I was at a party with my friend Carol back in my grad-school days, and there were some Chinese students there. We were talking about differences in dress standards between China and the U.S. Carol was wearing a t-shirt and a modest pair of shorts. One of the Chinese girls said to her, in the sweetest way possible, "We would say you dress like prostitute."

^The cold water will probably feel pretty refreshing, being it should be pretty durn hot in Atlanta.

I saw the commercial for the California State Fair while I was at my parent's house in Kings Beach last week--a bunch of people in animal suits break dancing. It was kind of disturbing.

I didn't even understand the question.

The only reason I posted the story was because it sounded like there was trouble with Mach Tower. Here we are 24 hours later and the ride is almost back open. I did not run on a rumor, it was in the Daily Times. Exactly. Two things. 1. I was not referring to you, but to the park for making what seemed to be a rather "important" announcement, only to retract it the next day. Sorry if this wasn't clear. 2. The paper is the Daily Press, not the "Daily Times."

Nice theming job on Raptor--and those are great pictures, Hanno.

^I've never bought the "location" argument. If the ride hadn't developed such a bad reputation for being rough and painful, people would've found it.

Does seem to be a bit much for what amounted to a one-day closure--but we'll see.

^I'd say that if you want to talk about "fails" at BGW, I think the Drachen Fire mess was a much bigger one (whether you liked the coaster or not).

The kid on the right thinks this is "Satan: The Ride."

It usually involves a cup of water and a roller coaster. The idea is to make it back to the station with some water still in the cup.

^Exactly--it pales in comparison to, say, the Rocket Rods fiasco. Mach Tower's best feature was always the rotation on the way up. As far as drop towers go, it's average.

My, my--aren't we dramatic? I hardly think this will be "devastating" for the park, or overshadow the "buzz" for Verbolten.

Just looking at pictures of this water park is terrifying--yet curiously intriguing.

^Is that really necessary? How did Pierce's in Williamsburg stack up to these joints, Larry?

Those two guys look as though they just realized they were plunging into a pool of crocs or gators.

There are some hotels near BGW, but there isn't much else out there (mostly offices). There are more restaurants on Richmond Road, Williamsburg's main tourist area, so you might want to concentrate on staying there.

ISpeed needs a new name: I propose "Groper: The Experience" or "Molestatore." Will Robb and Elissa get the scent of burning rubber out of their clothes? Incredible!

I think that's one of the best pictures ever posted on TPR. Hanno has a great eye to go with that camera.

That's interesting that the Adventurer's Club will be "reborn" at Hong Kong Disney. I imagine the concept will seem fresher to that park's audience.
