  1. The bucket seating style on those trains would leave me hesitant about lowering that height restriction to there. Besides, aren't the majority of (if not, every) B&M's at 54"? Raging Bull's lap bar can go down pretty far. I think they should lower it to 48". I'm sure they all can come low, I'm just concerned with how low the kids would sit in the bucket seats. I'm sure they're 54" because the shaping of the seat and restraint wouldn't be suitable/comfortable for them. The bucket seating style on those trains would leave me hesitant about lowering that height restriction to there. Besides, aren't the majority of (if not, every) B&M's at 54"? I'm still super shocked at the first post detailing Solar Flare's requirements. If you're within a 13" gap and less than 220 pounds, then you can ride?! Sounds more like a spelunking adventure, to me. A few B&Ms are lower. Most obviously the Wing Coasters, some of which are 50"52". Wildfire is 52", if I am correct. Ah, I never noticed! I just looked up Gatekeeper's, and it's at 52". (Kinda makes me wonder what Banshee's height restriction will be...) I think Banshee was announced as 52". Wild Eagle is 50". Also, I think X-Flight is 54" Really, this should be changed as for Arrow loopers. If the restraints are tested to work right, small loopers should be 42"-46" and large ones should be 48" It is complete crap that a kid who can ride intense coasters X2 and Toro can't ride the mega-loopers.

  3. Witches Wheel is a Huss ride, and they set the requirement at 54", not CP. I will say I wonder why CP hasn't lowered Power Tower's height restriction to 48" yet. When I rode it in 2012 it seemed to have the modifications made that would allow them to. I once emailed S&S. They said that some restraints are different on 48" towers. What is the difference?
  4. Rita or Desert Race- https://www.google.com/maps/place/52%C2%B059'05.4%22N+1%C2%B053'23.4%22W/@52.984882,-1.889813,177m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0
  5. Cedar Point's Super Himalaya (Music Express type ride) has a 52" restriction to ride alone, but is lower to ride accompanied.
  6. The Witches' Wheel always confused me. Although, as for the loopers, I was only talking about the larger ones. The mega-loopers and Vortex being in that category.
  7. To be fair, while CF does more weird height restrictions, there are a few things that CF does better. Such as large Arrow loopers being 54" at SF parks, while the comparable (slightly smaller) Vortex is 48".
  8. Not quite the wild mouse, but the Goldrusher seems like a pretty crappy idea.
  9. If anything, Olympia has more loops with similar Schwarzkopf intensity.
  10. Am I the only person who found the first part of Nitro almost devoid of airtime? I rode it twice, near the front and back ends of the train, and found the floater hills less intense than even Diamondback. It could have been a bad trim day, but still, I found the ride mediocre and quite overrated (even in the Mitch poll.)
  11. The title is self-explanatory- Cedar Fair has high height restrictions, but not overall ludicrous. The "ludicrous" honor goes to Galaxyland. Mindbender requires a 59"restriction, while the Solar Flare flat ride requires a 62" height. http://www.wem.ca/media/43315/gld-ride-information.pdf
  12. CCMR has a very loose restraint system. In fact, according to Wikipedia, as the train descended a "30-foot drop" in 1984, a 5 year old kid fell out and fractured his skull. If it were to get better restraints, (I like the new Arrow ones a la Adventure Express, Magnum, and Gemini, but I recall SFGAdv's mine train having a decent restraint system too) it could easily become a good family ride. I remember being in line for CCMR. There was a kid crying, I think (IDK if scared or thought he was too short) but he just barely passed 48". I think the people cheered when they saw it. As for me, I only passed 48" in 2nd grade (I was short for a long time and I'm still quite short.) As a high school sophomore (freshman age, I skipped a grade), I am 5 foot 3" or so, which, while not quite tall, enables me to not really worry about height restrictions.
  13. Sounds like Pipe Scream could become a family-ish coaster at around the same level as Woodstock Express. It isn't a coaster, but the GP will think so.
  14. This might be a stupid theory, but consider that Wing Coaster trains are heavy and tend to have a lot more twists in their layout than Dive Machines. This could stress and deform the wheels (like B&M tries to avoid using wheeled transfer tracks) and cause a fast-travelling train to bump around a lot. On another note, I've heard people say new Asian B&Ms are more forceful because American parks purposely buy forceless coasters for the paranoid GP. I hate this theory, but is there any truth in it?
  15. CEDAR POINT FANBOY ALERT - Gatekeeper does have a forceful part. The dive-drop-Immelmann combo. I'm not as in love with the ride as I used to be, but once they get a permanent vest fix, lighting fix, and roughness fix, the ride will be great. Yes, I sound like a troll. By the way, do FOTR's vests lock? Yes, they lock. I think at least half of the GP complain about the vest harness after a ride. Some of my classmates even asked me how to avoid it. Hopefully they can obtain some zip ties
  16. Not the top ride in the park, but it is much faster and has changed since media day.
  17. Nice idea, but I don't totally like it. Maybe do a partial backwards configuration like the Swarm.
  18. I remember when Elissa called FOTR's trains Wild Parrot. We should give each wing coaster a Wild name. X Flight > Wild Bird (generic) Wild Eagle > Wild Eagle (derp) Swarm > Wild Flies (I know that "swarm" in this case has nothing to do with insects, but still) Raptor > Wild Velociraptor(Again, completely unrelated, but modern-day raptors are more like eagles, and we already have a Wild Eagle) Gatekeeper > Wild Seagull (or Angry Seagull, as I heard it called once) FOTR > Wild Parrot (I just said this...) Flug der Damonen > Wild Demon (SO original)

  20. Yeah, WT's restraints suck. My friend can fit into it pretty loosely, though. Those restraints are one reason I like Possessed more.
  21. How is FOTR any better? It has a great beginning, but a sort of slow ending.
  22. Just a question that I've asked before and didn't get a reply to - how merciless are NTAG's redone restraints and seatbelts towards heavier people? I could fit on El Toro (with some stapling as usual) and have never been booted from a coaster before (but am dangerously close to being too big for the tiny seatbelts on Wicked Twister.)
  23. I've heard people say Voyage has gotten crappy, is that true? If so, that's sad - it seems like a fun ride and it is not horribly far from me.
  24. I assumed that the reprofiling or whatever on Goudurix was finished. Oh, well. Now, on the subject of Goudurix' crappiness... What is the crappiest coaster in the US/Canada to compare it to? I've been on Time Warp (a Volare, the 2nd-worst on the Mitch Hawker poll) and actually liked it. I find more displeasure in bumpy woodies. How close is Ninja at SFOG to Goudurix in terms of crappiness, considering that I'll be taking a trip to SFOG in the not-so-far future?
  25. Same. Question - will this coaster's final name be Helix, or is that just the project name. Either way, this can't turn out bad!
