Riders per Hour
Fire2box replied to CorkscrewFoley's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It might not make a significant difference in riders per hour but it makes a huge difference if you are the single rider! Which I am for the most part. Out of like the 10 rides I did at SFMM my dad's girlfriend wne ton Terminator with me, Superman and.. well that's it. She didn't even go on collsus even after I told her the ride is smooth. So later on I was a single rider standing in line for at least a hour in both riddler and X2. Though X2 wasn't moving for a while. Plus when me and her went on tatsu together, the 2 seats next to us were still open. But yeah single rider's line do nothing for groups who want to ride together, and SFMM taking the single rider lines off ridder likely spured single riders to invest in flash pass for 30 dollars. So honestly Six Flags kind of sucks in that perspective. Put me in any row if I am a single rider, I honestly don't care. But I'd like the right to complain if every train has 4 seats open throughout the whole day. -
Don't they let the fast pass users on in groups? Like say there's 50 fast pass users in the fast pass line for a ride. They let a train fill with flash pass users, then they let the next train be general public. Or at least something to that effect. Also if not, shouldn't they offer flash pass holders change to a diffrent ride. Like say if your in line for Riddler, but SFMM let's you change your thing for tatsu, but you don't have to wait. But rather just walk over to it. Anyway's if people want in front of the line so badly on new riders, they could cough up the 299.99 for the VIP tickets which grant front of line access all day some free food... and apparently a private hut or something in the water park. Though yeah I'll admit that's a lot. 299.99 per person.. good god.

Riders per Hour

I'm thinking that every park should have a single rider line for thewre coasters. How many times have people watched coasters in line and spot like 3-9 empty seats? On Roar at SFDK I stood in line for nearly a hour and rode by myself on the very front since my dad didn't want to ride. Medusa (Also SFDK) is okay at least since it's a high capacity coaster and had the best crew for the 2010 season IMHO. But rides like kong and roar where there's a max of 24 seat's with lines longer then 200+, it's horrible for single riders. "Oh look a empty seat. I could actually be riding right now." -

You could go to wal-mart, wallgreens, etc and persuace a greendot card. Which is a pre-paid credit card. However they cost like 4.95 to activate and have monthly charges if you have money on the card still. In which they'll take it out of the cards account. You can also use these pre-paid cards with paypal. I wouldn't recommend that unless you really need it though. Moneyorder's also have a surcharge but no where near as bad as the pre-paid credit cards. Anyways I have a feeling Robb won't let people pay with checks/money orders since they are slow and their easy to scam. Unlike Paypal. Honestly Paypal is the safest way i've seen to pay for goods online. Not only for the buyer but the seller as well. -
If CGA can get a maverick clone that would be pretty good. Not to mention SFDK won't be able to top the height at all due to height restriction's on it's land. But honestly if CGA puts a flat ride or two in there, it won't change my plans of not going there. Honestly I been wanting to go to Santa Cruze Beach Boardwalk and that's further away then CGA.

MMM.. this looks tempting for a person like me who can't attend the trips (so far). Plus it will let me standout for other member's when I attend parks. Plus branded shirt's seem to cost at least 20 dollars from every site I've been to. I am totally tempted. -
a ride thats attached to a 400+ foot structure which is cool and all, but it's been eclipsed, surpassed, etc. We all know it's the reason they wanted to re-theme it and launch it backwards. However, I would have pissed myself at least a little if I didn't use the restroom directly before walking onto it.

Mudusa would look pretty good then actully beening on land rather then what used to be staff and or pickup parking lot. Scream got negtive reviews for being a parking lot coaster, but mudusa doesn't. But that might be since Medusa was the only good steal coaster for a time. Not to mention it's a 8 min walk to Roar or V2. But seriously mudusa with some kind of plant life would be good, maybe it can get some snake theme too.

I saw two of the show's over the 2010 season and the elephant was considerably old. I'm wondering if one of the other elephants will take it's place or if they will just be used for viewing/riding. Though all this season, elephant riding was closed whenever I walked by it asides for maybe 3 out of the 7 or 8 days I went.

For the bumper car's they can remove the old ones and put newer faster ones in. The one's at SFDK are about twice as fast as the ones at SFMM. When I go on bumper car's I expect them to be slightly faster then a brisk walking speed which SFMM's didn't feel like at all. I've never been so disappointed by bumper car's in my life though.

I assume you mean hanging out with other coaster/theme park fanatics, playing games like don't spill water on Tony Hawk's Big spin, having coustom audio thats never played for general public on rides that have onboard audio systems, being the first to ride Superman The Escape backwards and being some of the very few people in the world to actully get a good tour of SFMM. It seems like a amazing deal to me. If anyone complains about the price while attending WCB, just send them to wait on/by the bus.

VIP ticket's cost 299.99 at SFMM. www.sixflags.com/magicMountain/tickets/viptours.aspx which includes: Front of the line access all day, every ride. (No getting off then getting right back on the same ride. Not like there's a huge point to at SFMM.) Private guided tour. I'm not sure what this entails or how it differs from WCB's tour. I won't make it to WCB this year, but I did win a package of 4 VIP tickets to either SFMM or SFDK. (choices, choices, choices. LMAO.) So I'll get some video/pictures of that experience won't be going until all the rides are confirmed open. But i'm kind of betting Rob already experienced both and could tell us the difference if he has. That said, WCB is well worth it to anyone within 100 or so miles of SFMM.

I assume there are people on here more addictied to them parks/roller coasters here then myself. So since i've had about 10 dreams about rollercoaster's since my first Magic Mountain visit's in 2010, I figure most of you would have interesting dreams you might like to share. Most of my dreams have been nightmares like harnesses coming lose, flying out of rollercoasters, etc. The one I recall the most was I was riding a roller coaster much like Batman, topgun/flight Deck, Sliver Bullet. Like topgun/flight deck at CGA (California's Great America) one section of the ride swoops down over a decent sized lake with clam water. At this moment me and the other 3 riders harnesses all open and we are sent crashing into the water. None of us were hurt at all despite being thrown into water at maybe 55 MPH. We make the most out of it just swimming and splashing around until a boat crew came to get us since somehow we were in the center of the lake. I can't remember much from there other then it was a pretty awesome dream and/or nightmare.
