I think I heard some aren't that thrilled with Fury 325. A Giga coaster would be nice for sure, but giga doesn't automatically mean it's going to be the next top steel of coaster polls/awards or worth the hype. TC, Super Man, X2, YOLO, Tatsu and Golath are enough for me. Then we still got 4 coasters that would be the headline at a hand ful of other parks. Medusa and Scream are the same experience for me and Scream never had much of a line. Meanwhile at SFDK a simular experince can be up to a 40 min wait on bad days. so to me, any new rides magic mountain wants to do is fine. I'd much prefer a dark ride at one or both Six Flags here in California. Then 1 or 2 years later do a Giga.

I'd rather have them take Viper out and build a ultra long coaster that takes its foot print goes over the rapids ride and where Deja Vu was. I don't know how logical or practical this is, but I think it could fit something the size/length of Fury 325. However every ride can't be on the extreme end of the scale either and for now I think theres a solid mix of everything asides kiddie/family rides.

I don't think that's a law, I think it's just Discovery Kingdom policy. At Magic Mountain they do inspect bags. They even have a "No Bags/Express" line on busy days. Maybe, I've tried to google it and I couldn't find anything. I know when I went to a Baltimore @ A's game last year they checked the girl's pursues. Maybe the guy just didn't feel like checking my bag and mostly correctly assumed it was just clothes. Park was only open for another 2 or 3 hours at that point. A tad bit concerning either way but not enough to make me question my safety in the park. (It's Magic Mountain that gets the mad bomber anyways, right?)

Wasn't that in 2014? Shortly after it happened they trimmed em. Now like a few days/week after they cut down the remaining trees near TC they seemingly remove all of them anywhere close to Ninja. Yeah I believe it may have been in August...? It was very recently, certainly in 2014. It was. I don't know why people are complaining again, this is old news. But after all this is the SFMM thread. Trimming the trees and completly removing them are two different things. As far as I heard before that new photo the tree's had some of their branches trimmed off, ones that could potential fall onto the track. Now the hill is just barren.

I forgot to mention, when I was there yesterday I rode Water Water twice. After I go back out to my dad's pickup to get my backpack that had a nearly full set of my clothes and a oversized beach towel. Well I get to security no ones behind me waiting and I already have most of the pockets open so the guard's can inspect it fully. The guard says he legally can't inspect the inside of this huge ass backpack that's just filled with clothing (socks, pants, shirt) and two phone chargers that I forgot to take out. Just kinda seems weird SFDK has guards and they can't inspect backpacks due to some bullshit law.

I get it if the trees were in danger of falling over. But come on darting trough the trees on ninja was as much part of the experience as the tracking/ride itself. Maybe put up walls or something, Though with the winds they can see those would more likely blow over then the trees.

TPR Facebook Questions
Fire2box replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
1. Do you have your videos set to auto-play on your: a. desktop computer and/or b. mobile device? (or if you don't know, just tell us if the videos auto-play or not in your newsfeed.) They do not. 2. Do you regularly "share" content from Facebook "page" (like the TPR page) to your own personal Facebook page? And have you shared something from the TPR page? Yes and Yes 3. What kind of content are you most likely to share? (Videos, Photos, News Stories, etc?) videos and photos. 4. How long on average do you watch a video posted to Facebook for? Do you watch the entire video? First 30 seconds? Until you get bored? Until I get bored. 5. How important are "video thumbnails" to you? (the image you see with the > Play icon before you click to watch a video) pretty important. like 7-8 out of 10 in scale. 6. What do you like/dislike about Facebook? What features do you use the most and which ones annoy you? what I like is it's easily shared. 7. Is there anything that TPR does or doesn't do on Facebook that you think we should be doing more/less of? More petitioning parks to ban selfie sticks? -
Yeah, JeromyL and his daughter were on the "first" train of superman with me. I mentioned the double rides from 11-1 but I guess the felt it wasn't worth arguing about with the ride OP's. I stayed on the train for the second ride but the left rear Ride OP said either "no you're fine" in a exasperated manner, and I get it. I doubt management took *every* ride OP aside or called them and said "yeah, everyone gets double rides until 1 PM." mismanagement and miscommunication, but I guess that's what we can expect from Six Flags. Copy of the event from the park website:

I hope you guy's had a good time, I know the start of the day sucked since we all stuck around the hour it took for them to let passengers onto Superman. The park was light but IMHO the operations on almost everything were bad to seriously bad in my experience. The Superman Crew didn't even know of the Double Ride event from 11-1 PM in the park.

I think they'll keep the dolphins and seals. If I had to guess what they'll drop next it would be the cougars since they are only in that one little corner near the most rear restrooms of the park. Likely just dropping the high maintenance ones to save time and money and gett better services for their other more mainline animals. Dolphins, tigers, seals, etc. I just hope they somehow improve the wolf's "den" area since it wasn't built to suit the arctic and gray wolf they have.
