  1. Well, no one seems to be commenting.... Anyways, who like signs of definite progress? I for one sure do. As for the colors: I tried to match the blue to Jake's Konshu (sp?)-a file that I at one point had. Doing this from pictures gets it close. invertc2-110527154746000-6.bmp General overview of the previously mentioned progress. I like it-you? invertc2-110527154828001-7.bmp New angle and direction. invertc2-110527154854002-8.bmp Up the skirt! invertc2-110527154910003-9.bmp My favorite picture of the ride so far.
  2. Just wait a bit longer I know some things, and SOB may be getting some BIG changes very soon! Are you hinting at a Rocky Mountain treatment? No, I'm sure he means the bonfire will be a blast! Best improvement imaginable. It'd be the TPR event to top!
  3. ^Thank you very much! I really hadn't thought of it as kin to Patriot, I know I wanted a tight helix, somewhat-but not exactly like Raptor, a small 0-g roll, and a slightly different element order. Sorry about the old pictures, folks. Here are a few new ones that should stay clear: invertc2-110524161350000-2.bmp Can anyone offer specific advice about the shaping of the immelman? They're hard to perfect- invertc2-110524161416001-3.bmp invertc2-110524161444002-4.bmp invertc2-110524161505003-5.bmp Crazy Helix!
  4. Well, been workin' on this a few days now, and I just wanted to see if I can get any feedback-So, Criticize! If you know a thing or three about B&M inverts, and you want to see the .newt2 file or something, just PM me! A few stats- Inversions: Loop, Immelman, Cork, 0-g Length: 786.09 m (sans ending turn, so imagine the total length) Top Speed: 91 km/h Max Gs: 5.1 Color is by no means final, it just shows up nice in this environment. EDIT: The pictures do not appear to be very clear..grr! newtrack-110523195452001.bmp Far end of the ride-very intense- newtrack-110523195601002.bmp Overview
  5. ^It can be set to anything you want-I personally prefer the metric system even though it's not the standard I was initially taught. It's so much more streamlined because so many NL applications use meters, m/s, etc. and it makes many much much more usable. I'd just change the preferences from imperial to metric to get rid of the decimals-so it only makes sense (to me) to use what is so much cleaner looking. my 2 cents.
  6. ^I cannot agree with you anymore. They try to make the world their own, and in doing so, they make themselves look more stupid. EDIT: Random thing happened. This was the 5000th reply
  7. ^Arrow did do sidewinders, and I believe they called them sidewinder loops-or something to that effect.
  8. Yes, do the river rapids patent! That sounds fun. I would also find Premier's LIM launch patents interesting-
  9. ^Thank you! Now I'm not the only one who made it less than 10 seconds. I made it 3.3.....
  10. Europa Park Holiday Park Tokyo DisneySea Alton Towers De Eftling Universal Studios Florida IOA EDIT: On second thought, days later, I change IOA to Oktoberfest (hopefully with Olympia Looping) EDIT the 2nd: It was today after all! Just real early
  11. ^Well, just checking-the idea did seem *somewhat* absurd, but whatever. -had a total blond moment-
  12. ^^RD-there's such a thing as straight pride? I've never ever heard about it.
  13. ^Do you have a picture? I'm intrigued as to what they look like- But, yes, Olympia Looping looks amazing! It's the uber-Schwarz portable coaster. Looks like it surpasses all others.
  14. You're welcome. It's an extremely powerful tool. And it ain't little, it does a great many things that take a lot of time to work out and perfect. Some people say it's a cheat, but in reality, it's just as (if not more) difficult to get an accurate track than handbuilding. You have to learn to add all the little nuances of each company yourself, there's no set in stone way to do any one thing. Hope you have a great time learning it!
  15. Normally the one in Newton2 will suffice. Sometimes, it makes it a bit long, so adjust as needed right in Newton2.
  16. ^You can film directly in the simulator without any outside program if you have 1.7. You only need to hit 0 on the number pad to start and stop .avi exporting. Be sure to set the filming fps to 30, though.
  17. Celibidache conducting Georges Enescu's Romanian Rhapsody No. 1
  18. Looks like a great little coaster! If that's one of its first runs-then it's really gonna fly! But if not, I'm already pretty sold on this one.
  19. It's not possible- you'd have to play a video and then watch the ride. Unless there's a way to change the ambient sound to a sountrack via a .cfg or .env file-In which case I have no idea. And I have no recollection of Ole mentioning anything like that in any update for NL2.
  20. Now it's time for the real update. Found: here. Impressive detail and some astounding aesthetic options introduced. I'm quite pleased.
  21. Do you also include non-tracked rides? Like a themed indoor flat ride? Cyclone Sam's at WoF comes to mind. I agree, to all indoor themed rides, they're great fun! Not quite as much as the bigger outdoor ones, but they beat a lot of rides in my book. It's often that when a park does have one, they give it their best.
  22. ^They might have an issue in the bedroom...
  23. They're removing the Mad Mouse immediately? I thought there was word they were keeping it up til the end of the season....
  24. Is it handbuilt or toolbuilt? (In the editor or with an outside program)
