  1. Meh - seen one alien disco party on the moon with an upsidedown crocodile and a pirate fortune teller, and you've seen em all! Some saw an aline disco party with a crocodile. I saw something far more sinister: http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=617989#p617989.
  2. They have been involved with this place for a long time. It's sad that it takes interviews with former staffers to get this to be news. When PETA has said anything in the past people have just rolled their eyes. PETA has mostly themselves to blame for that. All those years of publicity-grabbing stunts have made most of the public immune to their message. But I agree that something needs to be done about Marineland. The poor animals' situation there sounds deplorable.
  3. ^"Dear Hair Club for Men . . ." Trust me--I know what the feeling.
  4. Here's the press release from the park concerning Howl-o-Scream 2012: I wonder of the new maze will be in the old Drachen Fire barn. They didn't use it last year due to the construction of Verbolten (it was a werewolf maze in the past).
  5. ^Maybe Disney now officially owns Christmas?
  6. That'll learn them French Canadian varmits!
  7. ^This was mentioned during the Verbolten media day, as well, but we weren't given any details.
  8. Does the Chick-Fil-A serve Elois, but not Morlocks? Or does it serve Elois to Morlocks?
  9. ^Best building and pre-show, but the weakest ride. If they combined this with the Tower program in Florida, it would be the best of them all.
  10. ^^I second that. The lapbars are a big improvment over those wretched OTSRs.
  11. If you ever find yourselves in Virginia, you'll probably want to check out the Army Transportation Museum at Ft. Eustis in Newport News. Or maybe not. (Well, it does have a hover car on display.)
  12. ^That was a pretty common occurence on that slide, as I recall.
  13. There used to be some rather odd stuff in the yellow building at Schlossbeck--did no one have the courage to venture within? Was that yet-to-be-opened ride some sort of alpine coaster? If so, that would be perfect for that park.
  14. I would vote for the ToT at Tokyo DisneySea.
  15. ^Proof that Charlie Brown is God? That would certainly explain a lot about the human condition.
  16. Based on RMC's success with New Texas Giant, as well as the new "track technology" they've developed, I'm pretty optimistic about Outlaw Run. If it delivers half the ride of New Texas Giant, I'll be happy with it (even if they are forced remove the inversion some day).
  17. ^I enjoyed Wild Eagle (hard to beat the setting), but I thought the most surprising thing about it was that weird little surge it makes after you hit the brakes at the end (when it whips around the corner into the station). Cedar Point is thinking, "So, Great America has a 'keyhole' element, eh? Well, we will give them two! Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!"
  18. I thought it was the Boone's Farm Sparkling Boysenberry Ripple.
  19. Yeah, I'm not sure that KD would want to be stuck with a used, old, problematic water ride. They'd be better off starting from scratch and getting something like Pilgrim's Plunge. They also have their own water park as part of park admission.
  20. ^Uh oh, Jake! While you're out on that limb, watch out for crazed ethusiasts with chain saws!
  21. It is, indeed, photogenic.
  22. ^Funny story about that: One of the quests was to bring up someone over 50 years of age. I volunteered, and Amber saw my hand up and came running--right into a bench! Ow!
  23. I think I'll go there just for the cones.
