Very cool Cameron, and it looks like a lot of fun. Now, I'm going to have to find a local arcade and get a pinball fix!

I think we need a little more info from you to help you with your choices. How much time will you have? Are you renting a car or will you be using public tranportation? Do you only like coasters or do you enjoy dark rides as well? It takes a lot of planning to do coaster trips. Get to know rcdb.com really well and buy maps of the area you will be travelling in. If you want my best advice, I'd say to sign up for the East Coast trip next year. You will hit a buch of parks, get ERT and hang out with some great people.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces "X2"
CreativeForce replied to Loco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hopefully this will make the ride smoother. I really don't think that adding a tunnel and some lights will make the ride experience any different, but X has really gotten violent lately and if the new trains help with that, then I'm all for it! -

Chuck your TRs always crack me up. Can't wait for the next installment! -
I have a Captain Eo premire party t-shirt. Can I wear that to Disneyland? Or should I wear it to WDW?

One other thing to consider is that these trips have really grown to be an extension of R&E normal coaster trips. They have been gracious enough to let us "tag along" and leech off their expertise and good standing with many of the parks in order to get perks. I know I wouldn't want someone else to tell me how to plan my trip and R&E have had tons of experience in trip planning so I'm sure what they plan and how they structure it is in order to create the best trip possible for all participants. I understand that a lot of people can't take two weeks off for a coaster trip (I'm one of them) so you may have to settle for joining one of the shorter trips or squeeze a park or two into your "regular" vacation. My wife is not a big coaster person and yet I've managed to go on two of the TPR trips and I'm planning on joining them for another next year. We will also still have our "regular" vacation which we will plan and will not include any coasters. It's all about balance and keeping the wife happy. And who knows, maybe if you do one of the shorter trips you can convince the wife to sign up for one of the longer ones!

The Official "TPR MidWest USA 2007" Trip Thread!
CreativeForce replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Okay, first of all, NO ONE is allowed to break rides except me. Second, I'm breaking the vow of silence and telling everyone who is not on the trip that every single video and picture is staged. They are not having any fun at all. Robb and Elissa let everyone off the bus for about 10 minutes to take pictures for the "trip report" and then take them back to a warehouse where they are forced to create pirated coaster DVD and massive amounts of buffalo wings. No one should ever sign up for one of these trips again! Sorry, the truth had to be told. An no, I'm not bitter about not being there! Have a great time all, and I look forward to all the updates! I hope you all DIE! Oh yeah, more Big Mike pics! -
Happy Birthday Lou! You're a year closer to me! Yes, I've stopped aging and just waiting for everyone else to catch up! Hope you have an awesome day!

Great video Morgan! Really makes me wish I could have stayed on for the Mini-Europe part of the trip. Well, I'll just have to do the full Europe trip next year! You all look like you had a great time and it really made me miss all the great people on the Spain part of the trip. You guys all rock and hopefully I'll see you all next year!
-
We did indeed hit Parque Warner Madrid and I'm sure there will be an update on that soon. I'm really jelous of everyone who's still on the mini-Europe part of the trip and wish I could be there with you instead of being back at stupid work! You all suck! I have to say that R&E have once again done a fantastic job and hosted an amazing trip. That along with taking care of KT, doing updates, etc... I have no idea where they get their energy from. (Unless Robb has finally figured out a way to leech the brainwave energy off of the drooling masses who log on to the website. Hey wait, I'm one of those drooling masses.) I had a great time and I'll be doing a trip with you guys next year again. Now all I have to do is convince Rebecca that we need to go to Europe next year. Enjoy the rest of the trip!

I don't know about the future being changed, since the flash foward is really the "now" in the real world. (Remember it's still 2004 or maybe early 2005 in "island" time) I think it's an intresting hole they've dug themselves into and I really hope they planned it out so that they have a shovel big enough to dig themselves out. Since this is the "halfway point" of the entire lost saga, I can see the next three seasons being all about them being on the island and "flash fowards", that would still give you the classic three act structure in a very unconventional way. I just wish we didn't have to wait until Feb. -
Southport gets trashed.
CreativeForce replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The rest of the park was "ehh", but the funhouse. I was really bummed to see the pictures of it sitting empty inside. I'm so glad I got to experice it last year on the UK trip. Thanks again R&E! -
The Simpsons Theme Park
CreativeForce replied to Tobias94's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
A Simpsons Theme Park (and just about any theme) could work if it done correctly. Besides obvious lands like Itchy and Scrachy, you could -have a tour of Krustilu Studios (great dark ride ideas) -enjoy downtown springfield (central hub with shops and restuarants) -Skateboarding with Bart (Anything from a motion sim to a roller coaster) -Have a drink at Moe's (Derek will be there) -etc... There is lots of material to play with, it's just a matter of having the creativity and more importanly MONEY to do it. -

This is pretty funny Will. Keep up the good work. Although, I think Robb should set more stuff on fire, like the sofa or Ryan. -

Okay, so last night episode made up for last weeks. Having Kate and Juliet handcuffed together and slugging it out in the rain probably fulfilled a lot of fanboys fantasies. The only thing missing was them "accidently" tearing each others clothes. The thing that I'm wondering is; When are they going to finally bring people together so that they can start making connections and realizing they are interconnected? I really hope it's a gradual process and not something they throw together in the final episode of the series. It would be much more interesting if they start to figure it out a little bit a time, so that the tension mounts. We'll see. Next weeks episode looks like it has the potential of being really good. Of course you can make anything look good in a 30 sec. trailer. -

I finally watched this weeks episode last night and I have to say that I was dissappointed. It started off with a really cool premise but I feel like the writers didn't take it far enough. It would have been FAR more intresting if suddenly Desmond was "living" in both times, the island and the past without the ability to escape from either and anything he said in either place would only be looked on as the ravings of a madman. The way it played out was more of a "I got hit on the head and had this really funky dream, brother." It could have been so much more. I really hope it gets better. -

So if Ben is Alex's father, does that mean he knows Danielle is still alive? Does Danielle know that Ben is the father or was she implanted with the embryo in some weird Dharma test? I have to say that this episode was much better than the six previous and I hope it marks the return of good storytelling on this show. I was afraid that the show had "jumped the shark" but if it stays on last nights level then it will once again be my #1 show. And can I say, this was my first LOST with Tivo, (I got one for Christmas) and it's so worth it to wait the extra 20 minutes before starting so that you can watch without commercials!! -
The Mega Dead Celebrity Thread
CreativeForce replied to frozenflames's topic in Random, Random, Random
I just heard this on CNN. Apparently she died after collapsing in a Florida hotel. It's kinda sad and tragic. I feel really bad for her young daughter, who now has no mother and no one is really sure who the father is. I think Cheney did it as a distraction from the war. I should go sell my Trimspa stocks now... -
New coaster webcomic
CreativeForce replied to Edwardo's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Worst comic ever! Robb, you suck! Now if he would have ordered French Fries.....naw, that's lame too! -
When the nuke went off, I just started laughing. Just imaging the charred remains of Deja Vu and Psyclone was enough to make my night. Too bad Robb and Elissa had to go to, but sacrifices must be made. Does this mean I get my deposit for the trip back?

^They'll just keep pimping themselves out until the casting directors are tired of them. Or they fall into a vat of pirahnas in Brazil during episode 5 of AR All Stars. I hope, I hope, I hope....

NBC's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip
CreativeForce replied to PhishyBrewer's topic in Random, Random, Random
I've been wathcing from the begining and I think it's one of the best new shows this season. (The BEST new show is on right before Studio 60). The writing is clever and the acting really well done. Last nights episode was probably the best of the bunch and I hope it only continues to get better. I'm really glad NBC is giving this show a chance and have picked it up for the rest of the season.
