  1. coastercoaster5, if you did go today (no 28th) were the bumper cars finally up and running?
  2. Kinda makes me want to go there for holiday in the park.
  3. They should be. Last time I went the day before vetrans day I walked straight to Superman and the non flash pass line was still blocked by a trash can. So I walked trough the flash pass lane, I was the first one in the line by about a min or so and when I got in there the ride ops practically yelled at me " We're not open yet, get out of the station." despite being after 11 am. they were waiting to get word from park management to start letting people on and whatnot. Could of had the train to myself if they were paying attention. Also I never been there on "Black Friday" but given how many people are out shopping that day and kids are off from school, I'd expect it to be busier then most friday's in the off season. Even the day before vertans day, there was still a somewhat decent amount of people about. Plus just because it's been dead on a certain day in the park in the last 1, 2, 5 years doesn't mean many other's wont be like "hey, lets head to the park today."
  4. No, lots of people who go have season passes and its 1 hour early for all pass holders 2014 and 2015. from the latest news letter: "Season Pass Holder Early Entry Join us for our Season Pass Holder Appreciation Days and receive exclusive access to the park. Each operating day from November 28 through December 23, Pass Holders will have the entire park to themselves for an hour before the park opens to the general public. Flash your 2014 or 2015 Season Pass or Membership to enter the park one hour early. Youll be the first to enjoy your favorite rides and all our seasonal attractions."
  5. It depends on how much you plan to use your cup. It's all down to cost. If you're only going to get one or two drinks that day, the 99 cent refills would be better. If it's a really hot day and you plan to drink a lot, get the wristband. I've gotten the wristbands many times at various Six Flags parks, and I've always gotten my money's worth. in 2015 when I finally have to pay for refills, im just going to get them when I get my season pass meals. Plus given how warm/hot it can get in the summer it's a better idea to drink water and i don't mind the taste of the water fountains.
  6. Sometimes I'm amazed what the ride ops dont notice, or maybe pretend not to because they don't want to deal with it. Thats pretty ballsy of the guy to try and "sneak" a chest harness onto the ride. Where in the world was he hiding it while getting into the train and being checked? It was outside of all of his clothing. I saw the straps on his back and I saw GoPro's logo on it spelled out clear as day. I wish the ride OP's would of pretended it didn't happen but the controller of the ride told him to pocket it. The camera is really tiny for the image quality they provide and he was just holding it in his pocket or hand until he sat down. The things have less mass then my 3DS:XL and maybe a little bit more then my "dumb phone". I couldn't tell how it was going to secure to the chest mount but I had faith that the guy knows what he's doing with it. It's not like he was decked out but he easily had a plan.
  7. Screampunk, yeah they missed out on it there. Maybe they'll at least re-theme the station and put a lot of old gears around the pilings of scream for 2016.
  8. Grizzly at CGA. Better to tear it out and put something line a wing rider coaster there.
  9. A winged coaster would be pretty nice at CGA. I'd for sure finally come back for that in 2016/2017.
  10. Coaster rider/whore. I do like to know the heights, speeds and elements of the ride but not like "Well they designed it like this because, blah blah blah".
  11. Yep, I wouldn't of gone to any open theme park yesterday. I ended up going to the mall in Sacramento and even it was pretty packed though I was fully prepared for that.
  12. 1.Streaming 2.Netflix. 3. None. 4. Roku 5. A lot. I prefer 7 min or shorter videos compared to full length stuff.
  13. I went to the park today on 11/10/2014, crowds were pretty light, possibly lightest I've seen on my trips in 2014. 1. Bumper Cars weren't open, fright fest wall's were still up. 2. Veterans/Active Duty service members and their parties (friends/family) get wristbands that grant double rides on oasis plaza. Nov 8-11th. I didn't tell my dad about this but he did end up bringing his proof of being in the Navy for vietnam, so I ended up riding medusa twice in a row without getting off and that was it for me for inversions really. 3. Ended up running into and talking to the park manager in Studio 6F store. She ended up saying SFDK is going to do a offer at the start of next year, like 40 dollar value for 20 dollars. apparently vouchers for a Carmel apple, cotton candy (or that type of fare) and buying it increases your season pass to a level above even gold. Giving you 20% off any purchases of 15 dollars or higher (before tax). She said I should keep my eye out for it. Not sure if it makes the pass give anything other then a extra 5% discount though. I also think she said it was a add-on to the season dining pass, which would make sense I suppose.
  14. I don't understand why SFMM does not post this schedule on their website? Their lunch/dinner hours (even general information) does not show up on their site! Fright Fest (fri/sat) closed at 1am, were you able to still get dinner at 10:30pm? All of this important information I would think, for people who have a dining pass :/ i think the latest I saw dinner end at frightfest was like 8:30 pm. I only went on sundays too so it was like 9 PM closing times. Either way if you get there before 1 pm, you should get both meals.
  15. 2015 passes no longer have photos, it's a finger print scan now. At SFDK there's no finger print scanners at the food vendors and they don't ask for a ID to check the name written down on the pass. Do they at least read the hand-written name on the Season Pass ID? If I had my BF wait in line to get my dinner, instead of myself, would that be an issue? Nope they just scan the barcode, though even if they do read the name they never asked for ID yet. However, I'll probably never not go to SFDK because even on busy as hell days I could still see the animals and shows.

  17. normally it ends 2 and half-4 hours after "dinner" starts but the times are fincky and will vary every week or at least every month due to odd park hours for the "off season". During fright fest dinner times for me ended about 2 and a half hours before the park closed. Anyways the park should be handing out schedules of when lunch and dinner starts and ends, don't be shy to ask guest relations about the season dining passes.
  18. I got one for SFDK. Hours vary, over here they are printed on the bottom of show schedules. Which are in with the general park map stand('s). As for meals, they take my season pass and scan the barcode or enter the ID number. The never asked for ID or finger print scan. They are worth it if you go 5 times and get both meals, though I rarely finish all of my food since I rarely eat a lot at once. 4 chicken strips and like 45 meh tasting french fries is pretty filling.
  19. Will be nice to finally see what the official theme of it will be or lack thereof.
  20. So far the most overrated I've been on, X2. I do like the drop and the raven turns but the seats turning is bleh and jarring. I think the updates to make it into X2 made it better, but if I had to wait a hour in either line I''d pick Tatsu or Goliath over it.
  21. I didn't even fully believe about Terminator/apocalypse valleying. I've ridden on Scream a few times and Medusa many times and I've seen/heard restraints feel lose but not ever failing. Anyways asides from the lifthill looking near fully repaired, what else changed on TC's ride layout? The pictures posted I can only see a difference on the lift hill. ::Edit:: oh, I see they removed a large section of the first hill. Not a massive change IMHO but progress. Hope it's very different come the middle of December or January.
