  1. With departure only 2 days away I just wanted to bring this back up, as I still have plenty of open days on my schedule. So anyone who might be interested in meeting up please feel free to leave a reply or drop me a message.
  2. Looks fantastic! Love the various expressions on the animals, particularly the coaster train. It makes me giggle every time!
  3. This looks fantastic! I have always wanted to go to Japan, but now that I in a few years can go to Scandinavia IN Japan I definately have to go. Given all the praise that this park gets, I'm sure they will do an amazing job with it. Having Frozen there doesn't hurt either...
  4. Great trip report! I remember reading about this place in First Drop magazine many years ago. Definately looks like a fun place to spend a day!
  5. I arrive in Orlando on the 4th, and the 5th will be spent at one of the Disney parks. Not sure which one yet, but considering the long travel the day before I consider a relaxing stroll around EPCOT quite likely...
  6. Great to hear that Knoebels have a winner on their hands! Impulse looks fantastic with its bright color scheme, and seems to be the perfect fit for a small park like Knoebels. Thanks for a great report!
  7. Great pictures, Tempesto looks like a very nice addition to the park! And with the small footprint and great reviews I'm almost certain we will see more of these being built over the coming years. And from what I gather thats not a bad thing at all.... So BGT has five times the fury, BGW has six times the speed.... what will the next be, seven times the....???
  8. Yeah, my feeling is still "I'll believe it when I see it". However as there is progress I do find it very exciting as I might actually get a homepark in 3-4 years.
  9. The website has been updated, it looks like the park has gotten a namechange and will now be called "Thor’s Rike - Viking Adventure Park" http://vikinglandet.no/en/explore-the-park/ More concept art has been released, mostly in the video in the link above. This is a lot more specific in terms of what rides to expect. In terms of rollercoasters there is no doubt they are planning to build a wooden rollercoaster. The footage in the video is of Wood Coaster @ Knight Valley, but I would not take this as confirmation that theyre specifically planning a GCI. I have been a bit pessimistic about this project, and I have yet to see a confirmation that the park will actually be built, but with more concept art being released theres no doubt that there is at least some kind of progress on the project and that is always exciting!
  10. It will for sure be interesting to see how it will look like with track in place. Its not excactly pretty at the moment IMO, but since its still a construction zone I will reserve final judgement until its actually completed. Either way I'm sure the ride experience itself will be great.
  11. Yeah, that loop looks it will create some serious hang-time! Really like how they are getting more and more creative with the elements. Not just for this ride, but on rollercoasters in general.
  12. Tusenfryd has posted a video (POV) of the first test run with Timberliners on their facebook page. For a first test run the speed looks very good all the way to the end. (Edit) Tusenfryd actually writes in the comments section that during testing it runs a little bit faster with the new trains. Sounds great! Also worth noting that the trains have 12 rows, the same number as the old Vekoma trains. Since the timberliners doesnt have seat belt, it should be possible to increase capacity a little.
  13. With only 3 weeks left to my trip I figured it was time to bring this thread back up. I already have some arrangements, but I still have plenty of 'open' days, particularly on weekdays, so if anyone else is interesting in meeting up just let me know and we'll try to work something out.
  14. I didn't know anything about this park until now, but I must say it looks great! That Gerstlauer bobsled looks like a ton of fun, and for that Sky Fly I only have one thing to say... WOW!!!
  15. Nice pictures! I had forgotten they had repainted Flight Deck so when I first saw the pictures I was wondering for a few seconds what rollercoaster it was as I could not recognize it... I have always been a bit fascinated with the corkscrew on this ride. It seems to have a rather vicious snap and a funky exit transition which I have not seen similar on any other B&M's. How is the ride experience through this element in terms of rider comfort?
  16. Great pictures! I'm very curious to see how Batman will run in terms of speed and rotations. Definately one of the most intriguing rides being built this year!
  17. ^Same here, I rode Twister back in 2011 and all my memories from that ride is that it was awesome! I guess the second train will be red, keeping with the original color scheme of one red and one green train.
  18. While the movie isn't the greatest when it comes to storytelling, the world of Pandora was stunningly beautiful and I'm fairly sure this is what people want to experience. If Disney manages to capture some of that magic it will be a crowdpleaser for sure.
  19. I thought it was bad last year when there were ride attendants at 3 different points during the line telling people to empty their pockets. I understand that common sense is a rarity these days. but still this is just getting absolutely ridicilous! I guess people will have to remove their wristwatches before riding as well....
  20. Very interesting to see how much of the ride is close to the ground. Should provide a very fast paced ride. Think I have to head down to Germany in 2016...
  21. That queue line and station building looks awesome! Well done Holiday Park.
  22. This should be a fantastic addition to PowerPark! Considering that the park is somewhat out in the middle of nowhere its great to see that they are succesfull and keep expanding. I think I need to go back to Finland soon, 2007 is a long time ago...
  23. No surprises that Frozen Summer Fun is returning for a second year, considering the still insane popularity of everything thats got to do with Frozen. I'm very glad they extended it through September last year so that I got to experience it, because I had an absolute blast. And Frozen Fireworks were amazing! Heres my video from last years fireworks, will be interesting to see how it will be this year.
  24. Looking at the pictures I would agree that it seems to be somewhere in the range 35-40 degrees. Definetely not 45 degrees.
  25. So this one then? Thats pretty much as I expected...
