Well my plans were to go a week if not more after the ride opens and hopefully superman reopens. Of course the bad news is my friend doesn't know anyone to cover for his paper route in the morning and was gullible enough to even post a ad on craigslist. I askedhim, how would he know a random person would of even delivered the papers at all if he wasn't there to check? I've told him to check with his boss but considering he didn't even do that I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't. Now he's also referring scrimmage basketball games for like middle schoolers. 4 VIP passes and the only friend I like is drowned in work. Well I got another friend, but he's a bit to big to go on many rides.

Wasn't there some california law mentioned way back in this topic that any ride that has inversions has to have OTSR's if it gets new trains or is modified? Or was that fake or just not apply to Six Flags and other bigger parks? This has been covered so many times I forget exactly but I believe it's a MM thing, mainly to keep insurance costs down. Ahhh, okay thanks. I'm just a step or a few ahead of GP at best it seems.

I don't have a strategy to avoid crowds unless I walk over by the vet/nursery area. But theres' not really any rides over there, but it's a nice place to get some relaxation. Well for me Roar and Kong always have a slow moving line. Last i've been there was the 2010 season though so hopefully Roar has two trains going on. As for Kong I don't really recommend it but it is the only SLC in the park, however I can hardly tell what section of the track i'm on since it goes so fast trough all it's elements. Medusa's line have pretty much always been quick for me as have V2's.

I like this idea especially if they race them in that setup. Of course it going backwards is the only reason I've always wanted to go to SFMM in frightfest. But I assume having a higher rideship year round is better then just increased flow on Fright Fest. Plus I can't see them tearing it down and even less of a chance shipping the whole thing somewhere else. Isn't the ride a California landmark or something yet?

Be careful. You mentioned that it was straight and boring, so you definitely don't want to fall asleep! Make sure to entertain yourself with music, games, or just talking to your friend to keep yourself alert and awake. Oh... And have a Six Flags day too! Oh, i'm still a pretty new driver who's still overcoming a fear of other drivers so that alone will keep me focused. Plus with I-5 it's straight and so are the roads So it's not exactly hard to drive for anyone. The main thing is just keeping a constant steady speed and avoid temptation into speeding. One of the last times I was fine with my dad speeding at about 80 MPH and we made it from LA to Stockton within like 6 hours or something which was our best time between the two ever. My friend also said he wants to be the one driving the grapevine hills, which I agree with. But once into Bakersfield and Patterson, I should be fine driving that stretch. Also about the wristband comments. I was referring to the lockers, not flashpash. I think SFMM could go either way with physical key's or RFID's for their all day storage systems. Possibly for the same reason motel's use keycards now.

The thing i'm concerned about is we'll be taking turns driving to catch some sleep and if it would be legal for him to sleep. Doubt it would be. I know we can both get money for staying at motel's in the area but he delivers papers every morning so he has to find a person to fill in for him. So he'd want to get back home ASAP and with us being at MM for two days, ugh. I assume we could leave Thursday afternoon, catch some sleep at a rest area then head to the park friday morning. On the way back catch some sleep at a rest stop after staturday and drive back and get back sunday morning/early afternoon.

The western or LA dog looks good, and I never had a deep fried snickers bar yet. Right now I plan on going to SFMM to finally use my VIP passes a week or two after the tower drop opens. Talked it over with SF before and they said it's fine if I split them 2 each among me and a friend. Now that I can finally drive (permit, for now.) me and him can take turns driving down I-5 to the park which isn't hard at all. Practically a straight, boring highway.

Child Flies Off Techno Jump in Texas
Fire2box replied to printersdevil78's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The girl wast starting to fall out and the ride makes a very near to full revolution before she finally get's ejected. There was clearly a number of things that could of been done to prevent this from ever happening. the mom staying on the ride the mom and/or Ride OP realizing her girl can easily slip out the ride OP paying attention to the rides occupants to see if they are in any sort of distress. Seems like they can all easily be accountable and short of having a 5 point harness system, I don't think the girl would of been alright on the ride at all. ::my two cents:: -
can't really say i'm sad to see "big spin" (pandemonium) go. the lines were always long and when I finally went on it at least one person was forced to stash their bags. Of course she complained about it which held up the line and stacked the 4-5 cars running the track. which they never really recovered from. of course, with the new ride it's only going to be one train so at least stacking won't be a issue. Still though low capacity rides can be insane sometimes. But somehow V2 makes it work, but it always seems to have low, low lines.

If it''s anything like SFDK they never do, considering mazes are upcharge events. I never saw more then 35% of SFDK attendance have maze wristbands. However I never been to fright fest at SFMM and am actively trying to attend this year with my friend. But he's said it's looking unlikely he can go due to football referring jobs in High school and peewee leagues, which he'll likely do again next year. If we're going to use the VIP passes I won, then i'm pushing for Fright Fest since the water park is now closed. (Will be, before we get a chance to get to SFMM anyway.)

I like how a person who posted a picture of the woman. She's holding a bottle of Smart water, I don't think it's really doing the job. On other news. Still completely unsure whats going to happen with me and my VIP tickets. I don't really want to wait till next season and I would like to go to fright fest. But coordinating with both my dad (who won't even go on anything) and my friend seems to be a freaking impossibility. Plus even then I still got a extra VIP ticket and so far SF hasn't confirmed if I could split them up.

My last ride on Kong (in 2010 season) was okay. But the coaster seems really compacted to where you can't enjoy the elements without being thrown right into the next one. My favorite part isn't loops, spins, etc. It's when you encounter foot choopers. I always stiffen my leg's/feet on Kong, always. Anyways let's hope they get the new trains soon. Otherwise it s Muedusa, V2, Roar and Bumper Cars for me. I LOVE the bumper cars there. Drive about 1 and a half hours from Stockton, first ride is driving smaller cars.

Most Complicated Restraints
Fire2box replied to tribar's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So far X2 had the most odd loading/restraint I've been on. Even standing at the gates last year and watching the loading/unloading I still needed help from a attendent to figure out how the restraint system should be lowered. Tatsu was odd belt it felt extremely nice. I have a somewhat intense fear of heights but tatsu made me feel 100% safe. Plus as long as it only derails after pretzel loop, it's pretty much worth it even if you die. -
jeez, I really need to go this year. I din't ride it (Deja Vu) last summer at all. Time to press Six Flags into seeing if I can use 2 VIP tickets then use the other 2 for next season. If not I'll be forced into taking people I honestly don't like or even possibly know. But for sure im not going to New England anytime soon as my only friend from that region left this year. Well, time to start researching for hopefully something this time around.

Just wondering, what was the context of this? It's worded a little oddly in that it could mean, don't talk about SFM because we want the rumor to stop, or, don't talk about SFM Mexico because we're upset we have to give them our newest coaster. With the motion simulator..how big is the building? Didn't SFGADv completely gut out their 3D theater, I believe, for the promised 5D attraction? Could that be heading to SFDK instead? The buliding is pretty big and im guessing it had around at least 75 seats or more. There were only like 4 rows but each row had at least 20 seats. However I haven't been in there in years not since I think 2006. Anyways I just want a 3D motion ride again, or something to be done with that plot of land. (I always liked 7th portal when it was at CGA. Though something new would be better. Just don't let it be as bad as Stargate was.

Well it seems extremely unlikely I won't be able to go to SFMM this weekend which was what I've been planing for months now. The problem is I have no one but me and my friend to take. I am guessing SFMM wants me to use all four VIP tickets at once, which I can understand. So, maybe I'll be able to use them during a "long" day at FrightFest. If not, they'll just be set back for last summer as a last ditch option. As I have to use them before the end of 2012. So once again i'm just frustrated on why it's seemingly so hard to get friends to go to SFMM with front of the line passes ALL DAY and then free food. Seriously, WTF? Anyways my two cent's on the deja vu rumor is. They can take it and viper out and build a coaster between the two. I forgot if there's a hill between the two locations but I know the rapids ride is in between them. However I'll admit this is unlikely. Why take out two okay if not good coasters only to replace it with one, losing money in the process. In any case I hope nothing happens to Viper or Deja Vu since I've rode neither yet.
