What are you most excited for in 2012?
SoCalCoasters replied to Chroniq's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm going to expand my list a bit: Theme Park Related: Since I'll be experiencing all of these next year: Lex Luthor Carsland Transformers Manta Superman Ultimate Flight And a possible return trip to Florida Non Theme park Wise: Turning 16 (driving) Possibly Going to Washington DC with a school course The release of the Wii U (I think that's next year right?) Comic-Con 2012 And a new Season of Doctor Who -
Aaaaaaaaaand I just bought Skyward Sword at Gamestop with one of the several dozen gift cards I recieved for my birthday. The only problem now is... will I finish Twilight Princess before the temptation of Skyward becomes too great? Currently in TP I'm at the Fire Temple (favorite area so far) and just got the first Key Shard, so I'm sure I have a very long way to go. So far my favorite game moment was when you chased the monster who kidnapped one of the kids, and then faced off on the Bridge Of Eldin.

I recall seeing people lined up outside of the Fry's Electronics near us (for those not firiliar with it, it's basically a walmart for everything electronic) and they were going to be offering 24 inch Plasma Screen TVs for like $99 and other insanely low prices. I think Black Friday is just absolutely ridiculous, and seeing as people get KILLED every year because of it, I won't be participating anytime soon...

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
SoCalCoasters replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This ranks up in the "weird" department. Honestly, it's not neccessary dumb persay, just a bit...weird... A comment on a YouTube video I took of Blue Horizons at SWSD: Dolphins: Slayers Of Whales? -
(Okay kill me now) I am officially a bad Wii owner, as today, I bought Twilight Princess and played it for the first time. Yes, the Wii has been out for five years, and I just started playing Twilight Princess today... And Skyward Sword just came out....

This doesn't include reviews posted before right? I've done two so far, and I'll post more soon. http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/park.php?pageid=177 (I didn't give stars by accident for this one, if a MOD could fix it, I was going to put 4.5/5) http://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/park.php?pageid=420 -
The reason I find this "Kingda Ka of the west" rumor so hard to believe is because of the reliability and downtime associated with these giant stratas and massive Intamin cable launchers is quite immense. And seeing as the park already has one somewhat tempremental and extremely popular coaster (X2) I could see a KK-style coaster having very large amounts of problems, especially if it has an actual layout in addition to a strata tower. Once again, I'm speculating, but after seeing Formula Rossa's, Kingda Ka's and Top Thrill's issues, along with the insane amount of money it would cost (upwards of 50-60 mil. most likely?), I just find this massive strata rumor to be about as reliable as a coaster leaking a puddle of steaming hydrualic fluid. (frankly I have no idea where this analogy came from).

I left AC after the mass amounts of complete jerks, and the fact that no one really piad attention to my work at all. Why bother putting in the effort if no one will bother to look at it? -
I think it would be great if they redid Soaring' with the same style of system at Star Tours, with multiple ride programs. Although, I don't think the current projector would allow for such a system. I really want them to keep it California, as it seems like most of the park is going away from the CA theme a bit...

I'd say more of an orangish red paintjob, make is stand out, but still have it complement its surroundings. -
In order to study for our AP World chapter test, I had arranged a chatroom for students and the teacher to use to actively study with each other. Unfortunately, some people, Ones who go to a Catholic Private top ranked high school, think it's funny to abuse privilages, impersonate people, swear under a fake name, and then proceed to make obscene and disgusting sexual remarks pretaining to the people they are impersonating, and post links to sites containing malicious content. Thank you for ruining a great study resource that out teacher was actively GIVING us test answers on to help us! Oh yeah, and it just so happens that I kept a log of every single thing that was said. And I still have the chatroom open. And you're classmates of mine. Oh yeah, and the Dean of students now has a copy of that log, and if it's deemed as being cyber bullying, they'll most likely offer a reward to any information on who it was. And then, I'll find out who you were. And I'll forgive you. I think that would shock them more than anything else. The school can take care of the rest. /endrant

Edit: This is why you look before you leap. (or in this case post) We thought the lines for V2 and Big Spin were bad? I'm not looking forward too seeing how rough the capacity is for this. They'd better have a very good crew, as well as restricting the access of the "I can't wait in line cause I have ADHD" peoples who constantly seem to spam Medusa and V2 front row and such.
