  1. SDR posted an interview with Mount Olympus park owner Nick Laskaris as well as some Hades 360 construction photos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m17hpLiQHd4 The main points are that the ride should open memorial day and that 90% of it is being retracked. More pictures
  2. SFSTL does and SFGAm flies different american flags around the reflection pond. Great to see you're enjoying SFM. I've always thought it looked great but it's probably the least documented Six Flags park. Can't wait for the full update and videos! SFSTL Flags
  3. You should change your paths a bit. Most parks aren't just straight lines with rides jutting off. Some flat rides would help as well, seems like a lot of coasters for a small park. Steel Savage looks great though.
  4. ^^ And SFMM isn't exactly know for their stellar maintenance or construction schedules, I hope the other parks won't reflect this because of his promotion.
  5. ^^ I used it one day for my trip in August. I wouldn't say it wasn't managed well, but it didn't really let you "skip the line" either. Major coasters had fast lane waits between 30 - 45 minutes. While I expected this, the general public was not too happy about it. Really the only time it wasn't managed well was when we waited in line for Magnum, only to be told that since it was only running one train they would not be honoring fast lane. So after waiting a half hour, we were sent to the back of the normal line. That's just not good customer service for guests who payed extra. I'd still love to see them switch over to Q-bots, but Fast Lane is good for what it is.
  6. Here's another small Twitter update. The entrance sans ticket booths. TVs going up in JBs Smokehouse With Ben and Jerrys leaving, Firehouse Pizza is getting frozen yogurt!
  7. Just opened my game and got two donuts for being on level 27.
  8. ^ But the wheel fell off in 2003, and the ride re-opened in 2006. If they needed to get new trains because of that accident, wouldn't they have done it when the ride was closed for three years, and not seven years after it reopens? Or done it two years later after the Fujin Rajin accident happened? While I don't doubt that the accident wasn't part of the reason for the new trains, I don't see how they couldn't keep it open with the Morgan trains as they've done for seven years after the incident.
  9. I stick to Chrome on my computer with Firefox as a back up. Chrome has always run the best for me and just seems much simpler and cleaner than any other browser. I have Chrome on my phone as well. I don't use it much since it doesn't display sites as well as the built in browser, but it's nice that you can bring up the tabs you had open on the computer which is handy if you're in the middle of something and then need to get off the computer for whatever reason.
  10. Looks like Ninja's late opening is caused by a lift problem.
  11. ^ The HTS park should only be gone for the season. At No Coaster Con one of the entertainment leads said that any changes to Hometown Square will be reversible and that they didn't want to have to remove a lot of the area but it just wasn't really possible to leave the area as is. And while I'm kinda bummed the area will be gone for next year as it was a good place to sit and relax, it really will be best in the end with the crowd IgNite will bring. Even with the parade the area was packed, and people had half the park to spread out over.
  12. Here's a few new things around the park other than IgNite. The old ticket booths are being removed for the new entrance area. The metal detectors will be moved to their spot, with all ticket sales moved to a single building to the left. Yankee Clipper is getting a new turntable. The new sports bar replacing Crazy Buffet-lo is looking pretty good! First full service bar in the park as well. Lots of new food this year, such as this buffalo chicken pizza. Screams & Dreams part 3 production is well underway, with filming being done in what looks like an old gym shower. All pictures from the park Twitter.
  13. Maybe they want it to look like the Joker skateboarding. Didn't think of that did you? On a subject that actually matters, I'm really impressed with how this turned out. When I had heard it was getting a fun house queue, I figured that would end up getting cut from the budget. And with the music, lights, mist and animated props, they did a great job giving it a real fun house feel. Hopefully someday all the six flags parks can build rides that look this nice.
  14. SFNE also confirmed on Twitter that Thomas Town is reopening as Whistlestop Park, which will have a new season pass processing center in it. Link
  15. There's also new scratch tickets, for .99 you can play for donuts. The most you can win is 100, the least is six.
  16. Looks like X Coaster has another year at Magic Springs! http://www.screamscape.com/html/magic_springs.htm http://www.magicsprings.com/thrill-rides-xcoaster.php
  17. ^ You can get all those things with a gold season pass. The only thing that makes a membership different is the payment. http://content.sixflags.com/fiestatexas/tickets/membership-faqs/
  18. It's meant for people who aren't able to pay the full price all at once, it just spreads out the payments. You have to have it for 12 months otherwise people would use it when the park is open and then cancel it.
  19. Thought this was pretty interesting, since I've often heard that Great Adventure needs more flats. It's crazy that they lost half of their flat rides in 8 years, I guess they didn't make the best choices in flat rides for their whole "war on lines" idea. Graph from Great Adventure History.
  20. Boomerangs new paint job is certainly..bright. From Knotts network
  21. Even if there's nothing to exchange hearts for at the end, at least you can sell them for a decent amount. I just bought 11 choo choo chose you trains, then sold them all and made $11,000.
  22. The alligator place next door bought it. They reopened the bungee jump, but the slingshot was removed and the scad tower is SBNO. The old owners went bankrupt and had the property foreclosed on, so you're probably right in assuming that they had no money even before the accident.
  23. Even without the interactive element, something like this would be tons of fun, and I'm kinda surprised something like this hasn't been thought up or made yet. I would love to see a carousel where one part moves at your average carousel pace, but then another part runs at derby racer speeds.
