Most Overrated coaster?
CorkscrewFoley replied to BlackWidow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I thought Everest was highly overrated. It was fun, but I got off thinking 'what, that was it?' I felt like it could have done so much more. Gemini-Growing up within 2 hours from Cedar Point, I used to hear how steep it was, and this and tht. After i rode it, I throroughly enjoyed it, but it wasn't nowhere as bad as everyone said it was. BTW, I haven't heard anyone mention the Voyage. Surely someone must have something bad to say... -

Rollies Coaster is a Pinfari Death Machine, and even their non loopers use the OTSRs. -
B&M Flyer Evacuation
CorkscrewFoley replied to Retro_Gaga's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is a good question, but I reckon it might be similar to their inverts, right? -
I have two... Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory...I'm sorry, but I get chills still after 20 some odd years of seeing this film. Velvet Goldmine-This baby had it all. Great music, androygyny, and homoeroticism.

I think they sort of did it with an open seating ride similar to the Zamperla Hawk. Some fan boy I am, can't think of the name without having to go to Intamin's website. I know the closest to me is at CW. -
Photo TR: Point Mallard Water Park

This has to be a first for me--a water park TR. I really liked the feel of it from the pics, very laid back and green. -

Could Intamin retrofit the Starships, or no? They don't even make them anymore either, am I correct? -
*** THE BEBES *** Rainbow Magicland ITALY TR
CorkscrewFoley replied to The Bebes's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
What a great TR, I'm glad Justin got his creds. I know I had a similar experience at GL a few years back, where Head Spin made me green, but I had to keep on riding, as all the coasters there were creds for me. How is the pretzel loop compared to the vertical loop on the Vekoma Flyers? -

I wonder if maybe there'll be a bit of a dark ride section en route to the lift. That could take up a bit of the track length. Just a thought. -

Very nice indeed. I'm thinking they trimmed the airtime hill because there would be too much speed going into that first inversion. All I can say...Intamin goodness. -

I think Hyyper's missing the point, it's about the entire experience in regards to Efteling (and even Disney). So they add something you're not excited about, there's going to be tonnes who will. -

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
CorkscrewFoley replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really haven't much of what GP say, but as was mentioned YouTube is notorious for idoitic GP. I'm not bragging, but I know I'm constantly being belligerent to them when they can't even make the effort t even try and spell. -

Now there's something different... a dueling Scenic Railway. I think this is a big ride, not big in the sense of size, but big as in unique. With 1799 ounter per hour, the queues shouldn't be a big deal. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
CorkscrewFoley replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wasn't there a rumour going about 6 years ago, or started back then I should say that cedar Point was going to break the inversion record on a sit down? Is there any truth to it, or is this another rumour that won't come to fruitition? -

I actually thought the seatbelts made Corky smoother, because it pulled down just a bit, and my head didn't bounce off them as much. -

I'd imagine they would do somthing with the Mayflower. A Screamin' Swing would be a great choice too. -

I find this very true with their inverts, as I'm a short person myself. Ironically, I have no issues with openess on impulse coasters. -

I'm with Lance here, I honestly don't "get" this move. This isn't really like Goliath at SFFT where the GP cannot really tell what a B:TR clone is. But honestly La Ronde? Am I missing smethinghere? Why would La Ronde take Serial Thriller when they have Batman? -

I really like the Intamin T-Bars like on Millie. I felt truly safe on them. Worst--any Arrow lapbar. I know Schwarzkopf use the U-Bar too, but I don't get my knees smashing together on an Anton.
