  1. Kentucky Kingdom, while it is my home park, it is not my favorite. My favorite falls towards Busch Gardens Tampa. There's just so much more to offer at the park, and most of their major coasters are within my personal top 10 favorites.
  2. Another wing coaster to add, Thunderbird (2015)! Also Lightning Run and Banshee (2014).
  3. ^Fun Spot America posted a 16 second video of it on their Facebook page. [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew]
  4. ^This gets me curious as to what rides have awesome animations, but turn out worse in real life... Also, I ran by the park this weekend again and got some more photos. I've been busy since, so I haven't been able to get it posted, but I will soon. ------ Edit: I swear, at least two or three others went to photograph Storm Chaser on the same day as I did! Either way, here are some of what I shot. For those who prefer quantity, I have most of my Storm Chaser construction update photos in its own Flickr album (to keep from crowding my normal Kentucky Kingdom album). New bits since the last time I was by here! The sign is new!
  5. Don't these tower coasters now look like updated Chance Toboggans? Glad to see them making an upscaled return!
  6. First ride feature, a Zierer Star Shape! Facebook Post [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew] Also, I liked how they responded to this comment:
  7. Finished Half-Life 2 for the first time two nights ago.
  8. Somehow I knew you'd be the first to respond to that, and you didn't let me down.
  9. Did somebody say "head clearance?!" Just joking, though I bet there's some very close head-chopper effects in there! That element looks sweet!
  10. You guys have been churning out the most updates from IAAPA, so a big thank you from me for doing so! I'd do almost anything to be able to attend the event, but alas, education demands my attention... Nevertheless, I get to live it via Twitter!
  11. Wow, wow, wow! The architecture, paired with the slides look absolutely fantastic! And there looks to be quite the number of water slides at the first park!
  12. That's one thing that causes making any seemingly "perfect" coaster builder so complicated. What would be the perfect medium for the intricate designer and the casual gamer to settle and be happy with? As far as I can see, whatever they land on won't make everybody happy. So why not find what the majority prefers and stick with that? As far as most reviews seem to say, pre-formed straight pieces of track will be very welcomed.
  13. "Kaaarma, karma, karma, karma, Karma Chameleon" - Culture Club
  14. 3 years since I've made that post, I've learned that "photography" is not an actual major (it's only a focus as you complete a real major), and that a major within Media Arts (recently changed from Telecommunications, and listed under Communications/Journalism) had more of what I was interested in. Still, I was able to finish studio art as a minor!
  15. I personally found this to be almost too entertaining, and would love to see it live!
  16. Time Lapse Animation Faces in the Crowds
  17. Thank you! If you refer back to the video at the 0:30 mark, it had funky banking action at the valley between the airtime hill and overbank: Also, the Kentucky Kingdom website updated with a possible concept of the ride's train. Personally, I think this might be one of the most vibrant RMC's built (as well as Joker).
  18. ^Nice park! I finally tried out the mods, and boy does it improve the game! I'm so much more used to the flying camera of RCT3 that this feels way better than the isometric camera! Monolith Also, they were quick to release the 4b alpha to fix the lagging issue, which is nice.
  19. Apart from Antarctica penguin experience and shark tank, I usually only focus on the rides when I go to the park. Last time I was out there, I skipped the Shamu shows for walk-on Kraken and Wild Arctic rides. Not becaue I don't support the show, but it's not a main focus when in the park. I'd still go to the park and do it again, considering they're the cheapest large theme park in the Orlando area with one of the best coaster line-ups.
  20. Reasonably scaled-down from the original model, but still as frightening/intriguing as the first. I'm guessing this is probably the one Therme Erding might get?
  21. I too have noticed the surprise surge in posts. It's great to see you guys now have the time to do so, and hope all goes well with 2016! I believe I'm following most of the park's social media accounts by now.
  22. ^It's not really new, I remember seeing that element listed on RCDB. Here: Spoilers: html edits are fun
  23. Small update...? Small update. Ran by the park today (7th). Faced some pretty heavy traffic which kinda ruined the panorama, but I cropped the cars out. The construction site was live with workers working on the drop and barrel roll section. Coming out of the nearly-inverted overbank towards my direction. Some trackwork int he distance, and a live construction site. ... what?! The hill following the overbank. Close-up! The station supports and roof is red, the gates are black. Airtime! The overbank after the airtime hill! Area after the overbank. Overbank from across the street. The station from afar. Lastly, track progress.
  24. When things start involving politics as deeply as this is when I start getting headaches... They're working pretty hard to make sure this doesn't happen. Also, I-Drive is much more of a lit-up strip already. Maybe they're just worried that the "icon" or "image" of Orlando to people (namely tourists) will shift from the theme parks, to the big wheel, and then to the HUGE skyscraper with a roller coaster on it. They're probably just intimidated with the fact that they'll have to compete for the upper-hand in imagery within that area. Skyplex will practically advertise itself... Just my touristy two-cents, though.
