Six Flags...? RCT3
niiicolaaah replied to sfotkid's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
This daily one-thing-changing update system is excruciating. Speed things up a little will ya?! -
YES!!! Sayid is SO hot!!! I am loving this season so far.

^Jeez, bobsled nazi!! Nice work so far, I like your water slides especially. -
Wait... what?! Did that not make a shred of sense to anyone else?!?!

You people are weird. To all you guys out there... 1. Be yourself, we can tell if you're not. If they don't like you the way you are then you shouldn't be together anyway. To all you girls out there... 1. Try not to be such a whiny clingy jealous bitch. My boyfriend is a dorky ex-ACEr who likes to ride coasters and watch Transformers, and I wouldn't want him any other way.

^Don't let people in this thread get you down. Not that it seems like you are. You are very well spoken and seem to be more analytical than most 14-year olds I have ever known. You are thinking things out and planning ahead on this project, and I think you're doing an awesome job so far! Keep up the good work!

How do you save money at a park?
niiicolaaah replied to palmerleeberry's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Queen of penny pinching here... Park admissions: Look for after 5 pm deals or special admission deals, I remember Darien Lake used to have reduced admission with a pepsi can on certain days or something like that. AAA or CAA offer somewhat discounted admissions to parks, and in some places you can buy discounted tickets at supermarkets like Wegmans or Tops/Martin's/Giant/whatever your local variety is. Food: If you have a car, pack sandwiches and other lunch stuff in a cooler and leave it in the car (preferably in a cooler, shady spot if possible! ) Then when your party gets hungry, go out to the car and eat the food you brought. My parents used to do this for us all the time. Also, if your park is not in the middle of nowhere, sometimes it can be worth it to leave the park to eat if the place is within walking distance. Another thing could be, split your food. For example, some of those sandwiches at Busch Gardens, while like $8 a piece, are meatnormous and enough to share. Souvenirs: You don't need a t-shirt from EVERY park, do you? I always buy pins or magnets, they are cheap and a good memento of your trip. The basic thing is... know how much you are willing to spend and ONLY bring that much to the park! You don't really need to bring your credit card and entire life savings to the park. -
Star Flyer for Martin's Fantasy Island
niiicolaaah replied to larrygator's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I could swear I posted about this before, I've known about it for months... oh well! Yeah this will be a pretty good addition to the park. It's only 140 feet tall though, that's almost 100 feet shorter than the one at Magical Midway. Should be a fun ride though! -
Mitch Hawker's Steel Poll
niiicolaaah replied to yankees15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I can't use the Coasterfanatics helper this year. The randomization makes it too difficult to find what I am looking for. I am going to have to do it manually. Oh well! -
I have a great idea for you... how about you stick to going to SFGAm... and just stay there. You are definitely NOT ready to plan a trip if you won't even take 2 seconds to do a google maps search and figure out Edmonton is on the wrong side of Canada from Toronto.

Hmmmmm.....I wonder which yellow colored coaster that would be. LOL... Did I even ride a yellow coaster this weekend?!?! No, I was thinking more of the AWESOMENESS that is the Dragon Wagon at Old Town.... just kidding. -

Yay finally... unfortunately I just added 10 steelies to my count this weekend, 1 of which will be in my top 10.... I guess I have to be good and not rank them! -
Question about the Tax Rebate that is coming to Taxpayers
niiicolaaah replied to spaceace12's topic in Random, Random, Random
I didn't get a rebate last year, and I don't really care if I get one this year. I'm more concerned about which freaking state I'm supposed to file my income taxes in -
Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
niiicolaaah replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well, thank you for enlightening me with that unnecessarily sarcastic and slightly insulting response. I guess I just don't care for the way that MCBR looks. It seems like it will be slow to start again, whereas something like Nitro's that goes directly into a drop is more exciting in my opinion. http://www.rcdb.com/ig1106.htm?picture=10 -
I think it also probably depends on the ride op you get. For example, we weren't allowed to ride Little Leaper or whatever the kiddy coaster is called, but Derek had been on it on a previous trip. I liked Leap the Dips. It wasn't the most exciting or thrilling coaster out there obviously, but it had its own charm (especially the creaking and "airtime") and I think as the oldest coaster on the planet it deserves a ride especially if you are within driving distance of it.

I disagree with you on the flat rides, I think DL has a great selection of flats. Haymaker, Silver Bullet, Ranger, a ferris wheel, bumper cars, pirate ship, top spin, as well as antique cars, log flume, rapids ride, shoot-the-chutes, and a large selection of kiddie rides. I think DL's selection of rides is very well-rounded, and the thing that would do them the most good is to get some more coasters. And to fix the layout of the water park.

Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
niiicolaaah replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Once again... every time I see more pictures I get more and more "underwhelmed". That MCBR looks interesting... it looks like there is a little dip going into the helix which leads me to think the MCBR will stop the train completely and it will need that little dip to get going again. And gotta love the trim brakes on like EVERY hill. At least it looks really cool in that one picture, like it's the length of the entire park. -
Mitch's Coaster Poll
niiicolaaah replied to ScubaSteve442's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah I am wondering if it's going to come out at all... I think they were released right after each other last year. It has been a while since the wood poll was completed. -
