  1. Going down into LA from SFMM is always the scariest ride of the day for me, a lot of people just seem to zoom down the tjon pass or whatever it's called like its nothing.
  2. Markey for President! (seriously, only kidding, he might mandate body armor anytime you leave your house!) No, because remember to him ONLY Roller Coasters are dangerous. Nothing else...just thrill rides! He probably wouldn't even require that we wear seat belts in cars! So, based on his comments, he's for increased oversight of amusement parks, but less oversight of baby strollers. What does he have against babies? on HLN After Dark I was wondering why they were comparing rollercoaster safety to stroller safety. Isn't it clear that folding strollers with many moving parts are kinda dangerous since the occupant is a infant or toddler. Who's also more then likely not able to climb out in case of some horrible accident, such as strollers that have rolled off subway and train platforms. Clearly there should be more oversight to that then a rollercoaster that's designed by professionals. With the way strollers have progressed at some point they are going to be able to collapse in so far they'll produce a black hole.
  3. To answer your question, not all states regulate amusement parks. Texas obviously being one of those. The question is, do you really think government oversight, even at the state level, would make amusement rides any safer? I think not. With the TSA NTSB and whatever dozens of organizations the government has to maintain safety in transportation, government sticking noses into rollercoaster designs will more then likely make coasters worse and no more safer then they are now. Even on HLN they said carnivals and Fair rides are subject to federal inspections or whatever and those seem to injury more then SF, Disney or Cedar Fair rides do.
  4. Would you rather die or not be able to ride a roller coaster?!? There is no discrimination IMO. Safety comes first. And unfortunately is just is not impossible to design a ride that can handle riders of all sizes. Suicide by Rollercoaster, at least go out having fun. Huge dickhead move to anyone else still waiting in line though as well as following days or weeks.
  5. is this the video? they show like a 1-2 second clip from a TPR source.
  6. Erik, I would get on but theres really no point to. We can't buy songs from K.K. Slider in my town since the store is closed for re-modeling. <_> Well I still got 1+ million bells in the bank so last night I cleared my storage out only leaving room for non-orderable items and full kiddie furnisher set. long story short I'll be buying 1 million bells worth of turnips and find someone online who has a re-tail buying them for anywhere around 400-500.
  7. This is what happened for me yesterday. I put all my bells into turnips on sunday, tuesday came and 463 bells a piece. on my 2nd trip I got 250,000 so a little less then a million. Then over on gamefaqs I let people come in to sell their turnips and got a extra 1.5 million in tips.
  8. I got pears, I added you but either you haven't added me or one of us inputted the FC's wrong. You're is 1521-3326-5647 right? I know mine is right since at least 4 other TPR members added me.
  9. The" new guy" is a woman - The Ice Queen aka Bonnie Rabjon. I may have spelled her name incorrectly, but the got the "Ice Queen" correct. When I finally used my VIP tour my party and our guide were walking to ride Scream first. I asked the guide if the park manager was there (out of curiosity) and shes like "Oh we just passed her." I just found it weird she wouldn't at least say hi to the two VIP groups that were there. (saw a second VIP group going on Batman.)
  10. If you change your wifi's SSID name to "Bestbuy" you can download the Bestbuy exclusive DLC. Not exclusive anymore. heres my source.
  11. The island stuff grows back as far as I know. So it's not permanently destroyed/wrecked. In my view its not a glitch or cheat. Its using the games own mechanics to find the single most profitable task. To me it's the same thing with IV's and EV's in the main pokemon games. They determine what stats your pokemon will have which could make or break a battle. It's nearly hidden code but it's a staple game mechanic to promote higher randomization. I get that not everyone would do this and I understand why. Doing so just helps unlock everything that much faster, going fast isn't what animal crossing is about its the journey. No, I get it. Trust me, I worked right along side game designers and programmers for 20+ years so I understand what you're talking about. (Although I will say that most designers will tell you that cutting down all the trees to remove spawners and waiting for a specific object to appear is somewhat cheating the system.) Anyway, all I was trying to say is that I went to the island, spent about 25 minutes fishing, and not doing anything out of the ordinary I collected nearly 90,000 bells only throwing back Sea Bass. And that was even being down 6 fish I could sell because I needed to give them to Blathers. A good game designer will have created plenty of opportunity for you to advance in the game without needing an exploit. But I "get" the people will do it, so whatever... Well I found out you physically have to replant the things in the middle of the island. So you have to wait for the island shop to sell trees, flowers and bushes for medals. So they don't respawn naturally. The price you pay for it.
  12. Which tours did ou find best? I kept on playing th e butterfly and then the bug one, but it seemed to only rotate between 4 fruits. I agree, the island is awesome. I paid off my bridge and second house expansion in one day! I don't know if I ever visited your town, but anyone I visited who had a public works projected I've chipped in a 1-6k bells.

  14. I used this method to make 80,000 bells in one trip to the island. tumblr.nettosgameroom.com/post/53059980189/animal-crossing-new-leaf-very-easy-and-fast-money I've paid off everything I could so far and still have 80,000+ bells.
  15. I've never been discconected myself. Were you far from your wireless access point?
  16. I only lost the island stuff. Is there not a way for the mayor to save before getting on the boat? Not that I'm aware of.
  17. Everything I got on the island was lost. moray Eel, 2 saw sharks and 1 sea grapes.
  18. I got a ton of cherries to trade off or give away. Also some bananas, lemons and durains. My gates are open and I think I've added all but the last one or two people to post their Friend Codes. Currently 12:20 PM PST on 6/16. I'll have then open for at least a hour. Update: Richard just left me some peaches so I planted 4 of those by my town hall. Update 2: closing the gate and heading off to the island to see if theres any fruit and to catch bugs/fish. 128,000 is high for a bridge. <_>
  19. Best Buy is giving away exclusive DLC via Nintendo Zone staring tomorrow, 4 different items each available fore 2 weeks. Simply go to a best buy that has Nintendo zone and click on the Nintendo Zone icon from the home screen. Its a "i" with wireless signal coming out of the dot. Here's a link to find Nintendo Zone hotspots (and pictures of the 4 items along with their release/end dates) but it needs to be a Best Buy. www.nintendo.com/3ds/nintendozone As far as I know this will be the only way to obtain the items. my town update: I paid off the 98,000 home loan (2nd home loan after down payment). I've planted Bannanna's and peaches in my town but only 2 of each. There's a perfect cherry tree in front of my house, but you can't grow any perfect fruit other then your own. So for example I can only grow Perfect Cherries. The boat to the island will be at my dock tomorrow. and I won my bug contest and got 2 prizes (not counting gold trophy.)
  20. resse is likely my most favorite iconic. But Twix and snickers are awesome as well. Not to mention peanut M&M's.
  21. For me it was 5 dollars cheaper then on the Eshop, plus Nintendo doesn't have a account system like my Steam or PSN accounts. On those if my hardware is stolen, damaged, lost I could still play my games in the future. Of course I heard the AC:NL gamecard is linked with your 3DS system. Meaning if there's a mismatch between saves from the card and system then it only gives you the option to delete all data and completely reset. So apparently if you lose your 3DS you're screwed anyway.
  22. I bought two of them, why? I'm still trying to decide weather or not to get the 3DS XL bundle, or buy a 3DS and a copy of AC:NL. Is the Larger Screen, and Longer Battery Life worth the extra $$$? Its not just a bigger battery pack and larger screen. The select, home and start buttons are real buttons on the XL. On the normal 3DS it's pretty much stickers and you have to press them hard to activate them. It's also very easy to make dents in them. The XL is certainly worth it I think. Plus its only 30 dollars more? Also the normal 3DS has a issue of the bottom screen touching the top screen when closed which does "minor" cosmetic damage to the top screen. The XL has rubber standoffs to prevent this. I can easily see light between the screens on my XL so it shouldn't be a issue at all on XL.
  23. I knew there was something off about this game. Update: Paid off the first loan from Tom Nook. Got about 75% villager approval rate. Totally failed at hitting the money rock today, got 300 bells rather then 1000+. Also if a Villager asks for any type of Cicada they don't come out until July. But a Lantern Fly count as Cicada's apparently.
  24. I'm in nearly the same boat as you. I found this Wiki on the game helpful. AC: New Leaf Public Works Projects
  25. I finally got my copy this morning. Still need 7,000 more bells to get my home. (And Tom Nook isn't a villain?) Fire2box Name: fire2box Friend Code: 2208-5221-4039 AC Name: Tim City: Diddo Fruit: Cherries Edit: Got enough for the down payment and fished enough for the ID card from the photo booth. Now what do I do? I kinda want to get the LOL club open by Saturday night since I heard one of the villagers does comedy then.
