile site, it looks very clean and put together and love the new features, but was just wondering if you were considering that at all or what the negatives of doing so are. Thanks for getting this back up and running!
  23. I know it's comparing apples and oranges since they are two different chains, but Canada's Wonderland was the only park in the CF chain that still hasn't thrown in the towel, either. I'm curious if they could pull off a winterfest or not, but I haven't been following the COVID cases or government entity's or anything like that so realistically I have no idea if they are even close to being able to open, but just found it interesting. How amazing would it be for both parks to open for their respective winter events? I don't see it happening personally, but it seems like they are both really hoping.
