  1. I was more saying that it won't be very exciting until the first tower piece is put into place in Spring (supposedly). Building the foundation isn't very exciting in my opinion.
  2. It's the same thing as 20 movies saying they are the "best movie of 2011". It's all about getting people's attention, plus GP don't know much about new 2012 installations. If a commercial states that Stinger will be the best coaster of 2012, the GP will most likely agree with it.
  3. I don't think Cedar Point is in any trouble since the park is getting new additions every year, they might not be the greatest, but they still draw somewhat of a crowd in. I think 2013 will be the year for a massive coaster.
  4. Windseeker construction won't be exciting until Spring.
  5. My 1st coaster was Runaway Reptar (now Woodstock Express) at Great America, aged 7.
  6. The old concept doesn't show Great America in much detail and even though Flight Deck is missing, I don't see Star Tower or any other actual ride there. Also, it's odd that an amphitheater is on the Whitewater Falls location. I think Great America won't have anything special in 2012, it will just be the same, but 2013 will be a different story. Plus, how could there be a new ride from JMA when they would only own the park for 3 months when the park opens, it takes some time to install a large ride.
  7. Actually, what I think would be something godd for 2013 would be a Rocky Mountain or Gravity Group wooden coaster that takes up the Log Jammer location and surroundings that would have a lot of track near the ground with tight transitions. It could be named "Mountain Express". Though, I don't think it will be an Intamin Strata since the S:EFK transition and Lex Luthor Drop of Doom are all advertising Superman's tower and I think Six Flags wants to keep S:EFK as the "biggest" ride for awhile.
  8. Really, it doesn't matter, you would be killed either way. Would you rather swim for 25 miles or run for 50 miles?
  9. A steel coaster with splinters What's worse than getting a disease that won't kill you, but will annoy you for the rest of your life?
  10. All of the statistics are showing what the dispatch times were when I went on these rides. Plus, Kong & Roar do have 2 running trains as of October 30, 2011.
  11. I am very impressed with Leviathan as I now admit I slightly underestimated it. Though, it's amazing how Cedar Fair changed the skyline as before the only ride over 200' was Drop Zone and now there are 4 rides over 200'.
  12. SFDK Hourly Capacity Ride Name ---------------# of seats-Dispatch Time--------Hourly Capacity Medusa-------------------32----------3:00 (20 in hour)-----640 pph Pandemonium-----------4-----------1:00 (60 in hour)-----240 pph Kong----------------------16----------2:00 (30 in hour)-----480 pph Sky Screamer-----------16----------3:00 (20 in hour)-----320 pph Roar----------------------24----------2:00 (30 in hour)-----720 pph V2: Vertical Velocity----28---------3:00 (20 in hour)------560 pph Boomerang--------------28----------3:00 (20 in hour)------560 pph Hammerhead Shark----48----------3:00 (20 in hour)-----960 pph Voodoo-------------------40----------3:00 (20 in hour)-----800 pph Superman----------------12----------3:00 (20 in hour)------240 pph Superman w/ 2 trains --12----------2:00 (30 in hour)-----360 pph The capacity actaully scares me that no ride in SFDK has a capacity over 1000 pph and suprisingly Roar is the coaster w/ the highest capacity and Hammerhead Shark has the most capacity than any other ride (Please tell me if there are any mistakes)
  13. Not only is Leviathan going to be insane next year, Dragon Fire will seem more insane next year. I would recommend everyone going on that next year since Dragon Fire has recieved more theming.
  14. This is some crazy idea but since The Chiller is on Ital, JMA could purchase that coaster for the 2012 season for a cheap amount. Where would they put it? My guess would be Redwood Amphitheater since no pesky neighbors would bother it.
  15. It seems that way, not a single thing was put in that website for around 3 - 4 months, I actually never seen a new thing added in, and usually new permits for small things are put on there frequently.
  16. Agreed^ I think this may be another BBW case, just the water ride version. Once its replacement is announced, people will forget about what originally occupied that land. I would rather lose Ninja & Jet Stream than Log Jammer. Log Jammer is one of the greatest flume rides built and it was cleverly put onto the side of the hill and where have you found a log flume with 2 massive drops? I think this is a pathetic move and taking out Log Jammer from SFMM is like taking out Splash Mountain from Disneyland, it doesn't make sense. Plus, they could've removed the amphitheater next door since there is tons of space on the amphitheater location and behind the amphitheater.
  17. When will the apocalypse happen??? I'm prepared and waiting! Though, I always know these predictions are a bunch of bogus. The number of times people said that an apocalypse will happen is extremely high, and the fail rate is 100%, though we all know the apocalypse is happening tomorrow on Halloween, so say good bye to your loved ones now.
  18. Pandemonium. I never rode Disaster Transport though the reviews make the ride seem horrible. If you were to go to a theme park with many coasters, would you rather just have 1 credit on the coaster that will be taken out the next year or ride all the other coasters that all will be around for 20 more years?
  19. It is! Honestly Nebraska will most likely be the last one I get too...why the hell would I go there? I guess same for North Dakota haha. Washington and Oregon will definitely be next!!! The Pacific Northwest is really nice, I have been to Oregon once, and I was really lucky because the week I went to Portland, it was rain-free! Though, Portland is I think the best American city that is rarely ever talked about.
  20. My response to the title of this thread: Yahoo!
  21. I really don't remember, I usually know when things are important. When was the last time you went on a coaster that was on the Top 10 in the Golden Ticket Awards? (wood or steel)
  22. No, I don't like spaghetti Do you have a 2012 season pass to a park already?
  23. Yesterday, I went to CGA for the last time of the season. Some things that were out of the normal: -Lake beneath Demon's corkscrew was drained (or was it always drained?) -More line cutting than usual especially on Survivor & Grizzly -Top Gun is sadly starting to show its age as it is starting to rattle in the corkscrew/last helix part, though it wasn't just today I seen this every day -Vortex had a long line, not worth it for such a horrible coaster -Bulldozer behing Invertigarden is put somewhere else -Demon wasn't talking in the 1st tunnel The day was not that crowded on a Saturday and was far from SFDK's crowd 2 Saturdays ago.
  24. That's not really a weird thinga GP said, that's just someone asking a question unless there is more to the story.
  25. SFMM, SFGAm, & SFGAdv all had 2.5 million visitors in 2009, in 2010 I believe that SFMM got out of the tie. So, that's why those 3 are the 3 major parks.
