  1. Some of our friends have been trying to get us to go to the one here and I just think it's way too creepy! Would love some captions to know more about what Erik and Smisty thought about it!
  2. Even if Hakugei ends up being a mid tier RMC that will still make it one of the best coasters in Japan. It's just such a different culture and I worry giving them a ride like Steel Vengeance wouldn't have paid off. I'm sure this ride will be great for Japan.
  3. I don't see it before Chinese New Year...perhaps it was in celebration for that and to entice more Chinese travelers to visit?
  4. ^I wouldn't get your hopes up too much, I mean, they are opening a DIFFERENT new coaster this year. I don't know how smart it would be to talk about how great NEXT years coaster will be?!?
  5. Parc Asterix for coasters. Disney for an immersive resort. If you're visiting and planning for it, maybe just hit both?
  6. The "smallest" number is the highest ranking. Technically it would rank -10000 higher than your 0s. I wouldn't recommend this. So yes, 0 is the best, and nothing changed. Awesome, thank you!
  7. Please refresh my memory... Is Zero still the highest/best ranking you can give? I noticed in going into my list last year that my top five are all ranked as zeroes. Is that correct or did something change?
  8. ^I'm actually really happy Disneyland's is opening first. I feel like WDW will be watching super carefully and learning a ton and hopefully when this one opens it won't have as many 'growing pains'.
  9. ^&^^Yup! I was at the warehouse at the I-Drive outlets about three weeks ago and got the long sleeve chip and dale holiday shirt that I wanted for $9 marked down from $39!
  10. ^&^^ Many European parks don't stay open super late. There may be days in July and August that they stay open later, but if you're looking outside of that time chances are the 6pm close is correctly listed.
  11. Shout out to KT who performed in her big Middle School musical Shrek Jr. this weekend! She played Young Fiona, which was just the perfect role for her as she's supposed to be seven years old and she was one of the only kids at school that could legit pull that off! Yay for a positive finally for being short! She also played two ensemble characters in Act Two. Young Fiona
  12. ^&^^ It would be a new Merlin high point to take an existing somewhat new ride, close it, and then repurpose it as an upcharge!
  13. That would be the FujiQ low capacity version of the ride! Build the train with all Hagrid models riding the motorbikes and you can ONLY ride the sidecars.
  14. Pretty sure you and Joey are the reason Where's the Fire is gone!
  15. ^I was wondering if the 'weird' trains would add more problems to the queue with people fighting over wanted the bike vs. the sidecar, but then I don't remember our group super caring in Australia so maybe it will work?
  16. ^HA! We also had a terrifying flight out of Edmonton! Just like you, typical Edmonton Winter Storming...captain announces we're going to pull out of the gate and get de-iced on the way to the runway. We pass the first de-icing station, we pass another, I look out at the wing and see a decent amount of snow and ice on it!!!! We pass another and turn onto the runway and the engines start roaring. At this point I'm thinking...do I try and alert someone that he forget to get de-iced!?!? Do I just assume the crash position!?! It takes a long time down the runway, but we finally take off at the very end and the captain later comes on explaining that they decided during taxiing that they didn't need to de-ice. Would have been nice to announce to your passengers a bit sooner!!! Glad to see the mall is still surviving. I think it does better than US Malls in part due to the terrible weather half the year!
  17. This new 'resort', reminds me...didn't Thorpe do something equally creepy with like 'love vans' or something equally Merlin!!!!???
  18. Disney, Stockholm, and Private Schools...yup, quite targeted!
  19. That would be a shameful defense for a park operator, because it's literally part of their job to know the forecast and not operate rides in situations where the winds are expected to become too strong for safe operations. Please let me talk to everyone about weather forecasters continued amazing accuracy!!!
  20. Why is a ride evacuation a big deal? Slow news day.
  21. Yeah, but the difference here was this was a theme park ride with average guests. Not skiers, active, and dressed for cold weather.
  22. ^High enough that the vast majority of people would get quite injured jumping off. Not a feasible solution.
  23. Thanks for the interesting clarification on how these 'work' when they 'break down'. So yeah, no danger, 49 degrees, and just some complaining Californians. Poor SeaWorld can't catch a break.
