  1. If a Mexican mouse wants to sell pizza in a country where they speak Portuguese, he can do that.
  2. I'm sure Robb is noting this for future TPR trips.
  3. I think they are playing around with different popcorn flavors at DCA now--over in Carsland.
  4. You can never have enough pictures of Europa Park. That's the law. Great shots from angles I've never seen before, Hanno.
  5. I am astounded by the variety of popcorn available at Disneyland! Well, they're workin' on it. Did you get your corn dog from that van on Main Street? They are pretty damn good there.
  6. Hmm--you know, we already have a number of threads defining "coaster credits," which get into the idea of "milestones," that I don't think we need another one.
  7. I like 'em, too, but I share your concerns.
  8. They're lucky that the media are currently obsessed with Superman at SFDK.
  9. Any picture of Europa is welcome--one of my favorite places.
  10. I didn't think Beast was particularly rough when I rode it a few years ago (can't speak for how it is now, of course). I like it because it is unique among wooden coasters, thanks to its rather eccentric layout.
  11. 14/21--but that was with a lot of guessing.
  12. There was a POV posted on some news channel's Web site, and the only effects I recall seeing were the lights as you go up the lifthill. Then again, I've never ridden Disaster Transport, so there may be some stuff that the camera didn't catch.
  13. It was all the work of . . . Evil Leprechauns!
  14. I remember hearing Dick Kinzel being interviewed on "The Motley Fool" in 2005 (I think). When asked what was the "biggest mistake" his company had ever made, he said "Disaster Transport."
  15. Dragon looks like the weirdest coaster Arrow ever built--but in a good way, like Tennessee Tornado.
  16. ^Oh, that's right. I just didn't score any for the office. How unfortunate.
  17. ^Well, I guess Medieval Macabre's gotta go somewhere.
  18. ^Actually, we already exist in three-dimensional space. Hmm--Penn and Teller. I guess that this will be the standard "comedy" house that Universal always throws in. I predict that through the course of the maze, you'll see Penn and Teller being taken apart piece by piece, only for them to emerge at the end to tell you it's all been faked.
  19. I'm not a fan of Kingda Ka. El Toro is the king of Great Adventure, although I do agree with you about the ride's second half, when it switches from ejector air to laterals (sort of like a bull wheeling about, I guess). This puts it below Balder for me, but I still think El Toro is a great ride.
  20. When I rode Timber Wolf two years ago, I was expecting the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. I liked the ride well enough, thinking it was just lacking "something" to make it "very good" or "great." Maybe topper track is the answer.
  21. ^Same. It'll be good to hear the opinions of the group.
  22. ^I agree that they could've made better choices for this group; MF was the best of this bunch, though (even though it's the only one of three I haven't ridden).
  23. ^This really is a "fill in the blank with any baseless comparison you want" kind of statement. "I mean look look at this crap this doesn't look anything like a grinning yak sitting atop a dead yeti." "I mean look look at this crap this doesn't look anything like a red wheelbarrow in the yard sitting by the white chickens." "I mean look look at this crap this doesn't look anything like ________."
  24. ^Well, Kingda Ka is definitely of "extreme height," even it if is a one-trick pony. Not surprised at the outcome of this week's episode.
