Could that what caused the seat to pop out? As for the ride itself, I would still ride it, or any Intamin accelerator with the cable. It's too bad they can't find a way to keep the cable covered, but if the cable snapped, it could still be accessed easily. Bring back the big, loud Schwarzkopf flywheel/weight drop launches.

I'm happy with the announcement. It's too bad it was going to be a dueling scenic railroad. -
Which is worse, Arrow or Vekoma?
CorkscrewFoley replied to MLRC7 CP's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I can't decide either. I like both Arrow and Vekoma. I've been on as many Arrows as I have Vekomas, and honestly, the only Vekoma I didn't like was Head Spin, erm...Carolina Cobra with the ugly old trains. I've never found their SLCs to be rough, but maybe I have a high tolerance to pain when it comes to riding. -

I'm using 8car, and my problem is, trying to make a coaster similar to Everest, I can make the first connection for the reverse section, but I am struggling with the track bit to get it to go forward... Hopes this makes sense... -
Luna Park - Sydney PTR
CorkscrewFoley replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow is Sydeny ever lovely to look at, as well as Luna Park. As for that one flat, I believe it's an Orbiter, I can't remember if it's Schwarzkopf or Huss--but Canada's Wonderland has one called Nightmare. -

^^I'm glad I'm not alone in regards to being a fan of the old flumes. Restraints or not, I'm going to enjoy just relaxing and getting a bit wet--or soaked, depending on weather. -

I thought for a moment that shot of Toledo was part of the park...Regardless, WBM looks like a fantastic park, and it's a shame you missed a cred--even, if it's as painful as I keep reading. -

Nat, I have to ask, but what was the first best concrete corridor you went through? As always, your captions are hilarious. Keep up the good work. -
Overrated Parks

I can't say I have ever found a park overrated. I have fun no matter where I go. -

My God, what an appalling ride that was! I wonder if they change next year if they'll throw in a tiny dark drop like Birates over at WDW. -
The Rumor / Crazy Idea Superthread
CorkscrewFoley replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I went over to Screamscape, and apparently the management at Disney were at Europa Park. They didn't seem to impressed with the park, but showed quite an interest in both of Mack's watercoasters. -

I have to wonder how long it'll be before SFGrAm does get the rumoured giga. -
TPR's China/Japan 2009 Trip!
CorkscrewFoley replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I don't know if I'd hold a panda after the one Robot Chicken episode where the panda took a reporter's head off. lol! Joking aside, that would be freakin' amazing! This China trips looks like a cultural mindf*** (in the good way of course). -

^CP Maverick, you're quite right about that--with this much theming and CF. Even if there's not much going on STR, it'll be like WWL in that way of being a relaxing ride. -
How fast is Eagle's Fortress?

I know Vortex at CW feels at least like 65 mph at night. -

I think weather will determine just how wet you get. If next summer is anything like last summer, I can't really see all the effects on--unless Ohio never had a cold summer like we did.
