  1. I was going to mention Everest as well, but I believe I may have the documentary on it on YouTube...just a matter of finding it.
  2. I thought Magnum was pretty rough, matter of fact, I thought it was worse than Mean Streak. I thought Space mountain (WDW) was rough too--but in a good-may-I-have-another-mistress? sort of way.
  3. Nice TR and pics jess. I love the brake pic, I have one from a Disney trip awhile back, and everyone I knew shook their heads...glad I'm here. lol
  4. I agree that if CP got a bigger PP, I wouldn't really think of it as a shoot the chutes, but more of a flume, from what I've seen of PP. As for coaster wise, I always enjoyed CCMR, and I think CP needs to replace with some something like Everest, or just a bigger Vekoma Mine Train. A good family coaster is what they need.
  5. Nice pics, and look forward to a proper TR. I do have to say, when I was last at Kennywood, the group I was with had all ridden as single riders. I hadn't ridden a Whip since I was a kid...great fun.
  6. used to live ayan Mindbender wen it was Nightmare at Boblo. Mind you this was back in the early 90's, but it was always the first ride I would hit...
  7. Don't forget how efficient they are at moving the queue along...legendary from what I have been told.
  8. Hey, I'm appalled by all the CP slagging...really, not all of us are fact checkers...but I docount Gemini as a double credit. All sarcasm aside (but I really do count Gemini as two creds), great pics, and the comments were great. Plus, I must be the only one on here who doesn't like the holding brake on V2...well, I rode Steel Venom, andI didn't care for the holding brake.
  9. I wonder if the new coaster is going to have a black out moment like at the bottom of Millie's first drop. Only time I've momentarily blacked out on a coaster (I haven't been to Germany to try a Schwarz multi-looper). I'm sure there will be some greying out though...
  10. I went back and yeah, I do see now that it is going to be a cable lift. I was just asking a question--whatever--it was my mistake.
  11. if you watch any BBW POV, you can see where the equipment is in the water...Unless I'm mistaken.
  12. As much as I love coaster commercials, I have to say I despise and loathe the Ride Warriors commercials. Just when I thought Cedar Fair couldn't get any more lame, they out do themselves. I remember the Starburst advert though...oh nostalgia.
  13. I'm about four hours away from Chicago, I'd be able to make it.
  14. Nice pics, and those eta cups looks really nice. I have must say that the demon's trains look sexy, not Intamin sexy, but a girl in glasses hot (which I like alot). Second, what is it with the over sized handlebars on Bemon? Viper at SFMM has them too. Shame about Viper though, I've been reading nothing but positive reviews about it--until now.
  15. Hopefully, what made no sense was Laser ran at Dorney from 1986 - 2008 and CF owned the park from 1993 yet seatbelts were added in 2007. What I mean is why all of the sudden did CF add seatbelts especially since under their ownership of the park it ran without seatbelts for 14 seasons. I've never ridden a looping Schwarzy, and even I know they shouldn't have seatbelts. Then again, with CF, they had seatbelts to lock their Arrow OTSRs... Go figure...
  16. Yes but as mentioned there are no brake fin slots making a launching coaster out of the question. What about a hydraulic lift like Bakken's Tornado...or does that require brake fins?
  17. Ah yes, nostalgia, i love it. Oddly enough, I don't remember any airtime hill at the base of White Water Landing. I do miss that ride... Still, one question remains, why the hell did Cedar Point build a bobsled coaster next to the beach? I know Blackpool's Mack Bobsled is themed similarly, but it's not right next to the water.
  18. Mine would have to be Villain, especially in the back seat. I nearly soiled myself, as that was the first time I experienced pullover air.
  19. Holy freakin' crap! By the way, weren't the Pax Wild Train notorious for some insane ejector air for a kiddie coaster? I can't wait for Cobra to open, and that station is going to look fantabulous.
  20. Kooky (Kooky, lend me a comb), thanks for posting these pics. I'm so glad this lovely Schwrzy is getting a new lease on life--I know it sounds lame, but it's true. I wonder if the obligatory, CF seatbelts have been removed...
  21. yeah, Villain was pretty rough...but it was my favourite. Anyways, great job on the TR and the pics were fantastic. So I have a question, who is the maker of Sidewinder?
  22. I believe that's at Trimper's Rides. There's a small, compact single loop coaster at one of the parks there I believe. That's it, Trimpers. Many thanks.
  23. Was Michael Jackson under an Universal label? Still, I would have loved to seen some X on there...a great underrated band.
