  1. I do not know. VERY good question.
  2. The thing about WT is that the seatbelts are bolted on in a way that allows them to twist, essentially extending or retracting the belt by a bit. I made sure to rotate the belt to the position that would give the best chance. If you need to know, the seat I tried was the far back row on the right side. The belt just barely touched the buckle and couldn't go in. The ride op made me push the restraint down, but I noticed that she never pushed it down, only trying to buckle the belt. I don't know if they are even allowed to push the restraint down in that situtation. On another note, my restraint was unlocked about 4 times beforehand due to other issues. Wicked Twister seems to be the new El Toro.
  3. If they made the belts shorter, I am shocked. Why? Here's the thing - on Pipe Scream media day, I fit into the Peanuts 500 ride and Woodstock Express (IDK, credit/ride whoring) with a little effort. I fit into MF and Dragster with only a little issue. Gatekeeper is fine - I kinda have to staple myself, but the ride ops or the ride itself will do that if you don't. I just think it is a load of crap that I can fit onto kiddie rides like Peanuts 500 and not Wicked Twister.
  4. So I've just came to the conclusion that I am too fat to ride Wicked Twister. Honestly, I now hate whoever made the seatbelt a smaller than every other impulse coaster!
  5. Why do Flying Scooters need to be bubble wrapped? They can't snap, take forever to cycle, and require key seat belts despite the responsible person rule.
  6. Media Day report- When we (my friend and I) got there, Pipe Scream was broken. Eagles had a rather long line, so we went back to Camp Snoopy to look for the new Wilderness Run entrance. We never found it, but the ride ops at Peanuts 500 opened up. After we got off this little kiddy ride, only to see that Woodstock Express had opened. So we credit whored that. We also used the Coke freestyle and frozen yogurt machines. We also looked at Slingshot's construction site, where the base pieces are already in place. Eventually, we got one ride on Pipe Scream. After the keynote, we went to Chickie's and Pete's. Blue Streak and MF were open. Let me tell you, Blue Streak seemed butter-smooth. I compared it to El Toro's smoothness. It wasn't actually quite that smooth, but still very nice. Unfortunately, it needs to warm up a bit - it had little airtime. MF was just normal old MF, except for an annoying squealing sound that was most prevalent in the last overbank. CP did a great job with this media day.
  7. Who cares about the sign; it's an RMC! Now, let's see how many of those Cedar Fair has installed. Hmm... How many world-class giga coasters does Six Flags have installed? On a more serious note, the I like the roman columns, but I imagine that the sign could be a bit better. Then again, this isn't a particularly themed ride.
  8. Considering Gemini's rather monotonous layout (at least for RMC), I think the upper parts of the ride would have to be completely rebuilt, supports and all.
  9. Has Banshee warmed up at all since Media Day?
  10. ^It's next door to the biggest city in the US and is part of New England. New England is the major part he is talking about.
  11. Realistically, besides the total transformation that I suggested, here is another idea - topper track and re-bank the high-stress parts, let off on the trims, and maybe change the brake shed to a drop and rise (because seriously, that shed is pointless with the mag brakes doing in 2 seconds what used to take the whole shed length to do.)
  12. ^Here is my extreme reprofiling idea. It is probably a pipe dream- Station to top of first lift - Same First drop - Steeper and more curved for airtime. Turn and second drop - The turn would be buried lower into the ground, and would pop into a bunny hop before diving into the valley (think reprofiled I305) Rise and second turn (towards where the "brake shed" is now) - The ride would rise out of the valley. The turn radius is wide now, but in my dream version, you would have a little dip, then a tight, banked turn (think the turn after Goliath's cutback-zero-g stall thing, but only a 90 degree turn.) Brake Shed - Rather than the brake shed, the ride would dip down and do another airtime hill before rising back to where the shed ends now. After present-day brake shed - The ride would continue fairly similar to how it is now, but more banked around the turns. A few double-downs and double-ups could be inserted for maximum intensity. Before second lift - The ride would continue similar to how it is now, but the ride would pull up after it's turn to line up with the lift hill and curve over into more airtime. Pre-lift trims would go after this hill as necessary. The lift would start somewhat higher than it does today. Second lift - Same as today Drop off second lift - Is there really any way to improve this besides reducing the trims for a slightly faster ride? Helix - Banking added, not much else is needed Ending run - This is drawn out and boring, so how about the ride ends with a few good bunny hops? Anybody think that this could be an awesome new experience?
  13. The seatbelts aren't a huge deal. What is a huge deal is the fact that they need to put these on the ride to appease the GP.
  14. It isn't tapatalk, it's the word filter, it looks like.
  15. Do you think CF would respond to a letter politely asking about this issue? Not removing the belts, but at least explaining them?
  16. My school has an Achievement Center (study area, former library) on the second floor with an upper deck about halfway between the main second floor and the main third floor. There is a short, open wheelchair elevator there. This reminds me of that. I noticed this too.
  17. I've never been on them, but they look like fun rides. And the Freeze-style double station is a nice addition. What is the capacity of Mr. Freeze compared to an average complete-circuit coaster?
  18. So it looks like S:UF will become a big cookie-cutter.
  19. What is the worst food price you've seen in a park? For me, it is the pizza at Six Flags over Georgia. $7.41 for a slice (including tax, the original is either $6.99 or $7.00 or somewhere there), which equates the whole pizza costing $59.28 (assuming 8 slices.) I imagine they are making quite the profit...
  20. I still don't see why they needed to do this. These rides are perfectly safe. I don't think any B&M has ever ejected anybody. The fact that they have to put in belts to appease the GP is completely and utterly moronic.
  21. Then why doesn't any other B&M hyper owned by any other park have these belts?
  22. Well, they did remove seatbelts from BLSC and Flight Deck (now Bat), however, those were both backup and not primary restraints. By the way, remember that SF put belts on Goliath, Titan, and YOLOCoaster. At least CF can probably operate it well with belts. And if the GP catch on, we might see a similar high capacity.
