  1. Agreed! Orlando always needs new ways for people to cool off.
  2. EDIT: Yes, he has the Fighting Cat stunt! E-x-x-x-x-c-e-l-l-l-l-e-n-t!
  3. ^Interesting. I didn't realize they were losing that much of the river; however, that was pretty much wasted space to begin with. And we'll be getting a much more scenic waterfront area.
  4. ^Yep. Great America was wonderful during a TPR trip a few years earlier, though.
  5. I haven't given Bowie much thought since my college days. He was a very talented man, and I used to listen to two of his albums quite a bit: "Diamond Dogs" and "Young Americans." The former is a dystopian, apocalyptic sci-fi concept, while the latter is a "soul" album. That thing about Bowie is which Bowie are you talking about.
  6. Oblivion--Alton Towers
  7. Exactly. All they're "losing" is a BBQ restaurant and a petting zoo, while getting a much nicer waterfront in return (in addition to the Star Wars stuff).
  8. M: Monolith Monsters, The
  9. apparently, the album was complete in early 2015, and he worked on the videos and album release knowing he was terminal. he planned them as a "goodbye gift" to his fans, hence the release 2 days prior to his death. (that's per the Bowie management) Hadn't heard this. Warren Zevon released an album called "My Ride's Here," which rather eerily preceded his being diagnosed with cancer (the title song has to do with dying). But he lived long enough to record "The Wind," as well.
  10. I love what Disney has planned not only for the original Magic Kingdom, but also Disney Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. The Rivers of America has needed refreshing for sometime, and the concept art looks great.
  11. They should have a train station that requires you to pass through a checkpoint lined with Stormtroopers.
  12. "Watching the Detectives"--Elvis Costello
  13. I'm glad that Disney is using the construction of the new Star Wars land as an opportunity to upgrade the Rivers of America. Sure, it's going to take a while, but we're going to get a much-improved Frontierland, too.
  14. Here's how I rank them: The Empire Strikes Back A New Hope The Force Awakens Return of the Jedi Revenge of the Sith Attack of the Clones The Phantom Menace I enjoyed Force Awakens--it was wise to use as many practical effects as possible as opposed to nothing but CGI. The movie felt more "real" than the three "prequels."
  15. I can't work out the "first plane themed roller coaster" claim. Seems to me that there have been a few of those in the past--for example, Bobbejaanland's Air Race (which is now Dream Catcher). Let's not forget the Barnstormer at the Magic Kingdom in Florida.
  16. Sierra Nevada Celebration Yes, it's a "Christmas" brew, but I bought a stray six pack of it at Trader Joe's last weekend.
  17. Maverick--Cedar Point
  18. So sad. He just released a new album, too.
  19. It's always cool to see TRs from places I've never been--cool cars, not matter what they're called.
  20. I will go further and say that this thread is useless.
  21. I usually remove them in phases starting on January 2 or 3: tree, outside lights, Christmas village.
  22. Hmm--I honestly don't know if I've ridden one of these. I've been on those crazy Larson towers, though.
  23. Er, "G" follows "F." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A Let's get back on track. Giant Dipper--Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk
  24. Flounder's Flying Fish Coaster--Tokyo DisneySea
