  1. I agree with Doug, Ride of Steel is a horrible name, that is like Son of Beast named "Ride of Wood" (Now, Son of Beast sounds like a nice name)
  2. I hope Potter won't replace Jurrasic Park because Jurrasic Park is an amazing (not cheesy) ride. Though, i doubt it, hopefully Universal will get tired of Potter after USH and USO.
  3. Though, it still wouldn't really fit in there nicely, you need to build tall rides further away.
  4. I photoshopped your picture by putting Black Widow there, it does NOT fit there, it would look too ugly. A small ride such a breakdance would be nice there.
  5. Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland is the king of the Themed rides, though a non-Disney ride is really hard to think of since I have not been to a Universal park yet, though Legoland California has some good theming on their rides (e.g. Lost Kingdom Adventure, Dragon).
  6. I went to SFDK yesterday, on the 28th and it was much more crowded than last week suprisingly. I guess it is because this week people are off of work. My highlights: -Better than usual operations on Medusa, instead of 3-minute dispatches, they were 2-minute dispatches! -Pandemonium is continuing with the drawing of winning free tickets to go on Superman. -Also, this one person told me that a Six Flags employee told him that Boomerang will be removed next year. This is a rumor and I hope that particular employee doesn't know what he is talking about (which probably is going to happen ). Though, we should still look at this as a rumor.
  7. I'm starting to like this colors, it seems these colors just grow on you. Though, I never would expect a blue tracked ride with orange supports would look so good. Stunt Fall has very similar colors and that looks really good.
  8. I'm excited for Superman: Ultimate Flight (SFDK) next year because I will ride it.
  9. I went to SFDK on 12/23 and these are the "highlights" of the trip: -Roughest ride on Kong with me. I love calling it "Train Wreck: The Ride" (If you here someone yelling Train Wreck: The Ride on Kong's lift, that's probably me. ) -They painted the 3rd train on Medusa (under re-hab) and it looks so amazing! -Only 3 trains running on Pandemonium -Big Clearance sale in SFDK's shops (I really don't know why they are selling things they are going to use next year [e.g. SFDK jackets, Shouka products]) -I went on my 21st credit: Roadrunner Express! (It actually suprised me on how *tough* NOT rough it is on you, I saw tons of kids going off of it crying and I was the only one in the whole train having fun. ) -Even though it isn't inside SFDK, we beat the traffic from the whole Bay Area going to Lake Tahoe. -Oh, also they gave FREE giraffe feeding because the cashier didn't come on time and when he came, the zookeepers told him to leave. This was the 1st time I fed a giraffe and I got to say that $5 is a rip-off but a good money-making device just like those horrible lockers.
  10. From Yahoo Answers: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080703183049AANuVTX
  11. It's usually not that crowded when I go, if you get to the park when it opens there should be little to no lines on the major rides. But it tends to get a little busy later in the day when it gets darker. By the way, make sure you try the snow hill, its a lot of fun! When I went to SFDK on Black Friday, it literally took me an hour and a half to cover the whole park, heck that is the wait for Medusa in Fright Fest.
  12. It's always sad to see any park going down. In some pictures, it reminds me of SFNO, even though it wasn't demolished.
  13. That looks amazing! The Little Mermaid ride reminds me of the Carsland construction.
  14. ^^First of all, a hilarious picture, though that's what I was thinking the whole time. Lapbars can do inverted turns and everything if it is facing up.
  15. I absolutely love skyscrapers as much as theme parks & roller coasters. What I really like is the art deco design and the American International Bldg. in New York City I like the most. It's the building in the middle.
  16. No. Fear Factor is too disgusting. I would rather be on Wipeout. Also, Fear Factor's popularity went substantially down in the last 10 years.
  17. Carolina Cobra is the only boomerang that has good reviews, the only reason why the reviews don't show the ride as spectacular is just because it is a boomerang.
  18. What is funnier than GP saying weird things is when you post a weird thing on purpose and the lovely things the GP say.
  19. Whalom Park! Would you rather go to BGW or BGT?
  20. Is the Boardwalk space the Boomerang?
  21. Oops, I forgot that X2 was the star attraction.
  22. I submitted. 1: Roar (SFDK) 2: Grizzly (CGA) 3: Giant Dipper (SCBB) I'm also submitting a link to the Mitch Hawker Poll on my website.
  23. Didn't Santa Clara appeal the case of the office buildings not wanting the GCI coaster being built?
  24. "Star attraction" is a relative term. My "star attraction" at Hersheypark is Lightning Racer Thunder side, but my teenage sister's "star attraction" at Hersheypark is the East Coast Waterworks. I more mean the star attraction not being what your favorite ride is, but what is the tallest, fastest, most popular ride in the park that the GP always run to first like: Storm Runner - Hersheypark (soon to be Skyrush) Top Thrill Dragster - Cedar Point X2 - SFMM Kingda Ka - SFGAdv Intimidator - Carowinds Medusa - SFDK
  25. For some reason, Coke always seems to beat Pepsi at their soft drinks: Coke vs. Pepsi: Coke wins Diet Coke vs. Diet Pepsi: Diet Coke wins Sprite vs. Sierra Mist: Sprite wins
