Considering there's really no 3DS game I really want until X/Y. I ordered a copy from amazon last night. I've never owned a AC game before but I did play some of it on Gamecube. I liked that one from what I've played but I still don't really know what I'm getting into.

If it's that girl with the dirty blonde hair and the surfer talk vibe, she was hella funny, definitely made time fly when were in line for V2 over the summer! "If you like this ride my name is Kaley and this is V2, if not my name is Keisha and this Kong" lol I remember back in 2010's season my friend wanted to ride on Kong and I told him it's not worth the beating or something. While waiting in a 25 min line or longer the ride OP sarcastically said something along the lines of "Why are all of you waiting to ride Kong? It's horrible. Medusa has a short line right now."

Well im back from my trip to the LA area on saturday the 8th me, my dad, his cousin and his son (my 2nd cousin) *finally* used my VIP passes at SFMM. We drove out of the LA area at like 8;300 and got to the park at 9:20, found the VIP spaces right outside of the ticket booths and waited till 10:20 for our VIP tour guide Joanna (I think.) So she met us in front of will call 10 mins or so before the gates opened and from there we went to. (Note: my dad never went on any ride but the bumper cars and all rides were front seats, no waiting in line.) Goliath which we rode twice in a row without getting off, Lex luther which again we rode twice, Scream once for me, twice for my extended family, colossus once for me, twice for extended family. We then stopped at Ben and Jerrys by colossus/scream where everything was free of charge for us. (Unlimited snacks FTW!) It was then off to Batman which I didn't go on extended family rode twice, Riddler which they rode twice then off to a free lunch at moose burger lodge. After lunch we headed back to where we left off, with me grabbing a extra ride on Lex and the parks poor garlic fries (horrible, seemed like they used garlic powder on it!) After that we took a spin on Green Lantern once for me after being castrated by it and only 1 flip. Again extended family, went on it twice. Off to Apocalypse where I finally ride it twice as well as Superman:EFK. Then Tatsu which we rode once, extended family went twice on Viper and Rev. me and the tour guide told them they aren't good and they are shakey headbangers. Then finally X2 which we rode once in front. We got on ride photos on all the rides that took photo's at least when I got on. I'll scan them soonish and upload them, look freaking retarded on Goliath. and well over 100+ dollars in food not to mention the free photos. All in all even in early dec using VIP (free due to a sweepstake) was well worth it. The crowds didn't seem that massive as summertime ones but some kids had to wait 25 mins for superman when we just walked on to the next train in the front. Its not worth the 299.99 per VIP pass IMHO unless its summer, on a long day and you rarely go to SFMM. TLDR. Ride total for the group. Goliath twice Lex 3 times. scream twice collsus twice Batman twice riddler twice bumper cars (sandblasters) 1 Apocalypse twice S:EFK twice Rev twice Viper twice Tatsu once X2 once I'm the one in the A's shirt, looking stupid. <_> the two in front are my dad's cousin and my 2nd cousin who was barely tall enough to ride everything at the park.

Coolest station you've seen
Fire2box replied to Eric_Smith's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
not sure if Terminator Salvation would count as it wasn't the station itself and its no longer terminator. But I liked the theme of it the video's sucked though. -
I'll make this post to the point. I still haven't used my 4 VIP passes I won from the state farm contest in 2010 to either go to SFDK or SFMM. This has been nothing but a logistical nightmare for two years now and it's been clear my best friend can't even go at all and I missed the chance to use them during summer. So long story short I'm using them on Dec 8th at Magic Mountain for sure. My dad's cousin and his son might come with us to the park to round off the 3rd and 4th pass, frankly I don't even care I haven't been to a theme park since before nov 2010 now. I'm just hoping X2, tatsu, Goliath (which I never rode yet), Lex and Superman will be open. I know the water rides will likely be shut down but meh to those anyhow.

I'd joke about the YOLO actully meaning You only Lose Once. But come on, we all know SFMM will lose again, and again and again. Tatsu and X's refurb were the last great coasters to be put in SFMM if I know the recent history well enough. And even then Tatsu has that ability to trick you into thinking there's something after that awesome pretzel loop, then your shoved back into the station. Either way this is a great time for Knott's to add something better then FT.

My dad went to Knott's Berry Farm in 2009 since the extended family in long beach, and whatever other city of LA thought it would be fun. sadly I didn't go since I felt rather sick and I barely know my extended family there. So since then multiple times KBF has been brought up in discussion and he *always* says xecellerator was a upcharge ride, he even said the same thing about pony express at one point. i kept telling him over and over their not upcharge rides and tonight I just found out the upcharge ride he's talking about. The skyhawk ride. Finally I can put his stupidity to rest.

It's still there as far as I known, but i went in the 2010 season and haven't been back since. Though in 2010, they made it a fright fest path, at least the path outside the building. it ended out by the Exit of the theather. Anyways it was Dinosphere once and had a robotic T-rex head over the side of the tall wodden fence/wall. The last ride i went on was in the 2006 or 2007 season and it was some lame 2D Stargate ride, and I like Stargate.

Yeah, Chabot stadium. I just miss the days when there was some kind of show in that stadium. I do expect to see SFDK keep Pacific Stadium, because like you said, they can move another show there. I do appreciate that most of the Marine World Africa USA stuff still exists. Hopefully they will announce something on August 30. More then the ski show, I miss the action arena where odin's tiger temple/show is now. That was likely over a decade ago now and I don't think it would be legal to have the tiger's or any animal on a stage hiding flame throwers. the show kinda seemed like a rip on Indiana Jones, but it was enjoyable. Also, do they even do elephant shows anymore after the oldest elephant died? She was the only one I ever saw them use.

I hope Shouka has a better time at sea world, kinda sucks the move had to happen in mid season though. Really wondering what they'll do with that huge stadium now. I wounder if they could move the seal show to it. Unless.... They are going to train sharks and attach laser beams to their forhead's!!!

those ads have been there for a really long time i'm surprised they're still there! why else would supports be there, for decoration? lol Kinda wish they could re-theme Apocalypse to Falling Skies. The people in that show move trough tunnels a lot anyway, right? Ain't going to happen I know. Somewhat surprised the show got renewed for it's 2nd season too.

Scream is a mirror image of Medusa AFIK. So I wouldn't call it impossible for SFMM to get a clone of Superman :UF one day. But with the track record of that space, S:UF will be gone in maybe 3-4 years at most and it would make sense just to ship it down I-5 to SFMM. Also while being one of a kind ride, it still looks plenty boring. Though who knows, I love V2 every time I ride it and it's pretty much half it's former self. Also congrats on this topic hitting 2500 pages. Now how much of it has been debate/bitching?

The worst one I've seen even worse then scream was when Greased Lighting was up and running at Paramounts Great America (now CGA under cedar fair). When I went on it, it was well hidden behind the action motion theaters. I think me and my friends had to go trough a arcade to get to it as well. All I know is that visually it was well obstructed but during that time it was practically a walk on ride. Once me and friends rode it 3 times without getting out of the cars at all. Did the same thing on Grizzly once somehow. ::note:: I assume the action theaters were put up after greased lighting rather then paramount putting a coaster where it's blocked from nearly every view.

I had a nightmare last night about seeing a announcement that the drop ride wouldn't be open until July 18th. Not sure why that scared me since I plan on going after it opens and likely at the end of July. But seeing as they are testing now, hopefully it will open sooner then the 18th. Also it looks full of pant pissing .
-
I plan on going before the end of july with my VIP passes with or without my friend. I've been trying to get him to go before Deja Vu was even removed but whatever. I'll very likely be going july 27th or july 28th and since the VIP passes include backstage tour I can easily just write down questions people want answered. I'm already going to ask how tall the drop actually is, how fast it cand/will go, etc.

Hidden/Secluded Park Areas
Fire2box replied to coastercrazy 9's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
At Six Flags Discovery Kingdom the vet/nursery on the far right of the park was always kinda barre of people in the 2010 season even with like month tiger cubs on display. There were still people but mostly families and not many, if any teenagers.
