Massive Europe Trip Report
vuurvogel replied to Mrenata's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I completely agree, Expedition GeForce is very temperamental. The first time I rode it I thought mehh, I know better coasters. But that was in the morning with temperatures just over 15 degrees C. Then I rode it again in the afternoon with temperatures over 20 degrees and the coaster warmed up by the many ride cycles of that day. Wow, it then feels like a whole different coaster. To bad you rode it on a cold day, it then does not live up to its hype. -

I would say the mouse is more of a 1,5 seater. I also had a great time that day. Loved the Hospital. I think we were very lucky to end our Japan trip in this way (like Divv, I went home after Fuji-Q). I entered that day on my last 2500 Yen, so I had to cut spending a bit and when I left the next day I had only 127 Yen Left. Very nicely done I think. Thanks for your Report Divv. It was very entertaining -

I remember that I rode most coasters just once because of all the great random stuff going on in the parks that I needed to check out. Japan is definitely on my need to go back list. At least steve was mummified, Dave was oozing all over the place the next few days. And you just have to love the Japanese Horror scene, that 4D movie was amazing. The other stuff just weird, I guess Japanese are scared by other stuff then we are, but it is still amazing. -

I think I have seen the movies you mention at Shibuya crossing. Japan indeed was amazing and I wish my Japanese was as good as Elissa's. Maybe then I could understand what that old Japanese guy at the graveyard had to say. The memories this report brings back. Great work Divv. -

TPR Facebook Page Cover Photo Contest

When I saw the picture dimensions I immediately got an idea, turned out I could not get the right picture so I made another that gave the atmosphere I wanted to go for. I will just show you because maybe someone does have the right picture or it can give someone an idea The Idea I had was of a brass ring carrousel (what could be more fun) which dispences the TPR Facebook icon. But this one turned out just to be a picture of Elissa (and dad)(not that there is anything wrong with that, but I think I remember you want TPR more than just being Robb and Elissa and I think it needs a bit more themepark in it) and does not show the atmosphere I wanted. I wanted a picture that does not need to have the name in it just focusses attention to the TPR Icon. So if anyone has the pic! Then I made this, it shows more of an atmospheric, warm pic. It needs some touching up not in the right resolution but I like the feeling. Maybe a bit to much text -

I like that the coaster is being themed to one of my favorite Astrix characters. The funny hypnotist who tries to hypnotize Astrix and instead looses his concentration and hypnotizes himself. By Osiris and by Atis, you are a wild boar, priceless. -

Excellent example of why there is TPR. This is the kind of park almost nobody will see if there would not be somebody who would go there, take pictures and put them on TPR. Brilliant report, you made me laugh. The park looks very good, I wish I could go tour Asia to find this kind of parks. -
Hello, it is a while ago I worked on this report. I am having some more time now so I will be going on and try to finish this report so I can shift my attention to some other pictures I have and I would like to share with you. Last report was Mirabilandia and we moved to lake Garda, so next park was; Gardaland I like this park, it has a nice selection of coasters, water rides and dark rides. Everting is nicely themed and I can only think of one sort of flaw the park has. The park is a bit unbalanced in its type of rides. Water rides together, coasters clustered, children's rides in one area, you get the drift. But that does not stop me from having a good time. They still have the most awesome entrance to their pirates ride (really, go ride it and you will see) and the main reason for visiting, the new monster that is Raptor. I think it is a very entertaining coaster. It is not very forceful but just enough. The theming is great and you may get wet from the wingdip effects and the other 'secret' water effect. If you sit towards the back of the coaster it will jerk you over the top of the lift hill and drop you in the coaster action. My advise is try to sit outside backseat, I liked that seat the best. Onto the pictures View from the Hotel I can see roller coasters This park has a nice collection Who has this picture? Yay What could they be hiding here? It would be Raptor We were not the only ones trying to ride it. Thank Jhvh for fast pass and single rider lines Did I say I like the theme Nice ride, I can't wait to ride the other wing coaster lay outs. Artsy shot, Lift Hill geeks get your tissues And then we visited the other attraction Merlin is well known for. Gardalands Sea Life. You have to cross the parking lot and it is not well signed but eventually you will find it. Garqon, that one please They have some Italian theming here Jelly Fish! Just having fun with Colors and Jellies They are such beautifull creatures, if I had more room at home I would have a tank full of them Diving for treasure They have Sealions here And some strange creatures.... ...I hope they can not come out of the tank

Fuji-Q Highland Haunted Hospital
vuurvogel replied to Retro_Gaga's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^especially with us because we had a faulty flashlight I really liked this haunt, the long-ish corridors with not much happening. There was a really good atmosphere, senses on high alert. even without sounds, which made it more scary I think.
