Yes, the park had slipped a bit since my first visit in 2010, but there were signs of improvement here and there. And, hey, you can get "redneck biscuits" . . .

McGavin appeared on X Files, but not as Kolchalk; however, the Kolchak series did help inspire the creation of X Files.

I've always been impressed with all the thought and skill that goes into creating the Gaylord's ICE exhibitions. It looks particularly cool (pun intended) this year.

I enjoyed "The Force Awakens, too--especially how it recaptured the feel of the original trilogy by using more physical sets. Lucas relied on CGI way too much in episodes 1-3.

They used to sell these tickets in books of five in the park, and they were good for any attraction. Mom found them in an old envelope.
Phantasialand is, indeed, unique. I really enjoyed the place back in 2008, and I'm looking forward to visiting again (particularly for Chiapas and Taron). Their Christmas decorations are beautiful.
