  1. Matterhorn Bobsleds followed by the Corkscrew at Cedar Point. I have really fond memories of both, especially since Corkscrew was my first inverting coaster.
  2. Of course it does, dummy. Do you know how to use Photoshop?
  3. ^ Likes J-Pop < Just found out that ビューティフル レシート means "Beautiful Receipt" in Japanese v Likes Thrillville
  4. Yes, several times. Two of the most memorable were riding Green Lantern: First Flight with a horribly unbalanced car (I swear we surpassed safe negative G-forces at least three times), and riding Ninja at night after forgetting how insanely out-of-control it feels. Have you ever been on a rollback?
  5. Granted, but it'll only be 800 feet long: It launches up, and brakes down. I wish Windows 8 didn't suck.
  6. How did I only just now hear about this thread? I love your picture of Expedition Everest. These are the best photos I've seen on the TPR forums. Thanks a million for posting.
  7. Wow, I thought I was the only one who didn't enjoy the vert spikes on that thing. Maybe I should have said that instead of Excalibur.
  8. Mantis at Cedar point was my first, right after my first inversion on Corkscrew. A bit of a big leap for me at the time, but I remember loving it and riding it again in the same day.
  9. I haven't seen enough love for Magnum on this thread. I really don't think looking at the entire ride with Lake Erie in the background can be beat, especially with Soak City and the occasional glimpse of Canada. MF and Ninja at SFMM are my runner ups.
  10. I'm not sure why, but the pink and yellow combo of Rage at Adventure Island has always appealed to me. I also really like the colors on OzIris. It's like Montu, but I think it's a bit more photogenic.
  11. I actually think that Excalibur's lift hill is worse. Either that or Apocalypse's beautiful view of the SFMM train graveyard.
  12. Why does this keyhole gap argument exist? The ride looks great. Definitely looking forward to updates on the Inclined Dive Loop.
  13. ^I don't ever remember Vekoma ever making tire launches, but I know that Intamin has made several. Maybe that's who did it. Does anyone have proof of this?
  14. I just caught a glimpse of Dodonpa's wheel base. Are those... TIRES? Sounds like a terrible idea on SO many levels.
  15. Yes, and I believe it is the only one that inverts, too.
  16. The ever-brutal Patriot at Castles and Coasters. Another "fine" creation from the twisted minds at Hopkins.
  17. For the 2012 season they were running at: Calaway Park Keansburg Fun Plex I also have listed these North American ones as open in the Park Index, but I think they might have been removed within the past 2 years Elitch Gardens Kemah Boardwalk Fun Spot USA Valleyfair! If any of these are closed send me a PM and I'll fix it in the Park Index. Whatever happened to the one at Cedar Point? I haven't ridden it since 2008 but they shouldn't have closed it. I remember the capacity being fairly good and the ride expirence enjoyable.
  18. ^Kind of makes me wonder where they will fit the 400+ foot tall cranes when the tower gets that high. Grona Lund never has been famous for having room.
  19. Cool, I never knew that. Do Milennium Flyers do the same thing?
  20. ^And then proceed to reduce the capacity to nil. Unless Vekoma can figure out how to run two or three trains on one track. Not really. I looked at both and noticed that they are both under the name of "Butterfly", but Goudurix's transition between the two elements is perpendicular to the entry and exit, whereas the butterfly on Ninja is more loose, almost like two loops rather than a rollover variation.
  21. Every time I see that rollover I'm reminded of how much it hurts to look at. No wonder Vekoma never made another rollover like that.
  22. That black train was there when I was last at SFMM back in October. Are you sure it's new? Also, on the same trip I asked one of the Colossus ride ops what happened to the second track, and they said it was "being remodled". This isn't official yet, but I'm hoping for a chance of a Rocky Mountian Refurb on one track while keeping the other classic.
  23. Well, that was an unexpected explosion of awesome pictures. Thanks for finding those. You're welcome.
  24. What are you talking about? Mgea-lites cost around 7 million euros, or around 8-9 million dollars. The whole point of them are to be affordable, and avalible for all parks. The only Megalite on RCDB.com that has a pricing stat for it was Kawasemi, and that cost about 14.6 million USD. Which one cost that little? EDIT: I now know that much of Kawasemi was built over water, making it a bit more expensive. Maybe you're right.
  25. ^^Of course not. It may not be true to layout/size/intensity of the other MegaLites, but I could see Intamin making a smaller version. Maybe then America will finally get one.
