In fairness, Test Track does the exact same thing and the transition is actually one of the most fun elements of the ride. I think the best part of the ride will be the inside, but the ride's most unique maneuvers look like they will take place outside of the show building underneath the open air canopy. I think it is a pretty great balance of the two, and with the canopy changing color to follow trains as they move underneath, I feel like it could provide a really neat atmospheric effect, much like watching the Columbiad Cannon launch Space Mountain in Disneyland Paris' Tomorrowland.
I think that's a good point. And there's nothing wrong with a ride taking on a different dimension after dark.
